I believe that this is a con as the name implies that this is the official land registry which it is not. The service can be provided at a fraction of the cost through the official land registry.

We provide official copies of the title register and title plan as well as other conveyancing documents held via HM Land Registry. We do not claim or pretend to be the UK Government or HM Land Registry, this is displayed on our website and throughout our terms and conditions. At the time of writing, as a general member of the public you are only able obtain a non-certified copy of the deeds directly with Gov.uk. In order to access certified, official copies, you are able to obtain these directly via post with Gov.uk, or via a 3rd party, such as ourselves. The key difference between the 2 documents is that the certified copies are treated as evidence of ownership in court and in property transactions (e.g., buying/selling a house).

BEWARE this is NOT the Government website. They call themselves "The Official Land Registry" and they are not official in any way. They will charge you 3x what it would cost if you went to https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/land-registry to get the same information - and it takes longer (I have tried both). Their get-out line is that they say they are not the official site in the small print, but if you search for them they appear before the Government site.

The same documents are available for a fraction of the price from the official UK Government site.

Absolutely furious to discover that this wasn't the official government site where I could have paid £14 for my 2 documents rather than the £49 I did pay. This should be made much clearer and not hidden away in the small print.

Did not advise me there were 2 deeds on a property I recently purchased. Purchased the wrong deeds for a planning application. Your response was need to purchase the other deeds. Very poor.

I did not get it as I paid for and promised within one hour when I got it two days later I was expecting a lot more for the money. I spent £59 whatever three bits of paper. Since Ben informed you should’ve cost no more than £11, I will be looking at taking this further.

As I have already informed you I cancelled my order when you said you could only supply me with part of my order and emailed me information on a property that was demolished over 50 years ago ( you did refund me about 50% of cost). Before you sent out any more information I again told you I did not require the information as I required it earlier and missed my deadline as you didn’t forward me any correct details. I would be grateful if you could refund me the full amount.

Difficult to navigate to what you need and very expensive to download copies of title deeds, i wanted a nice paper copy so paid more and what i got was crumpled, creased up pieces of paper in an envelope that I had paid more than £60 for.
