I bought a book online and wasn't told that it was not available for a week and, even then, only when I emailed to ask where the book was.

Their inventory system is poor.Items claimed to be in stock may not be (see other reviews also). Despite this the company draws down funds on order rather than on dispatch and then you have to chase for refund. Zero customer service. They have a monopoly on European distribution so I suppose no reason to keep the customer satisfied.

Just to set the record straight, we do NOT have monopoly on European distribution, rather we are distributors for some publishers and for some reason you have chosen to connect this with the untrue allegation that the retail operations of the website provide a sloppy service and take money money up front which has to be claimed by the customer. Bonjour, nous avons commander 3 livres et un seul nous est parvenus. C'est la deuxieme fois que cela arrive. Lorsque nous payons les frais de livraisons, nous pensons les amortir sur plusieurs sefarim. Nous ne les payerons pas pour un seul sefer. Nous souhaitons etre prevenu AVANT si les autres sefarim ne sont pas disponibles. Kol touv

Messing up the order, bad logistics, have been waiting for some scriptures for a while, ordered it, just for them to decline and sell them till out of stock within the same day. Better go for ArtScroll US

I purchased The Schottenstein Ed. Mishnah Elucidated Seder Nashim Complete 3 Volume Slipcased Set Full Size Set on 25/10/21 to be sent to Germany. According to tracking UPS tracking #1ZW076Y26842052336 it arrived in Germany on 27/10/21 but to date has not been delivered. Please demand from UPS that it be delivered immediately or refund me and I will purchase direct from Artscroll

It looks like SOMEONE (the Lehmann Company or the UPS Not clear , because No one has yet taken the responsibility) lost my order. I still don‘t know, where is my book actually, and when can I have it finally. I wanted to Vice the Book as present for hanukka, for someone, and I can just hope, I will get it until the Holiday.

I ordered a set of Machzors (books), that were a gift. They kept trying to deliver them to the wrong address. I rang UPS twice to amend the incorrect address that Lehman’s had put down and I left a message for Lehmanns’s. The books were the sent back to Lehmanns’s, who did refund but I then had to buy the books elsewhere.

I returned an item and have been waiting over a month for my refund. No response to my emails and the phone number for web orders has never been answered. I called one of the stores and a friendly employee emailed the company on my behalf but still no reply. I am pretty shocked by the customer service.

It‘s not possible for you to put two orders (2nd on the next day!!!!) together! So I habe to pick up 2 different packages on 2 days with 2 payments at the package station. And I have to write some mails and nobody understand what I mean. And: UPS is the most unfriendly service. You don‘t have to ask them something- they know nothing with impertinent answers.

As such, orders placed the day after another order are generally unable to be joined together. My apologies that you find UPS service unhelpful. Lehmanns has very rude and inconsiderate service! Terrible customer service!! Lehmann's website is not current as they advertise items that are not necessarily in stock. They insist on getting paid up-front the moment you place an order. For EU customers they exhibit the price in Euro but immediately convert it into GBP. After several days comes an email that they are out-of-stock. They offer only to reimburse you in GBP which means your EU bank will charge a hefty commission to convert it automatically back to Euros. When I politely asked Lehmanns to keep my order and fill it once the book set is back in stock, they rudely replied. "We can't "chop and change" for every individual customer"! They also ludicrously suggested I keep a GBP account in my EU bank just for shopping at Lehmanns, conveniently ignoring the fact that holding such an account within the EU involves considerable monthly bank charges. Lehmanns also continued posting the item for sale on their website even though they already knew they were out of stock! In short, a very disappointing and costly experience. Terrible customer service!! Rude and inconsiderate! Not recommended!!

I apologize that you were charged for an item that was out of stock and incurred foreign exchange fees. We would like to reimburse you for the fees involved. I am sorry you felt that you weren't treated nicely. We do our utmost to treat all customers respectfully and fairly. Our agent was just pointing out that since we are a UK based company, if you were to have a UK account, you would not incur any foreign fees. My delivery never arrived. I contacted the company several times to figure out the problem and after an initial response they stopped responding and I never received my purchase.
