The light delivered broke as soon as I tried to put it together on the 18th October. I immediately informed lights.co.uk. They informed me they would arrange for pick up and provide a replacement. The light was finally picked up 2.5 weeks later on the 8th November 2023. I waited and waited and on the 22nd November requested a refund. I am now being ignored and not being refunded. These guys are a con. Don't buy from them.

Terrible customer service. Takes over a week for them to answer each email and they don't even reply to what you asked. Half my order still missing.

Placed an order for a light, over 1 week later, no delivery or update from Lights.co.uk. Logged into my account and the order status said 'it had not been despatched'. Tried to call 4 times and got cut off every single time. Worst company I have dealt with for a long time - STAY CLEAR. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. Have no emailed asking for the order to be cancelled (I have little faith in getting a response/answer).

DO NOT BUY ....... worse company every their delivery partners are worse then any thing the costumer service is not worth the hassle....... Took the money now refusing to give back any money believing DPD over our words. Was told that it would be delivered on Friday was told no one was at home when i was working from home when called was told that delivery companies skips some deliver due to timings but had said that they tried to deliver. i rather spend more and get good costumer service there have also been times where they have just put the phone down and no one higher to talk to ....... Rubbish company be very careful. i would not trust them at all.

Ordered a light at £179. After 6 weeks I was given a delivery date and told the item was finally in stock. I did notice the item online had a price increase to £369 when suddenly there was a “computer error” and my order was mysteriously cancelled and they claimed they could do nothing about it! Absolute scam. Don’t believe the prices online, and avoid at all costs. They never answer the phone and clearly don’t honour contracts.

Terrible company. They are NOT a uk based company despite the .co.uk website..my order has finally arrived with all the shades missing and now when I ring the line just rings out and goes dead. I thought I had researched them before placing an order but it looks like they are very good at hiding their thousands and thousands of bad reviews..I just wish I had dug a little deeper. Please avoid if you value your sanity.

Ordered a light for £212, so it qualifies for free delivery. The light has a European plug so they provide an adaptor. They have sent an email saying the order has been processed and dispatched from their warehouse. I have called them twice, seems like a 1 man band. He has said that the light has not left the warehouse and was laughing at me in the phone. He is German and sounds as though he is working from home from his bed. He doesn't really respond when you ask him a question. He compared lights.co.uk to Samsung saying that I cannot get in contact with the owner if the company as it is so big. I recieved an email from lights. Co. UK saying that the assignment number has been sent to DPD, but 1 week later there is no update, I think DPD being a large company would have things moving and would be updating their tracking info. The company are registered as co.uk but are based in Germany with an address in Goldsworth Road Woking Surrey. I have my doubts about this company as it is falsely advertisi g delivery times and their base. I would avoid them. The man Constantine who was laughing at the situation at lights. Co. UK got fed up of the conversation and said we can talk for 15 minutes or longer but it won't change the outcome, he then proceeded to say the line is bad, I cannot hear you and then cut me off. Very unprofessional, poor customer service falsely advertising do not use them just stick to a reputable UK based company.

Didnt despatch order in time and then got annoyed when I tried to chase - wouldn't give update and said the lights would be sent "shortly" after 2 weeks of waiting I wonder what they define as "shortly". The product is advertised as "in stock, delivery 7-11 days" I asked for an update and for them to be sent before the end of the week, and instead of an update I got an email saying they have cancelled the email with no explanation? Ive tried calling and the line just disconnects after ringing.

If I could leave no stars I would. I ordered the Lindby Emilienne arc floor lamp, black and gold mid January. This was delivered early February. Whilst putting it together we noticed the shade was damaged and they had tried to spray over it with a slightly different paint. It was horrible. I called to complain and I was offered money off so quickly it was obvious this was the standard response and they were used to it but I obviously didn’t want a substandard lamp. I asked for the lamp to be collected, collection took almost 3 weeks. Lamp was confirmed returned on 3rd March but as of today 16th March I have still not received my refund of £320. Please don’t waste your money and time on this company.

I placed an order on the 8th December, delivery was supposed to be 10th, I had to chase twice to find items still sat in warehouse, its now the 17th and still no lights, additionally its marketed as a uk company however its German so you are then waiting for internation shipping and customs delays - no further orders to be plced here. These were supposed to be installed by this week - not happy.

Steer clear – of the most consistently incompetent company I have ever come across in my 70 years on this planet. Why did I give them one star? Because I couldn’t give them MINUS 71 – the number of emails to and from them to complete the transaction. Or MINUS 71 – the number of days from my initial order to the confirmation of the refund. Or MINUS 40+ - the number of phone calls to lights.co.uk sorting out the order, wrong items, damaged items and refund - and the calls to DPD to sort out them being given the wrong address. Or just MINUS 2 – the number of time they lied directly to me. Hopeless!!! I ordered three external lights on 9th July 21. When DPD turned up a couple of days later – he only had one small box. Had I bought three lights for a dolls house? No. When I opened the outer box, there was only one light – and it was the WRONG one – so first call to lights.co.uk. Did get an email saying not to bother sending the wrong one back. They did send out three of the correct lights – but they put an extra space in the postcode. It didn’t arrive on the due date, or the next few days and the tracking info showed the parcel was bouncing between the Hull hub and the Chelmsford depot more than once – so called and emailed lights.co.uk, but got no help – so called DPD. They confirmed my postcode and said it should have gone to the Springfield depot as they now do my area. One of the managers drove the parcel to Springfield and it arrived a day later The outer box was damaged. There were three lights, and the correct ones, but one of the boxes was damaged and it rattled with loose parts inside. So called lights.co.uk again who agreed to send out a replacement. Despite highlighting the address issue causing problems at DPD – they again addressed it with the extra space in the postcode which had the same effect at DPD. Called lights .co.uk to ask them to sort it out. They told me they aren’t allowed to call DPD, so it was down to me to chase them again. SO I called DPD – who asked why I was calling them rather than the retailer. I told then what I had been told that they aren’t allowed to call DPD – and they said “They are lying – they are our customer and should be sorting this out for you” Again it took a manager driving the parcel to the Springfield depot – which took a couple of days this time – but the light eventually reached us intact. Lights.co.uk had sent out a return form for the damaged light, but later sent an email saying not to bother sending it back. After all this trouble we decided we’d had enough and asked to return all three lights for a refund. Labels and custom forms were emailed to us and we bundled them up into a parcel, popped on the labels ad took it to the Post Office. The return form and the customs forms clearly showed there were three lights in the parcel After a few days – more than the 3 to 5 working days they quote for receiving you refund, nothing had hit the account, so called and emailed several times to be repeatedly told there had been an internal issue and it would be passed to complaints and would be processed. This was 30th July. Waited and waited … and waited. Still nothing so more calls and emails and hey! A refund reached the account on 1st September. For ONLY ONE of the three lights! So more calls and emails and more long waits and more passing to complaints and it will be processed. I was told they couldn’t just do a bank transfer as it has to be refunded “some other way”. On 16th September I received an email saying they had refunded my PayPal account. I paid by card, and checking my PayPal account the balance was ZERO. SoI called again – by now getting quite angry and extremely frustrated. They could see it was being processed but couldn’t see it had been paid. So I told them if I didn’t see the refund for the other two in my account the next morning I would initiate a Section 75 claim with the credit card who would then be on their back as well as me. Lo and behold the next morning (17th September) my account was showing the balance of the refund full processed and deposited on 15th September – which was followed by an apologetic email about the delay in replying to my 14th September email, with a screen dump of their system showing it had been refunded by bank transfer (rather than “some other way”) on the 15th!!!! The payment they couldn’t see the day before – a day after the payment!! Finally!! But would we have accepted them anyway? The picture online looks good quality items, but reality was very different. Cheap materials, poor quality manufacture, just a huge disappointment. I then looked for some reviews. So wish I’d done that before I ordered them. Yes a good number of 5 star reviews, but way too many one star reviews all quoting issues with delivery, refunds and quality – with the advice to avoid like the plague. Wish I had!

They don't have the goods that are displayed on their site. I ordered 7 light fittings and was advsied at thepoint of sale that 6 would take 2-3 working days and 1 would be 10days. Fine, I sent ahead and paid via Paypal, thankfully, because a day later they sent mean email saying that 2 would take 2 weeks, 4 would take about 6 weeks and 1 woujld take an incredible 14 weeks. I cancelled immediately, well within my 14 day statutory right to do so. At first they refused to accept my cancellation. The website appears to be a UK company, using a London phone number but they are based in Germany. I told them I was insisting on cancelling and stated that they are selling in the UK and are therefore bound by UK consumer laws. I was prepared to report them to Trading Standards. Only then did they refund me. I have now reported them to Google Ads under Google Ad's rules against 'misrepresentation'. I would advise anyone not to buy from this company. If you have been caught out do not be weak with them or they will walk all over you. Complain to Google Ads, Paypal, Trading Standards, your credit card company, and every review site you can find.

Customer service is very poor. They do not inform you when they dispatch or when deliver the items. I called back few times and they claimed my order has been delivered - No calls, no email nothing about that. Now they are making very difficult to ask for refund and I might have to claim against my credit card company. I strongly advise you to not buying from this company.

Very poor customer service. Order was long overdue and left me in a predicament with electrician booked in and not a lot of time to get an alternative. Luckily electrician did work and returned on a later date for an extra £30 to fit the late lights from lights.co.uk who are not uk anyhow Customer service starts to ignore when realising they should be helping more and costing me money

Product arrived defective (scratches and defective paint on the base of the lamp) that was obvious. Applied for refund on the website but apparently it's not an automatic process so now I need to wait for someone to contact me by email and I cannot seal up the lamp package in case they ask me for photo of the defect or if I need to include an invoice slip. Now I have two huge open boxes in my living room. This is so annoying. Honestly waste of time I would never buy from this retailer again .
