Usually order the cotswold sweet hay. Defiantly a decline these past few months. The 1st box i ordered had several huge chunks of dried mud in. And the 2nd box was really dusty. Very disappointed as this is usually my go to hay for my bunny's and seeing the price increase with the quality decreasing is also disappointing.

I did alot of searching for decent hay for my rabbits, & decided to purchase the Timothy blend , it's really course a bit thicker than I expected, also when my rabbits pee on it , it gets really wet quickly, so I'm having to change there litter tray alot more so.im using more hay than from my original brand, think I'm going back to my original brand as this is very expensive & I'm having to use more, as two or 3 pees in the litter tray is soaking, sorry but slightly disappointed

Our Guniea Pigs love the silky soft hay and it's great as it helps prevent eye poke which one of out pigs is prone to, however it is quite often out of stock which leaves is in a bad situation each time as we try other hays and none are as good. The Sweet Soft Cotswold hay says its good for guniea pigs and also helps prevent hay poke so we ordered a big box of that to help the pigs transition however it is basically STRAW, it's totally flat, they can't burrow and it's yellow not green or even brown. Delivery is great, prices are high. If you can get the silky soft hay then great otherwise not really worth it for me.

I am pleased with the hat and other products but lately the boxes are not totally full up. Good delivery and choices of produce.

Ordered from this company due to the quality of product but for the first time the silky hay was quite brown, not the usual quality that I have come to know. But I suppose you can get a bad lot occasionally. Will still use them as they are the best .

The bundle I ordered was a decent price in terms of quantity, and also delivered next day after ordering. However, I am thought I’d order more of the Timothy blend as that’s what my bunnies are used to, however they really don’t seem to like it at all😩 I now have so much of it, I have not tried the sweet hay yet so I’m hoping they like that. My bunnies are quite fussy eaters and someone recommended this company to me saying the hay was excellent quality, it’s just that my rabbits don’t seem to think so unfortunately.

Thank you for your feedback! We’re sorry to hear that your pet didn’t fully enjoy the product this time. Just like us, pets have their own unique preferences, and it can sometimes take a little experimenting to find the perfect fit. Mixing this variety with one they already like might help ease them into the new flavour, as any dietary changes should be made over a minimum of a week. Definitely try offering them some from the Cotswold Sweet bale, it's our best seller for a reason! We'd also recommend trying a smaller box next time to see if it's a hit before committing to a large order. Please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions – we're here to help!

Been ordering form The Little Hay Co a few times and I was always happy however I'm not happy with the last order - Alfalfa Hay. I have received a box full of dust rather than hay. I'm not sure if that's how it was supposed to be but my rabbit was unable to find even small pieces to be able to chew on it. On top of it, I was supposed to receive free palm bowl which in the email I received said that it will be added free of charge to each order but unfortunately nothing. I will probably order again as other hay is quite good quality. It's a shame that this time, I had to throw the whole box to the bin tho.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that our product did not meet your expectations. Alfalfa is not a grass hay so it will not have long strands the same as a traditional hay would. Alfalfa is more like a clover and so very leafy. The leaves are where the plant keeps the nutrition and this is why we leave them in the mix because if we just sent out the stalks there would be less nutritional value to your pets. These natural characteristics are what make Alfalfa unique and different from hays in the range. I am sorry if this wasn't clear enough in our product description and I will look to make changes to this if necessary. We understand that this may not align with what you were expecting, especially if you’re used to a different type of hay. I have refunded your shipping charge to compensate for the missing free gift. We truly appreciate your understanding and hope you might consider giving our product another try in the future. The Canadian Timothy hay was excellent but the other soft silky hay wasn’t great it was all brown an crunchy , my piggies won’t eat that at all

I will be cancelling my subscription. I feel the hay is not as good quality as I had received from another company. The hay was quite brown and dry. The floral forage mix was lovely though and my rabbits really enjoyed that.

I have received this hay. Upon opening the box, the hay is very damp, ordered from here before and not had a problem, but disappointed with this last box 😕.

I placed my second order of hay and some flaked peas. Order came very quickly, upon receiving my order the peas were missing so I emailed to inform them. No response so far to acknowledge this.

Good quality hay and treats. Only minor niggle is that the Cotswold sweet hay isn’t as green and fragrant as usual

The Timothy hay was not of the standard we are used too, many of the buns in our rescue were not too keen on it. It was more like straw/old hay that fresh green. Sorry.

Hey Little Furries Rabbit Rescue. We are sorry to hear you are not happy with our Timothy Hay. This is not the feedback we are used to, we supply lots of rescues across the country as well as buns and pigs in their forever homes. Our Timothy hay is UK grown and barn dried, if you are used to buying canadian or American hay you may find there is a colour difference but we are not blessed with the same weather. Hi Michael, we are open all feedback good or bad, as a small business it helps us develop and get things right more often. Unfortunately as the pellets are a dry product and are made from 100% alfalfa and no binders, this can make them more fragile and prone to breakage, especially when in transit, so I'm not sure how we can prevent this from happening going forward but we will certainly have a think for a resolution. Please do get in touch with us at info@littlehayco.com if your pets aren't enjoying eating the pellets in their wonky state.

Unsure how I feel about this hay. The hay we usually buy is 99%+ lovely and green, but I chose this company as needed hay fast. I feel like the hay has an awful lot of brown. Im sorry to say I wouldn’t buy again. My chinchillas seem to be doing their usual and wasting a good bit of it so can’t tell if they like it or not, but I’m afraid I will be going back to my normal company once the huge box is done. It also advertised a next day delivery but this wasn’t an option at check out and took longer than I’d hoped it was going to, which defeated the purpose of buying from here.

Hi Carole Thank you for your review and we are sorry to hear you are not entirely satisfied with your order. We hand pack the hay boxes Monday to Friday and do our best to ensure boxes are full of green, full length hay for our customers to enjoy. I am sorry to hear you have had a lot of dead strands in your order, this definitely isn't the standard we like to keep. If you had contacted us earlier we would have of course arranged for a replacement box of hay to be sent out to you to rectify the situation. If you still wish to look at this possibility please drop us an email on info@littlehayco.com. In regards to the next day delivery service, we offer a next day delivery service for orders placed before 1pm Monday to Friday. We don't have the team packing orders over a weekend. We have checked out the delivery in question and DPD, our courier let us down and didn't send two vans for our monday orders so apologies for that delay! Sorry to hear you are unhappy with the price increases. Unfortunately like many businesses we are experiencing increased costs for packaging and processes which has had an affect on our unit prices for our Eco boxes. When we completed our price review in December, we also reviewed our bale pricing and put a significant price reduction on our baled products. This is exactly the same hay as the boxes, but it has been compressed, dust extracted and baled. When we made these decisions we announced the expected price changes on our Website and social media platforms as well as sending an email update to our subscribers. We definitely didn't make these decisions lightly and tried to ensure everyone was notified prior to the changes. We currently have a few offers on which allow you to get a discount on your order for referrals as well as being able to get discount codes from our reps on instagram. Hopefully some of these options allow you to place your next order. :)

Quick delivery but the hay quality is not as good as my current supplier. Smelt musty and was very brown in appearance, whereas my current hay still smells fresh 4 weeks after opening the box and looks healthier in appearance. My guinea pigs also appear to prefer their current hay supplier, they pulled 'the little hay co' into their litter trays and proceeded to use it as a toilet. Thumbs down from my Quad of boars.
