“I finally had to breakdown and replace some of my current Locals from 2015 and 2016. They last so long! I bought some new colors and can't wait to wear them when the snow is gone :)”
“Replacing a pair I've worn since 2010 – this pair has been tough! But the soles are wearing thin and while I couldn't find in a neighborhood Long's Drugs, I was glad to find the web store. Had to guess at the size and bought a pair that is too large. Except for trying them one once, and with the tags and stickers still affixed, Locals USA wouldn't take them back for an exchange, so I had to buy another pair.
I guess times are tough in the flip-flop game and you take it when you can. I'll find a brudda who the too big size will fit and trade him for a blunt.”
“I have been wearing Locals for over 30 years and typically order 4-5 pairs yearly. In terms of hours-on-foot, I wear Locals more than any other footwear, by far. Over the years I've developed my own process for breaking them in and setting the heel so they ride just right. I always have one pair I wear outdoors only and one pair I wear indoors only. I've tried on other brands, but they are all so clunky and heavy that I literally can't imagine wearing any other brand of slips. I'm so used to their lightweight, molded fit, they're like an extension of my foot. And I love the consistency of their styles (although sometimes I wish I could get them in my college and pro team colors for game days - no branding, of course. Locals only, for me.
P.S. If Locals, the company, were ever in danger of going out of business or being bought by some conglomerate, or some new exec wants to start messing around with the Locals product I know, please let me know--I'll stockpile 5 pairs for every year I think I have left on this earth, and will the remainder to my kids.”
“I ordered the wrong slippers and want to exchange them. That was my fault. I sent two different emails to you asking if someone would call me because I wanted to make sure to order the correct item. I sent the emails as I was not able to find a phone number to call you. No one has ever called me back”
“My husband is Hawaiian, back in the day you could get a pair of Locals for $5-7 at Longs. Can’t find Locals much in Hawaii’s stores anymore, so I purchase online. Prices are expensive now, but I still love my Locals.”
