“On 10/26/2024 6pm, I purchased a Master Collection moon phase watch for $4,100 at Longines retail store in Aventura Mall, Miami, Florida. It instantly lost 3 minutes per day. By Tuesday it lost 9 minutes. On Wednesday morning it display 8.09 am (ET) and appeared to have stopped. This was 4 days after the purchase!
I went back to the store, and asked for a return because The watch was clearly broken before I even purchased it. I really expected they would take it back as any upstanding company would do.
The store manager Miriam refused and claimed that it can be repaired or "maybe" replaced. I pointed out that it would be the right thing to take it back as the watch was malfunctioning even prior to the purchase. I said that lost trust in the brand and quality of the watch. The company should demonstrate that it stands behind its brand as any 'luxury' brand would do.
The store manager referred to "policy", hiding behind it. Basically, greed was more important than customer satisfaction. It is obvious that the company Longines is totally fine with selling malfunctioning watches and collecting thousands of dollars without showing any responsibility.
I accepted the offer to replace the watch under protest yesterday.
I fear that the watch will stop working as the other did before after a few days. Other posts on various websites show similar failures, this tells me mine is not a one-off as claimed by the store manager.
Again, DO NO BUY Longines!!!!!! Save the money and headache. I lost trust, and I feel cheated. Do not fall into the same trap!”
“Order placed 7/25, shipped 07/26. Will be delivered 08/01. And where is my 2 days shipping? Called customer service inquiries, got a rude agent told me impatiently: it is already shipped, she cannot do anything. I said this is a purchase of about $2500, and it is on the way for over 1 week? I asked if they can recall the package with UPS and refund. She said no because she does not have the package. Well, I don’t either. I did not like her attitude, and she hang up on me. Where is the customer appreciation? I called again, you know what? I got her again, I requested to talk to some other agent, she said other agents are all on the phone. I said I see why you are not on the phone, as you don’t like your job and you always hang up on customers. OMG.”
“This watch was gifted by my wife and daughter few years ago. Soon noticed stopwatch resetting at 1 second past. Recently noticed watch gains couple of minutes in 3 days or so . Disappointed”
“I brought my husband’s grandfather Longines watch to MOE for repair last year August. Now June 2024 finally they asked me to collect it from the store! but Upon collection I found out that it is not the watch I gave them to repair. Already two weeks communication with customer service and they are now trying to tell me that the watch belongs to me!!!!! Customer service answer emails once in 5 days, phone calls no one picks up. My husband went to the store to speak to a manager but been told that they are busy with billing’s and have no time to attend his complaint, so direct me to customer service where they never answer the calls!!!! Where is my farther’s in law VINTAGE watch are ???!!??”

“Horrible experience!! I bought a watch from Longines for 650 Euros with a 2-year Guarantee. After 2 years and one week, I noticed the time was behind (battery low) and the pin did not turn so I could fix the time. I took the watch to Longines and they put a bill for 310 Euros in front of me, which was almost half of the watch's price.
Very importantly, my uncle had the same issue (jammed pin + dead battery), only he was lucky that it was within the two-year Guarantee frame.
I don't recommend this brand to anyone. In my experience, Longines has an extremely low quality-to-price ratio.”

“My wife bought me a Longine watch for my 50th birthday and within 18 months the battery died and was replaced. The second battery lasted a little over a year and now the repaid team at Longine is asking me to replace a number of the internal components at a fairly high cost. A supposedly luxury watch 3 years old and two batteries and the working parts apparently have to be replaced.”
“Having owned and still owning several watches from mid range to 'high end' I recently bought a new model Hydroconquest with ceramic bezel in 41mm in grey. I am pleasently surprised that it can hold its own and even exceed the quality and performance of several of it's peers including some 5 times the price... As a quality and engineering manager I can say that it meets both at a very, very competitive price.”
