“Magazinesubscriptions.co.uk is an alternative way to renew my subscription, started at Greatmagazines.co.uk couple of years ago. Greatmagazines offers renewing a subscription, but it not works beyond UK. (Every year I tried to solve this problem via customer support, replied only templates.) Magazinesubscriptions allows to subscribe from abroad, as a new subscription, but not possible to choose the No. of issue. Last year received an issue twice.

“I am sorry to say that I will not be using magazine subscriptions again. I placed an order from the Christmas Page on the 12th Novembver for a Christmas gift only to receive an order confirmation to say that the 1st edition of the subscription would be despatched in 4 weeks. I then tried to ring to say that it was a christmas gift and didnt want the 1st edition to be despatched until Jan 2014. I was unable to get through to anyone who would help me for the next 2 weeks. Eventually at young man at Hearst Magazines said that he would get the 1st edition delivered to myself so that I could wrap and give as the gift and the next 11 issues would be delivered to my daughters boyfriend who the gift was for. I must say I havent received the 1st edition yet and dont hold out much hope that I will. I thought a magazine subscription to Esquire Magazine would be a great gift for my daughters boyfriend as I had previously brought a subscription last year to Cosmo for my daughter but using Magazine Subsriptions this time was a big mistake. Would not use them again.”
“I am a repeat subscriber and was sent a letter reminding me to re order at approx £85. I resubscribed on line at approx £65. What a way to treat loyal customers.”

“It is very difficult to write a review becasue so far I have not received the magazine to which i have subscribed, that is, unless it has arrived in the last two days or so ,as I have been away from home. It is not that, however, which has made me say "poor" rather than "normal". It is the fact that no one has said that it might take a while before the magazine arrives.Nobody said that it will be at least a month ,or maybe more because ...because.... whatever, whatever. That is what would have made it acceptable. So far I have paid money, I have been asked to write a review and still no magazine. I was on on the point of telephoning to check you out. I will give it one more week but I would expect to hear SOMETHING, even if I don't actially get the magazine. to tell me roughly when I might expect it.

“I live in France and ordered a magazine subscription online as a gift, approximately two weeks before the birthday date in November, for delivery in the UK. I was extremely disappointed to learn that the first issue to be delivered would be the February issue. I was told that the address labels are all printed in advance. OK, but why not print additional labels as and when required? Given the speed with which other printing companies produce cards, etc. it doesn't seem such a difficult thing to do to print an address label and post an pre- printed magazine!”

“Hi I was disappointed that having ticked the box for the 2 subscriptions I purchased to start in January I received a letter last Friday) stating they were starting in November, adding insult I had also received two Christmas gift cards to inform the people who I had purchased the subscritpion for to let them know what I had bought . After calling your office on Monday (18th) I was told by a gentleman named Chris that unfortunately the labels were printed so the magazine could not be stopped but he would look into it and get Ross to call me back on the Monday. After waiting all day I called the office again speaking to another member of staff who told me that the magazines could be delayed until January and he would make sure this request was adhered to. He did say he would send confirm this by post but to date I have not received anything.”
“Didn't receive a confirmation email. It was for a gift! So had nothing to show!!! Called and was promised it would be sent but didn't ever turn up! Eventually received a letter. Hope the magazine turns up in time!”
“Having decided to purchase this for my daughter, I was disappointed that the subscription did not include this Christmas issue as an extra. Many other magazines appear to do this.
As it is a gift, I thought that there would be some sort of gift card automacically sent to the recipient at Christmas but it is coming to me and I live abroad.
Having ordered the 12 issues in October, I then found it quite confusing to make sure that the first issue was in the New Year and she didn't get the November one.
Some other magazine subscriptions are definately easier and cheaper.”
