“My son went to Goodwill today to find some work clothes... He made the following observations and took action... I am proud of My Son for his efforts to his fellow man:
Ryan Muncy What seems like a fitting place to post this as this is my question to you goodwill industries.
What are you doing for others?
I was just in one of your stores and was witness to a def, mute boy who had a clothing voucher
This boy had an aid worker with him he had just been dropped off by his parents at a shelter with the clothing he had on .
jeans that looked to be too small, no socks some worn out shoes, and a food stained t shirt .your employee took the time to explain to the aid worker that the jeans he had picked out from your store the t shirt he had picked out and 2 sweatshirts were not covered by the clothing voucher because of the color of the tags on these items also the boots he had picked out that were some worn Stanley workboots that were priced at 17.99 they arent even $30 new by the way were not covered by the voucher as you might imagine a person who can't really hear and can't speak takes the time to pick things out just to have an employee at your store tell his aid worker he can't have these things he was obviously in need ,isn't this what you are here for ,to help people in need.
I find it shameful that your store a non for profit that sells donated items cannot help someone like this boy so instead I bought him the shirts and the jeans I spent a grand total of 21.69 and that is the last money I will ever spend in a goodwill store your CEO can make bonuses bigger then my years salary but you can't even afford to help a kid with some donated clothing shame on you and shame on your employees.
And just so you know I will be posting something similar to this on my Facebook wall I wonder how long it will be before enough people see this one story and begin to feel the same way I now do toward your stores ,your company, and your upper management. MAKE THIS GO VIRAL.......”
“I would like to stay anonymous due to fear of retaliation as I’m still receiving services through Goodwill case management. For the last 3-4 weeks my case manager Maria Rodriguez and her lead Nessa have been so disrespectful and degrading to me. I’m a domestic violence survivor and I suffered from really bad PTSD from that. The way I have been treated by Maria and Nessa has been so degrading, the way they talk down to me because of my past has made me relive that abuse. I have been through Goodwill services in the past and never been treated like this. Isn't Goodwill’s mission to help people that need it and that are really trying to do better for themselves? I know there’s others that have gone through this with them but are too scared like myself to say anything because of retaliation. I do have to say that during all this there has been one person that from the beginning during my Intake appointment has treated me with so much respect and has help me out more then my case manager. Ms Dora and the team that works with her never judged me or degraded me in anyway. Ms Dora has been one of the most caring person I have ever meet and tries so hard to help others. I have seen it. Goodwill needs a lot more people like Ms Dora she is the definition of Goodwill mission.”
“I’m writing in regards of the Tujunga location With all the horse playing and the groping and the manager there raffi A fondling with some black chick behind the store these are very concerned issues that need to be looked into. Thank you.”
“Fort Mill, South Carolina Goodwill
Joe Q is a phenomenal worker!! He helped me when I was looking for things. Explained the item more in depth. It was a toy for a grandchild. I love going there when he is there!
Thank you so much, Joe Q!!!”
“St. Augustine, Florida
Ronnie and Jane helped me tremendously when I pulled up with a U-Haul van of purged items from my home. It was just before closing and all carts, donated items we already were inside for the day. With this being said, their attitudes and willingness to help exceeded all boundaries.”
“I like Goowill pretty good. What I don't get is how your prices going up all the time.. The things are given to you free so why the high prices. I see things there from the dollar tree marked $1.99 . People that go there mostly go there for things they can't afford else where. I have seen underprivileged people there buying clothes and shoes for their kids to start school. You are supposed to be helping this kind of people. I shop there , I buy there but it is getting to where I can't afford things there. I find things I could pay a dollar or two more and get a new one. You are cutting your own throat. Better think this over. You need to help people.”
“This organization as a whole can not be trusted. Right down to the employees. Use to shop in stores for years and that went to hell. Tried online which I never thought was a worse experience. No accountability across the board. More lost items, electronics that don't work, or their fall too is abandoned. You are actually better shopping with ebay where as a buyer you are covered in the event of fraud which seems to be common place with this organization. Just look at their Better Business Report where there is 10% resolved issues out of 100%. That pretty much says it all. What is abandoned is any morals anyone must have to work for this place. "Putting people to work" on the backs of others. That should be their moto. I'm surprised they haven't been shut down yet.”
“I went today to Goodwill donation center located on 13720 W State RD 84,Davie,Fl 33325, and I wanted to share with you my experience.I believe its worthy, for the first time in many years, I found a worker that did an outstanding job.She was really kind and happy, ready to help. She showed that she is enjoying what she is doing. For the first time i felt welcome there, and more that happy and blessed to donated my stuff. Her name is Ms Collado. Thank you very very much for being a new face of this location in particular.”
“I've been a good worker and got treated poorly then got chosen over a lazy employee, I've always shown up on time and early at times then I get fired out of nowhere because I "slammed" a door at someone who was threatening me then getting in my face, I told hr that I wasn't comfortable and safe in my work environment then few days later I got called to be fired, I don't know what I did to deserve this but I've been working there since August.”
“Had an online Will done up for my father in 2021. The hard copy was printed out and signed by 2 witnesses. He passed on in July 2023. This online Will was presented to my probate lawyer and accepted and embossed by the Family Court. Making a Will online using templates is a good and legitimate way of making Wills. It is legally recognised by the Court. The most important thing is for the Will to be printed out and signed by 2 witnesses. The testator must also sign on every page of the Will. Court requires the original signed Will signed in wet ink by both testator and the 2 witnesses.”
“Easy to use and was guided step by step to complete a Will that I long want to do but hesitant as thought it would be complicated and not sure how to start.
Thumbs up to MakeGoodWill that make Will writing so easy.”
“For most of us who has a simple Will , this is a easy way to get started. Simplicity implies single tier structure where you identify each and every assets and link to a single entity (single person or a charity Organization ).”
“I’m happy with goodwill, i think its good for people like me who have straight forward assets to allocate in the event of passing.
Thanks Priya and team 👍”
“Goodwill personnel are most helpful and trustworthy. Moreover, their pricing is very reasonable.
I have no hesitancy in endorsing their services and recommending them to anyone who wishes to write a Will.”
