“A Marks And Spencer employee named Becky, in the menswear department at the Hedge End store was incredibly helpful yesterday. I wanted to buy two jackets but they were not available at the store or online. Becky very kindly tracked down these items at the Whitely and West Quay stores who reserved them for me. Five star service even though the payment desk was very busy.”
“First time in ages popped in to the cafe with my sis after a food shop. So disappointing. Queued forever, ordered two oat milk hot chocolates £6.90 and tasted like it was made with water from a vending machine. Used to be my go to coffee stop. Won’t visit again.”
“A while ago I applied for a job there, I got an interview and it was a great experience, I was told that I would hear back weather I got the job or if I was unsuccessful. However MONTHS went by and I had not heard back. I contacted numerous phone numbers and email addresses and everybody was extremely rude to me and said that there was no way they could tell me. I gave them the name of the employer and everything. I did not mind that I had not been successful with the job but I would have appreciated being told as I was applying to other places at the time and I wanted to know my options. The people I contacted kept giving me other contacts to message but then those contacts gave me more contacts and absolutely nobody could help me. Extremely rude and unprofessional your recruitment process needs to be sorted out.”
“Went to the upstairs cafe for Breakfast and could not fault it! Our order was taken by Jonathan and it's been a long time since we've had such a good level of service. He also made the teas (asking if we'd like an extra pot of water) The Breakfast arrived quite quickly and was very enjoyable indeed. Will definitely be back. Thankyou.”
“We decided to have breakfast on Saturday 4.11.23 and we were really looking forward to it. Please don't bother, I had the vegetarian breakfast and my husband had the traditional breakfast, along with two latte coffees. Both breakfasts were cold and tasted so bland!
Can't justify £24.00 that we paid.
You really do need to serve food hot and tasty.”
“I went this morning to get some food before the rush, the self service till wasn't scanning my items, the advisor came to assist but said I had to go to a check out, there wasn't any open so she opened a till to serve me, she was very put out it felt like I was an inconvenience, she had brown shoulder length curly hair a lazy eye and was very miserable, I haven't shopped there for ages so was looking forward to it today but I just felt i was very unwelcome!”
“I used to love shopping at M&S, Hedge End, I used to go every Friday, for the food hall. However, since the refurbishment, and the new smart food hall was opened, I am sorry to say I have been only twice because I cannot stand the music that is being played. Normally in a store it would be background music that you can almost ignore but this is not the case in this store. I visited yesterday just to see if anything had changed, and it hadn't, I couldn't wait to get out. Please could you consider that not every-one want's to listen to loud music.”

“Went for a suit for my husband for my daughters wedding- excellent service from Nicholas in the men’s department- found exactly what he wanted, fitted perfectly, lent him shoes and a shirt to get the full effect. He even found us the perfect tie to match the suit and my outfit. Well done M & S”
