“The reason for the lower mark is that I was disappointed with the knots in the yarn,other than that pleased with finished garment and colour quality of yarn. Also service regarding ordering and delivery.”

Hi Joan, We’re sorry to hear you've not had a good experience when using our yarn. Due to the nature of spinning and balling yarn, occasional knots are unavoidable when joining sections of yarn during the process so it is standard to allow for a couple of knots within a 100g ball. This greatly reduces wastage of the yarn and allows a smoother balling process. However, we appreciate you letting us know and will pass the feedback onto our suppliers to note for future production. However if you feel you have been used an unusually "knotty" ball, please send us an email to info@marrineryarns.com with some images of the knotty ball you may have and we can discuss this further with you. “I received my order really quickly and fabulous yarns, well packed and a pleasure to work with. Four stars as I have been waiting for a couple of particular shades to come into stock since May - can't be helped I am sure.”

“Have previously orderd with no problems.wasn't happy with 1 batch of wool.kept finding knots or breakages.rest of different batches of wool no problem.”

Hi Kathy, We're sorry to hear that you have a poor experience using one of our yarns. Whilst we expect their to be some knots in a ball due to how they are made, if you feel you've received an especially "knotty" ball or one that has been poorly made, please send us an email to info@marrineryarns.com. “I have always been happy with your service. I am unhappy with the patterns being sent on a computer. I prefer to have to pattern in my hand!! Not everyone has a printer and sometimes it does not come out at A4.”

“my only problem was that you pack the wool so tight into the bags that it is hard to open without cutting the balls of wool which i have done twice”

“I have ordered several times before and goods always brilliant good price good quality but this time I was disappointed and very annoyed lots of knots in several balls of yarn which when knitting having to use knitting needle or cable pin to undo and continue not something I have seen before ever in my years of knitting and not what I would expect from yourselves.”

“I bought Aran fleck with tweed to make a warm winter jumper for my adult son. It's 75% acrylic; 20%wool &5%viscose. It feels cosy but the black flecks are dropping everywhere, not the pale blue ones.”
