I was very happy with my past purchases although I waited a while for my order I was over the moon with the quality of the yarn. However iv tried to make more orders in the past 3 weeks but most of the yarn is out of stock in the get cosy range.

Our website will be updated as soon as we receive stock, so it is best to keep checking when you can. The fault for my order doesn't lie with Marriners, but with their courier. 3 "attempted" deliveries were made when I was home all day for all 3 "attempts". When I tried to contact the courier I was either told my order was delivered or there was no record of me making a complaint. My order has since fallen off the face of the earth so I've put this order down as a loss and had to order yarn from elsewhere as it was a Halloween order.

i ordered chunky by mistake and all though marriners system showed it was still waiting for dispatch i was unable to change it as they insisted it had been sent

The pink yarn I purchased is far from perfect. Strands are cut meaning I've lost quite a lot of it. Knitting along and find it hanging be threads. I'm not sure about the rest of it as I've only used one white one so far. Far from happy

I ordered the Chunky Yarn in the Madonna shade because I thought that shade would be absolutely the perfect shade for my new project. What came was quite a lot lighter than what the picture lead me to believe that I would be getting. This isn't the first time this has happened. And it's quite frustrating. The pictures can be quite different to what you get. It's not every time which makes it difficult because you can't tell which yarn will come and be right and which will come and be totally different.

I knit most of your yarns and am delighted with them Trying the aran fleck with tweed and the flecks are very loose, some come off while knitting so a bit disappointed.

I am a new customer and stumbled on the Marriners wool. Purchased 5x100grm balls DK, Wool arrived via Royal Mail within three days. However I was disappointed by how harsh the wool felt, also the end of the ball had a varied difference of thickness to it, which I had to cut. However, it has knitted well, so hope the other balls remain a consistant thickness.

The only reason for the low score is the packaging on my artificial flower order was very badly damaged, squashed to half its size. I refused delivery and in fact had a refund. I have now ordered them again in the hope that Marriner have spoken to their delivery provider and stressed the importance of careful handling of orders. Now, to be completely fair to Marriner, in my three phone calls to them, they could not have been more helpful, I am naming Andrew in particular. I realise once the order has left their domain they don't have much control over the handling of parcels So, we live in hope of a safely delivered order.

Hi Jane. The parcel containing your order was returned to us yesterday by the courier, and we can see that the box had not been handled carefully by the courier. However open opening the box, we can confirm that the artificial flowers inside the box were still in great condition and you wouldn't know they'd been stuck in a damaged box for almost 3 weeks. We haven't had any other parcels containing the flowers being reported as being damaged, so hopefully, they are taking better care of the parcels now and the replacement you've just ordered is delivered in good condition. Didn't receive 1st time,had to ring you and then received it, thank you by special courier, Payyment was taken immediately on 1st ordering. Problem with delivery side ?

Hi Barbara, We are sorry to hear that you have not had a great experience this time with our Mermaid Double Knit yarn. Knots in the yarn are, unfortunately, an unavoidable part of the manufacturing process across the whole industry as this reduces the amount of yarn being put to waste during the spinning and balling process. We have raised feedback to our supplier regarding this, and whilst knots are unfortunately an unavoidable part of the manufacturing process, they will look to see if there are any ways for them to improve this process to reduce the chances of them having to create knots in the yarn. Previously I found the £1.25 DK yarns were a lot softer than the £1 essential yarns so this time I only ordered the £1.25 one. I am very disappointed because, even within the same colour yarns, half of the yarns feels like the cheaper essential brand and half are the expected softer one. The quality of the DK yarn is not consistent.

Dear Customer, We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the Double Knit yarn you recently received from us. Whilst our Essentials range is priced slightly less than our standard double knit range, there should be no real difference between the quality of the yarns. The main difference between the ranges is that our Essentials Range does not have as much choice with the colours/shades available. I’ve been knitting most of my life ( I’m 85) and I haven’t used Marriners wool for years it used to be very good then. I wanted to knit something special and I brought your wool.But I was very disappointed it now easily sprits.

Really disappointed with the Aran wool cone not as heavy duty as I expected more like double knitting thickness than Aran and wool splits while knitting.

We know our customers love our DK range, however if you'd prefer the yarn to be softer, we do stock our Supersoft Baby DK which is currently available in 11 different shades.
