Unfortunately this lady steals.peoples cats. She is very cruel.& has left grandchildren without there cat. She isn't even bothered though she has been connected about it

Marriner Yarns said a large order made on 24/11/22 was dispatched on 25/11/22 and provided a tracking number however they never gave this parcel to Royal Mail who are still waiting for this. Marriner Yarns was paid right away but did not actually send this parcel which is theft. You were emailed several times but refused to look into this until 10/12/22 (Andrew very unhelpful) so poor customer service as well. The items are no longer in stock but I have still not received a refund. Very disappointed and will have to take further action to get my money back.

Good morning We have tracked your parcel with Royal Mail, this was delivered on 10th December into the safe place you have set up with Royal Mail. As there were strikes on 24th & 25th Royal Mail did not pick up any parcels from our warehouse until Monday 28th November. As advised in our emails the Royal Mail strikes have impacted our delivery time scales. We are pleased to see that you have since received the order. Kind Regards Marriner Yarns Team

When I first found your website in 2014 I thought what a wonderful selection of yarn and colours. Sadly I dont feel the same about your site now. Your stock on most yarn types is rock bottom in fact its at an all time low. You really need to restock soon or your customers are going to order elswhere like im having to do. So come on Marriner Yarns get you act together or you wont have many customers left

Hi NickMountain We don't have a date of when more stock will be delivered. The website will be updated as soon as we receive stock, so it's best to keep checking when you can. I called today for advice with regard to the amount of wool I would need to make a 4ply sweater, as I wanted to make the sweater longer and the sleeves shorter! The person I spoke to wasn't very helpful as he said he wasn't good at knitting and he put me on hold to ask someone. Apparently there is no-one in your company who can give me the advice I need.. I am a new customer and so far have not received my wool yet, so cannot comment on the quality but I must say I am not impressed with the service.

Good Morning Sorry to hear you were unhappy with the service you received. It is very difficult for us to know how much yarn you are going to require if you are going to adjust a pattern, especially if you are extending the body of the item. We would suggest adding more balls to what the pattern states, you can always return any unused yarn for a refund. Kind Regards Marriner Yarns Team

I recently bought soft baby yarn and 2 of them had yarn cut off and knotted in 2 places. When contacted , I was told that it is normal to have such knots. I find it hard to believe because another supplier ( I donot want to name them) from who I bought aran yarn immediately sent a replacement

Good morning Sorry to hear you were unhappy with your yarn. Knots in yarn are, unfortunately, an unavoidable part of the manufacturing process across this industry. It happens when one length of yarn or wool is joined to another; either when the end of the yarn length is reached or when there are breaks in the yarn being spun. Ordered and not received, Payment taken but they say they have received no order. I've used Marriner several,times in the past without issue. Let's hope this can be resolved.

Hi Janice, We are sorry to hear about the delay you encountered receiving your order. I can see that we did send an email earlier today to advise that the Royal Mail tracking updated a day after you left your review to show the parcel being delivered on the 10th of August at 1.10 pm. I am trying to order online and my order has been processing for hours? Right now finding a brilliant distributor on my doorstep was amazing, but yet too good to be true. Yes I am in Wales and they are based in Cardiff. Once you try to order your order is apparently processing but you can never reach the payment page. :-( Horrendous

Wool not at good I start the wool from the middle but found four ends so I will have knots everywhere I what I’m knitting

Hi Lynn, We are sorry to hear that you’ve not had a good experience using our yarn. Knots in the yarn are, unfortunately, an unavoidable part of the manufacturing process. It happens when one length of yarn or wool is joined to another; either when the end of the yarn length is reached or when there are breaks in the yarn being spun. This allows for a lot less waste when spinning and balling. Some materials or yarn types may also be more prone to breakages and knots than others, depending on the manufacturing process. Although it’s part and parcel of the yarn trade, we do try to keep knots to a minimum, but you may still find a few in some balls occasionally. This does not mean your yarn is faulty. However, if you find you have received a particularly ‘knotty’ ball where there are more than a few knots in each ball, you can send us images to info@marrineryarns.com that show the problems with the yarn and we can send these over to our suppliers. Did not order from mariners used shaws as your sister company and the item was cheaper ….feel this is totally misleading …it is the same company and should be the same price!!!!!! Also only ordered yesterday so. Items not received wives yet !!!!

Hi Gwyneth, I can see that your order in connection with this review was delivered on January 22nd. If you are querying your most recent order from February 25th, I can see that your order was processed for dispatch the following day, Saturday Feb 26th. This would have been collected the next working day by Royal Mail on Monday, Feb 28th. Orders are sent on a 48-hour delivery service, but delivery can sometimes take 3 - 5 days on average, unfortunately. I am sorry to hear that your order has not yet arrived, but I can confirm that it is still in transit with Royal Mail, and I imagine that it will be with you any day now. The Marino yarn that I ordered was full of little knots and breaks in the yarn. Seven knots AND five breaks in 100 grams is far too many. I have sent the ball of wool back to you that was worse. You should have it today or tomorrow at latest.
