“I am using chunky at the moment but was a little disappointed that I had three joins in one ball. Other than that knits up beautifully”

“Was disappointed with the super soft baby wool because it felt quite rough and wouldn’t want to put it on a baby my 100% just plain acrylic is softer.”

“We have found that Shade 144 has a lot of knots. We haven’t use any of the others yet so not sure if they have knots”

“I ordered, I paid, you delivered, in reasonable time, in good packaging and nothing missing. I gave an average of 3 stars as there were no dramas to reduce the star, no customer service to increase it as this is what I would expect as standard for internet purchases. Thank you for the Haribos. I have received an email from Mariner asking why I gave a negative review. I did take the time to reply to your email with my explanation but it was 'NO REPLY' (Not helpful) So Mariner, this is what I said, and I stand by 3* review, average star for basic service. Hello. I did explain my 3* review in the review. A 3* to me is in the middle of 1* & 5*, average, nothing wrong, nothing spectacular. For me, the basic standard I expect is I order, I pay, you deliver, and that is what I got. Any more than a 3* is you have given exceptional service, I got basic service. If there was a problem with the order and you had sorted it out, you would have got a higher star rating for exceptional service. I can't rate the yarn, because I haven't used it yet, maybe I will when I have. I’m sorry you see my review as a negative, it wasn’t meant to be. Regards Kate Newey”

“Order arrived promptly, nice wool and colours. Disappointment that the 2nd 100gms of Essentials Grey I am using is broken in 3 places and has a knot (another break). Hope the rest of the Grey is better. That said, it is inexpensive and seems to be knitting up well. I would have liked to give it more stars but breaks are extremely annoying.”

If you aren't satisfied with your goods, you can return them for a full refund, providing they are in their original condition, within 30 days of receipt. “The yarn is easy to work with and knits up well for my Marriner pattern. Choosing colours online was difficult as the darker colours looked almost black, so there was some guesswork. I chose 'emerald green', which looked an extremely dark bottle green. When it arrived it was bright bright green and unsuitable for the garment. With the first order came some colour samples. It's crucial to request these first, before ordering. I contacted Marriner two weeks ago to ask how to return the unwanted yarn, and had no reply.”

“I have used the sock yarn which when compared to other brands feel thinnner. The one thing that bugs me is the way the wool is wound. It comes off very easy in clumps tangling the yarn. I have used your yarn over the years and usually quite satisfied.”

“The wool products were of good quality but the toy stuffing (cushion filling)came in a very small paper bag and it was disappointing and not your usual standard.I will not be ordering any more toy stuffing from you.”

Dear Mrs Thomas, the toy stuffing you bought is100% natural wool, from our own flock of sheep. The bag contains 250grams, the same as the polyester toy stuffing comes in. Hi Kathleen, All our Marriner patterns are PDF downloads, as listed on the website and on your order confirmation email. Please note, these are not sent with your yarn order. They are sent to your Marriner Yarns account, where they are stored for indefinite and can be viewed, downloaded and printed off at any time. Please log into your account to access your patterns. “I'm very happy with the wool and accessories that I have received. I also love the knitting patterns just Wish we don't have to print patterns ourselves, as I don't have a printer and have to ask a friend which isn't always convenient.”

“good yarns but unfortunate thatathe website does not mention shade nos. i was purchasing marriners hermitage yarn and bought the one that looked right on the photos. unfortunately it was a different one as marriners are not, at present, stocking the shade i wanted. it is important to give all the relevant info for online selling success and customer satisfaction”
