The colours of the yarns were reasonably accurate and the yarn came well packaged and arrived on time. However, the yarn is quite thin compared to most other aran yarns and does not knit up to standard tension

Delivery was quick but I was very disappointed to find a knot about a quarter of the way into the ball

Hi Thank you for your feedback. We endeavour to use the highest quality products and always do our utmost to minimise faults in our yarns. Unfortunately, it does happen occasionally. Due to the nature of spinning and balling yarn, occasional knots are unavoidable when joining sections of yarn during the process. This greatly reduces wastage of the yarn and allows a smoother balling process. Hope this helps. Marriner Yarns Team

Up to now I have been really happy with my yarns from Mariners .I have had several orders and love their yarns .However this last order of Get Cosy blanket yarn was a disappointment .Every ball of yarn I have used has several knots in the yarn .These knots really ruin the look of my knitting .

Dear Customer We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the number of knots you've encountered with the Get Cosy yarn. Due to the way our Get Cosy yarn is constructed (not traditionally spun) the potential for knots in the yarn is slightly higher. This is an unavoidable part of the production process. However if you feel that there were more knots that necessary, please can you send us some images showing the number of knots you were experiencing to info@marrineryarns.com Marriner Yarns Team

Love knitting with the SuperSoft Baby 3 ply, the items look good with even stitches, also it doesn’t snag on my dry hands while knitting. Problem is that it doesn’t feel ‘superSoft’ compared to my usual yarn.

Received my order of aran cones. Was pleased with the cream aran but alas the blue aran (supposedly the same grade of wool) but it's just like DK and had to change to a full size smaller needles and even at that it doesn't really please me. Have I any comeback?

I bought 3 cones of 4ply acrylic. They were nice and soft and I thought I would be pleased with them. However when I started knitting with them they turned out to be different thicknesses and I needed different tensions depending on the colour used.

Mariner have had some issues with delivery of yarn. My order didn't arrive in time for me to complete my project. However, I requested a refund which was processed very quickly. Thank you

SAll double knitting seems different. Dark colours seem much coarser and thicker than light colours. I have to adjust needle sizes when knitting dolls. Love the selection of colours, but need to find a milk chocolate shade.

I chose pure wool to make warm hats for a charity. The red wool seems to be finer than the grey and the first red ball used has disappointingly had 5 knots/breaks so far (less than halfway) into the 100g.

I've used your yarns for years but recently I've found the quality less than it used to be. The double knit fluffs up even while knitting and I've found quite a lot of knots in the yarns whilst knitting which is so annoying in the middle of a long row. This also happened today in the chunky yarn I recently ordered. I always try to use the yarn from the middle of the ball but it seems now the wind is different and it's very difficult as inside the balls are very knotted.

The yarn is as I expected and I am satisfied with it. However, the package was ripped and I could see the contents; two out of the three cones had their plastic bags and one had its yarn band removed but all were in the package. There were two information sheets from the company there. I did tell the delivery person but I don't believe it was his fault. That is why I have given it 3 stars instead of 5.

The yarns are all fantastic. However, dispatch and delivery times need some work. Sometimes it takes over just to dispatch and overall I’ve a week to arrive. I’m not saying they are slow but my child has now outgrown the knitting pattern.

I recently bought 3 balls of the sock yarn. I love the colours , its lovely and soft but am not at all happy as the balls are too lightly wrapped. Two chunks of yarn fell away from the ball and I spent the best part of two hours undoing the tangles. The next ball I use will be rewound as I cant bear to have to go through that again.

Although delighted with the colour of the yarn when it arrived, it took longer for the parcel from Wales to arrive then a parcel sent to me from Norfolk

The yarns are good except for the white which turned out to change colour when knitted up as it went a grey ish colour. Am sure they did not believe me and all I was offered is 2 replacements

Disappointed with way this yarn knits up. Threads separate and the yarn fluffs up so easily. Have had to keep cutting off the excess fluffy bits.

So disappointed with the new merino yarn. I really love the cream and soft white shades and planned to use them in my weaving. When it arrived it was very thin for DK, not a disaster but still thin, it was also very slippery to the touch and stretched with a little tweak, so no good for warping. I must admit I was expecting a bit more texture to the yarn.

Hi Sheila Sorry to hear you are unhappy with the Merino Yarn. This yarn by its nature is smooth and fine. Unfortunately not all yarns will be suitable. Marriner Yarn Team
