“Box was supposed to be complete with frame but can’t really see how you are supposed to fit this to the wall. Have made it work but it’s not secure”

“The box looked good but the plates that retain the latches are not adequately secured. In fact the unit I received had different screw, three the same and one wider but shorter. Only two of these screws seem to secure well making me feel the IP rating will be difficult to achieve.”

“hi i have received your box whilst away on holiday, my wife took delivery of the box. to let you know it has been crcked on the 2 bottom corners, I can fit it and it wont show, nevertheless it was damaged . probably chucked about during transit.”

“Meter box and hockey stick were sold separately. UKPN told me that they should be sold together. A severe and costly delay to the job was averted by quick delivery in both cases however.”

“Delivery was good. Unfortunately one of the boxes had a crack in it. If it adversely affected it’s function I would of returned it. It needed to be utilised so didn’t hsve time to return. Some instruction and details on fitting would of been useful.”

“I had an issue with the electric meter box I ordered it was not complete and had some access holes In the box that were not needed.I rung customer services and they sorted it out very efficiently to my satisfaction and some 2inch plastic hole plugs arrived in the post the next day”

“Delivery was excellent. Cannot fault the service. Box still smells of solvet a week after sitting outside. As soon as I arrive on site the overpowering smell is there.”

“The meter box itself is fine, but the back board that has to be purchased separately does not meet UKPN standards for fixing a power supply to. I had cut a piece of 18mm ply and fix that to the 'recommended' back board before UKPN would finish the connection. It also does not come with the M6 20mm screws that fix it to the Meter box”

Dear Sir, Thank you for your review of our product item EBP0031. We are sorry that you were not satisfied with the product and you felt that it did not meet your needs. I can assure you that the EBP0031 electrical kiosk does meet the current regulation of International standards for empty enclosures as applied to low-voltage switch gear and control gear assemblies IEC62208:2011. UKPN does state that the meter board can be wooden or other material and if using a wooden back board, then this should be fire retardant. The backboard that we supply for this product is manufactured from Polyester and does comply to the current standards. I hope this addresses your concerns. Regards, The MeterBoxesDirect team
