Never received my box even the tracking said it was delivered. On top of that I have to wait to get someone from customer service to answer back from an email. They don't have a phone number so I can actually talk to a person and get it resolved today. So frustrating.

I ordered from them I paid almost 60 dollars , I got a box of vegetables. The lettuce , collard greens basically all the leafy greens were bad and almost molded . I didn’t put everything in the fridge the next day the smell was horrible . I have never bought produce and had to refrigerate ASAP !!!

I heard about this company through a family member and I loved the idea of it, taking produce that no one else was going to eat and keeping it from being wasted is great because I know how much food goes to waste for being a little damaged or not perfect enough for grocery stores. However, execution on this 'solution' is not good. So the way the website works is that you can 'build your box' 4-5 days before it will be delivered (i.e. I would build on Monday to get the box on Saturday). However, when building the box items are sorted into 3-4 categories and you have to choose a certain number of items from each group (even if you don't want them?) Typically I plan out meals for the week on the Thursday/Friday before and go grocery shopping on Saturday. This box made it completely impossible to plan. On my first box I planned fajitas because one of the things I was sort of forced to get was limes as I just needed another pick from that category and I didn't want to waste. I made plans for all the veggies I was supposed to get in the box but was very disappointed when it arrived. I had some squash in the box that had been thrown in together with everything else causing my green peppers to be smashed (no big deal I just was going to cut them up anyway) but they didn't include sweet potatoes I had ordered and seemed maybe instead they sent me more limes?? I received 4 limes, in what world is that 1-2 servings of lime?? Needless to say I wasn't terribly impressed, but in the name of fairness I decided to give them one more chance, but the second box was even worse than the first! At least I was able to use everything in the first box. The second box was two days late. They said it might be held up by the snowstorm, but there was absolutely no more snow and should not have been delayed because of that (so I had to make plans and go shopping without being sure of what/how much produce I would be getting from Misfits). In my second box I ordered romaine lettuce, green leaf lettuce and spinach, it seems as though they just substitute if they don't have what you actually ordered, which is absolutely ridiculous since they're limiting your choices so much in the first place but I received RED leaf lettuce (seemed much more bitter than the green) and two bunches of spinach with no other lettuce to speak of. This was not in my plans-so now what was I going to do with all this spinach? (which still had the roots and was covered in dirt that got everywhere in the box) I also didn't get the broccoli that I ordered and the tomatoes I got were very soft (they were supposed to be beefsteak so soft to the touch is not what I anticipated.) And when I cut into the onion I got it was rotten inside. I ended up going to the store to get $15 more dollars in produce to replace what I NEEDED for the week. This service is not convenient and doesn't save me any money because I honestly end up with a lot of produce I don't know what to do with. You'd be better off simply buying what you WANT from the store than getting a box of random stuff of questionable quality.

I keep finding bugs and moldy produce in my boxes....it’s seriously not worth it!

Thank you for your message. Misfits Market strictly adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), industry standards that maintain quality products. Among them is ensuring that masks, disposable aprons, hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), sleeves, and gloves are worn at all times by employees when working with food or packing. Also, we constantly clean our refrigerated facility during and after shifts and sanitize frequently. We also freshly pack our boxes on the day they are picked up by our third-party shipping partners. Including packing materials to keep them fresh on their journey. We would like to investigate what happened, but we will need some identifying information from you. I received my first box and was upset when I opened it. The lettuce was rotten and slimy green stuff had gotten all over everything. The apples were mush. The tomatoes were smashed. The squash was slimy and bruised. These are only a few examples. There was absolutely nothing edible in the box. It looked like it had all been picked out of the trash. And the packaging? Misfits touts great packaging. Not so! Everything was thrown into the box and a plastic ice pack was thrown over that. There was no special handling at all. It's like they just didn't care. And customer service? Well, there is none. They won't pick up the phone. They won't respond in chat. They won't answer email. Do not order from this company!

They are a scam, they pay people to post pictures on social media of beautiful hand crafted boxes of perfectly ripe produce but what you get is a box of garbage and mold. Horrible customer service..

Never received my first order or 2nd order!!! The distribution warehouse is literally 5 minutes from my house!! I was so excited to have this come to my door every Friday! Both shipments did not show tracking, besides the fact that shipping is pricey!!

I really wanted to love this. But the quality of the produce was not good and it seemed to spoil fast. I had a squash starting to rot just a day after I got the box. Also common to have items missing. Cost is about the same as if I bought from my local store, but a worse value since it's not as fresh. Cancelled after 3 boxes.

My first order was exceptional. The choices were in keeping with my needs and the quality was very good. After that, the choices became mundane, especially in the "select 6 category", and the quality wasn't as good. My third delivery (after skipping a week because of the poor choices offered) was a big disappointment. Today I canceled my subscription. I will mask up and return to my local farmstead.

My first order shipped on time, arrived 3 days late due to bad weather, so reserved judgment on quality (quantity not particularly scant - about what expected) as several items were inedible due to having frozen then thawed. They did refund $6 of the $28 order when I reported it. Second order shipped/arrived on time but quality and quantity worse than first. No cooling pack in this box, inadequate packing material in an overly large box allows items to jostle and bruise to the point of mushiness. If all you ever order are root vegetables and hard squashes, might work well for you, but everything else is a disappointment.

My 1st order never delivered. No response from cust serv for 3 attempts. No phone number to call. Called shipper they said to call supplier. What a joke!

I am NOT satisfied with this company and I haven't even received an order. They make you provide payment information and order a box before you even get to choose what's in the box. THEN, their system won't allow you to cancel the order if you don't see anything that you like. I tried to cancel my order immediately and even sent an email to customer service right away to let them know to cancel my order and I still got charged and received a shipping notification that evening! On top of that, my order is shipping to a random address that isn't mine and there is no phone number to call for help! I DO NOT recommend this company!

Thanks for your feedback. We do use it to improve and appreciate your time in leaving it. We looked into your concerns with our Tech team and our website will not automatically enter information into our system on your behalf. However, information such as your address can be pre-filled from your device. As this is controlled in the settings on your device we would not be able to adjust those and you would need to contact your device's manufacturer for further instruction on how to change the information it is using. When you set up an account with us we do ask for your billing and shipping information. We, however, do not charge until the day before your box is scheduled to deliver (https://www.misfitsmarket.com/faq#18). So up until your order is processed you can log into your account and make changes to your order or even skip or cancel your subscription. Unfortunately, once your order is processed it is on the way to you and can not be altered or changed. We would like to check the status of any communication with our Customer Success team regarding this concern but we will need more information to identify your account. I tried to place my first order. It was due to be delivered 2 days ago. Then I got a message that due to weather it would be a day late. That is excusable. Goods were supposed to be delivered yesterday. Nothing. I tried tracking my order on the website. Here's what I got "No estimated delivery date." Now the goods are 3 days old and I need to grocery shop! There is no customer service number so you have to complain via website and hope someone gets back to you. TERRIBLE. I will be cancelling my subscription!

Most items received were wilted or mushy. 3/4 of the items would not have been good to use on the day I received them. I didn't expect perfect but they should last longer than one day. I cancelled my subscription.

I signed up but was unable to sign into my account after creating it. After 2 weeks of back and forth with customer service and trying multiple suggestions the issue was not resolved. I was offered the opportunity to set up a new account but needed to have another email address. Overall somewhat ridiculous issue and not worth the hassle.

I was supposed to receive my delivery every other Friday. Out of all my orders, not a single one of them arrived on Friday. All arrived on Thursday. More often than not, when I ordered additional mushrooms (beyond the regular box) at least one of the three boxes ordered was missing. When I wrote about those two issues, I was given a $27.50 credit. My next order "used" that credit and contained an additional $20.42 in produce. The only way I knew the order had been cancelled (by Misfits) was because of the refund to my bank account of $20.42. After writing to find out why my ordered was cancelled (not by me) I received two different responses; the first response indicated a weather problem (my delivery on Friday (yesterday) should have been fine since the roads had been cleared for a few days at that point and, frankly, the snow turned to rain anyway) and the second response indicated it was a "production" issue. So, which was it? And, why wasn't I notified of the cancellation before it happened? Not worth the time, money, or frustration. There are other organic options out there; Farm Box Direct comes to mind.

Don't waste your money!!! I ordered the $35 box and what a joke. Not much in the box (2 apples, 3 oranges, 3 tiny potatoes, etc). I chalked it up to it being my first time and was willing to give it another shot...and then the majority of the produce was bad by Monday (the box arrived Friday afternoon). I contacted customer service and cancelled the service. I learned my lesson.
