The worst warranty company. The mechanic wouldn't contact the warranty company. Had 1 week to contact them. I had no idea they weren't contacted. When I found out, the 1 week window was over. Next time I found time to go to another mechanic was a few months later. The warranty company said they can't do anything about this claim now. As if the problem has gone away because missing the 1 week window fixed the problem somehow. Don't waste your money on these scammers. Edit after the replied elsewhere: I've only posted this to warn others about your scam. You need any excuse to not payout. Having a 1 week window is a scam. It does not make the problem go away. My mechanic did not contact you for authorisation, so somehow that was our fault, and you rejected the claim. Mechanics have told me you're impossible to work with. You need to be sued heavily.

Robber scammer fraud..! Dont get trap. I paid £2000 for gold warranty and now they are refusing to pay for it. The reason they are giving me is that i did not update them with information that i got appointment with garage after 7 days and their policy says it has to be done within 7 days. Basically i have got gold gte and there is a leak in water pump and the water pump is located right under the battery. So many garages has refused to fix it because they dint had trained staff and special equipment to fix it. Which took me a while to find right people and right place. But these fraud people (momentum warranties) are claiming it should have been dealt within 7 days. In fact i even rang them to inform them I can’t find any local garage who could fix this issue so i am going to main dealer and ready to pay whatever labour charge on top. But now they are refusing to pay any cost because it has been more than 7 days and volskwagen main dealer gave me appointment after 2 months as they had busy schedule. I am taking this issue forward and not letting them take my £2000 warranty money for free and they refuse to pay for faulty.

when my warranty was coming to an end from my purchase of the car the company had ITS employees pester us with calls & emails for months to renew. just had to make a claim as the clutch has packed in and no surprise NOT COVERED. GARAGE had to strip down and video parts for replacement. off the back I now have labour cost. ALL THEY DO IS TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED CASH!!!! STAY AWAY

Tried to make a claim on 2 separate occasions to no avail. They make it extremely difficult asking the garages for proof and pictures of part failing which eats into the labour costs. To be then told it’s wear and tear so then I have to foot the bill for the extra labour time. Don’t waste your money

Never pay out, misleading contract who scam people by taking their money. The whole point of paying for extended warranty when buying a car is for peace of mind if anything goes wrong or what would be the point of a warranty. Rude & bad customer service. They have also made up reviews to make themselves look good within last few weeks due to the amount of bad reviews they have. Legal action is now been taken

SCAMMERS!! Just been off the phone arguing with them. Bought car April by end of June my clutch is away. Paid £500 for this warranty. No garage would go near them, In my plan 2 it states I can use my own vat registered garage which I’m in the process of getting this repaired out my own pocket as I’ve been left with no car for a month now. They expect a 10hr job in a very busy garage to stand take video & pictures, for what, for them to still not cover as they just take peoples money, I’ve never heard of this in my life even though I sent them copy of repair & cost. Disgusting treating clients like this, I will be seeking a lawyer as their contract is very misleading. Do not reply momentum warranty as you are a bunch of con artists praying on people’s money. Should be ashamed of yourselves. Your reviews say it all

Not worth the paper it's written on, they won't cover anything and will simply claim wear and tear even though the part is well within its service life! Save your money and lots of heartache and go elsewhere!!

Warranty stated it covered electrical components - it didn't, refused to pay up and I had to pay for 1 little bit to be replaced (£78). Mechanic said the warranties were a waste of money as they never paid out. Absolute con.

The Great Wear and Tear Scam continues. No doubt a very lucrative business model. I wouldn't even bother accepting a "free" Momentum Warranty from a car dealership. Just get them to knock £20 off the screen price and place a completely random bet with unknown odds at your local bookies and you are probably more likely to get a payout. Momentum are NOT accredited with the Motor Ombudsman but their website does list those that are. Plenty of options out there. In my opinion, based on their decisions this week as regards my own vehicle, is that this company should be avoided at all costs. And please don't bother responding to this with the "you haven't given us enough details to investigate" whitewash. You had your chance. Made your decision and when challenged, opted to stand by it.

Useless policy you might as well just burn the cash. Promised by salesman that a gold warranty would protect me against any failed suspension parts for the 24 months complete BS as soon as you claim it's all wear and tear.

I am not recommend this warranty! I bought used premium car - Audi A5 and i have got 6 month platinum cover. When i want make a claim for some suspension, drive line components , the answer was only: It's wear and tear damage! Useless cover which is not for used cars, it's only make sense when you buy new one, but you have guarantee anyway. Don't waste money!

Avoid Avoid Avoid, not worth the paper it's written on this warranty company is a disgrace, 4 weeks now still don't have my car back, constantly phoning them, the garage it's booked in at are disgusted and basically saying it is not worth the hassle to deal with this company. They will dig their heels in before paying out. Very unhelpful and their overall communication with the garage is shocking. They don't take into consideration that people are left without a car for this long. DO NOT TAKE ANY WARRANTY FROM THIS COMPANY WHEN BUYING A CAR.

I can see I am not the only one which got fooled by this despicable bunch of useless liars. I have a fault on Inlet Manifold which is supposed to be covered under their "GOLDEN" warranty. They have told me that the fault is due to sticking flaps and this is not covered blamed it on soot and "wear & tear". I had my car serviced in Volvo TMS, they haven't looked at the part itself - so there was no such assesment from their side - what was noticed was a fault on the vehicle's computer. Apart from the code they have not provided any information about any soot or wear & tear problem to these scam artists called Momentum Warranties. From all of the other reviews I can see that Momentum makes this quick assumption of wear and tear on anything and everything. STAY AWAY! You will end up paying for the replacement parts anyway. Any 5* reviews are definitely bought or posted by Momentum themselves. Never again I will purchase any "extended warranty" from any of these companies (only consider genuine manufacturer's one).

Momentum is useless. Be prepared once your will have car issue to receive letter with rejection and reason will be “wear and tear”, no matter what will be wrong with ur car!!!!! Turbo in my car which I bought last year and unfortunately had “warranty” with Momentum (was serviced just in jaguar and all service is up to date!) needed new turbo. Garage is telling someting else and Momentum someting else. Them “wear and tear” scam is very famous! Now I know why. I believe that each part of the car is subject to 'wear and tear' and this would mean they have a 'get out clause' to revoke any claim of their choosing. The garage in which conducted the work were also shocked at their decision to not cover the claim. How it’s possible car which had MOT last month and was serviced in jaguar could be “my fault” !??!? They refused cover cost of repair which is almost £2000!!!!!!!!!! They’ve made them decision in 1min just after they saw pictures from my mechanic !!!! And they haven’t replay by email, they told them decision on the phone! Telling me later in them “letter” mechanic told them it’s oil leak and they won’t cover cost of repair as it’s “wear and tear” problem. I don’t need to say all this decision was made in 1min. I was calling them to ask for email they’ve got from my mechanic. First, they couldn’t find. Second, when they found (wooow!) they phone to my mechanic in just 1 min to tell them, they won’t cover because it’s “wear and tear” problem (them very famous phrase, u can google it!) Unbelievable! I got this “warranty” together with my car dealer, but if I have to choose I would never ever choose ur company for any warranty as it’s useless. I contacted you on 21st January and haven’t got any response. After many calls and waiting hours to someone pick up the phone I found out they refused cover cost of repair. I reported your company to Trading Standards and waiting for them response. Please, don’t replay with stupid: email us Bla Bla blaaaa as u never replay to email and you lying! I have all documentation and proofs.
