After Momentum warranties giving the go ahead to the garage to make the repairs on my car. They are now refusing to pay out. I had a genuine fault but they have said it’s down to wear and tear to get out of paying.

Absolute scammers !!! Avoid them ! My story is the exact same as the long list below. They just refuse to pay a genuine claim, which 2 mechanics have said is due to part failure and not “ware and tear” - like the excuse they used to get out of it. Now I’ve got a £1400 bill. I’m actually gutted that I didn’t look into this company first before buying the cover at the car sales garage. I just urge anyone that has been offered this warranty to run !!

Please listen everyone this warrenty is a big Rip off. Made a claim before my warrenty expired waiting for the car to be stripped down to show the problem as the garage is busy. Was told cause its taken more then 7 days there not paying. its not worth the paper it's wrote on. They will find anything to get out of paying. Think they can go around doing it to everyone getting out of it and ripping people off. There is hidden reviews about these on another review site don't just read these do your home work and take my word for it stay clear. There also leaving comments to get intouch making out they care. They don't there just ripping us all off

Absolutely shocking, I took the top package thinking I would be covered for most events, they is an excuse for 1 thing or another, that parts not covered or you have gone by the date of claim started, I could not get an earlier appointment so they classed that as going over the days Stay well clear or you will regret it.

Having purchased the gold warranty that is supposed to cover everything, it clearly does not.. I have a severe problem with my car which I have had to pay to get the problem diagnosed, as the garage that they recommend said they could not diagnose so it would have to go to a dealer. No way would they pay for anything at the main dealer so I have had to go to several specialists who have now diagnosed the problem. In the meantime someone bumped into the car and in a body shop getting repaired under their insurance. My claim got rejected without me knowing but noticed it had cleared from the app. After calling, it is my fault as it should have been done and completed with 30 days. Easier said than done when you have to book the car in, take time off work etc.. With lots of persuasion they said they will reopen for 7 days. The same day I sent the quote to them for the repair/ replace of the diagnosed faulty part, Along with a video of the suspected issue. Now the mechanic must send them video / photo evidence of the faulty part dissembled to prove the fault. This part according to the mechanic is a swap out part, and therefore would not waste his time "trying" to break the part down. In his expert opinion, the evidence would be once the part is replaced and the fault gone. That should be enough. I booked the car in to the garage, the earliest they can do it is the end of Nov. Informing Momentum of this still isn't good enough as this needs to all be done within the 7 days. ??? Oh and because the car is still "Drivable" at present they would probably not pay out??? To describe the fault if you were to put your foot down to accelerate is sound and feels like the bottom of the car is going to fall out.. To suit your ever changing goal post.. How am I going to get it diagnosed without moving it ?? Why is there no flexibility in certain cases. ?? Just because a vehicle can drive (limited) does not mean there is no major fault? Haw can you justify having a swap out item which is the problem (rear differential) then needing to be broken down, incurring more time and cost ? Why can't you just be happy that the customer just feels happy and safe in the vehicle they paid £15k for 5 months ago.. A service that we pay for is all what's wanted. Apologies the video file I have is to big to post on here which is a shame..

Done leas than 1000 miles im car and waring lights came on , went through app and took to garage 2 faults identifies(faulty components) refused claim saying it was intermittant fault which i proves it wasnt then came up with another excuse not to cover. Staff are helpful and sympathetic but obviously use every trick in the book not to cover your claim. If your garage has provided a warramy they will bombard you with calls to extend warranty, i wouldnt bother as it would be money down the drain, keep the money in your pocket and use for a breakdown cover with repairs. Poor service and avoid.

I have owned many cars and as such experienced many warranty companies. I have to say Momentun are the best I have ever had pleasure to work with. Today's colleague helping me Chris Henderson was excellent. Professional, organised and very helpful. 1st class service and 1st class staff.

Well, not only do they NOT honour an absolutely genuine claim, when anyone leaves a review they commence additional "Delay tactics" by replying with absolute B.S... They say " please forward your details including your product / policy reference and we'll look into the issue(s) for you......🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I followed their request by emailing the required details to their customer services department whereupon I received quite a prompt response saying my details have been passed on to the correct department and that "They" WILL respond within 5 business days... That email was dated the 20th of August 2024 and so, I'm still waiting somewhat LONGER than FIVE BUSINESS DAYS.

Complete joke of a firm, stay away they saidmy garage could do thw work on mycar, but when it came to paying out they refused saying to permission was given, yet when I rung they had to go and get a manager to say yes they could do the work, and when it came to paying they rejected my claim, I have no car and my daughter is suffering as I'm a single parent. Complete and utter jokes
