“Having purchased the gold warranty that is supposed to cover everything, it clearly does not.. I have a severe problem with my car which I have had to pay to get the problem diagnosed, as the garage that they recommend said they could not diagnose so it would have to go to a dealer. No way would they pay for anything at the main dealer so I have had to go to several specialists who have now diagnosed the problem. In the meantime someone bumped into the car and in a body shop getting repaired under their insurance.
My claim got rejected without me knowing but noticed it had cleared from the app. After calling, it is my fault as it should have been done and completed with 30 days. Easier said than done when you have to book the car in, take time off work etc..
With lots of persuasion they said they will reopen for 7 days.
The same day I sent the quote to them for the repair/ replace of the diagnosed faulty part, Along with a video of the suspected issue. Now the mechanic must send them video / photo evidence of the faulty part dissembled to prove the fault. This part according to the mechanic is a swap out part, and therefore would not waste his time "trying" to break the part down. In his expert opinion, the evidence would be once the part is replaced and the fault gone. That should be enough. I booked the car in to the garage, the earliest they can do it is the end of Nov. Informing Momentum of this still isn't good enough as this needs to all be done within the 7 days. ??? Oh and because the car is still "Drivable" at present they would probably not pay out??? To describe the fault if you were to put your foot down to accelerate is sound and feels like the bottom of the car is going to fall out..
To suit your ever changing goal post.. How am I going to get it diagnosed without moving it ??
Why is there no flexibility in certain cases. ??
Just because a vehicle can drive (limited) does not mean there is no major fault?
Haw can you justify having a swap out item which is the problem (rear differential) then needing to be broken down, incurring more time and cost ? Why can't you just be happy that the customer just feels happy and safe in the vehicle they paid £15k for 5 months ago..
A service that we pay for is all what's wanted.

“Done leas than 1000 miles im car and waring lights came on , went through app and took to garage 2 faults identifies(faulty components) refused claim saying it was intermittant fault which i proves it wasnt then came up with another excuse not to cover.
Staff are helpful and sympathetic but obviously use every trick in the book not to cover your claim.
If your garage has provided a warramy they will bombard you with calls to extend warranty, i wouldnt bother as it would be money down the drain, keep the money in your pocket and use for a breakdown cover with repairs.
Poor service and avoid.”

They say " please forward your details including your product / policy reference and we'll look into the issue(s) for you......🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.
I followed their request by emailing the required details to their customer services department whereupon I received quite a prompt response saying my details have been passed on to the correct department and that "They" WILL respond within 5 business days...
That email was dated the 20th of August 2024 and so, I'm still waiting somewhat LONGER than FIVE BUSINESS DAYS.”

“Avoid , completely a waste of time. You have to book the garage pay for the diagnostic then get the approval to have the repair done , again pay for the repair before submitting the invoice so you can get paid , oh and they don't pay the vat part of the invoice”
“Do not use this company, I had a garage and breakdown company confirm the water pump was leaking and needed replaced after it had to be towed away because the car could not be driven (no water) , but they would still not cover. They will take your money but do whatever they can not to pay out. Shocking service!

“What a waste of time and money. Firstly they couldn’t find a garage that could do the work. This was after weeks of going backwards and forward. Eventually found a garage myself that could do the work. To be told all the way along the part was covered by the warranty. To be told at the end it wasn’t covered as the engine failure was due to wear and tear. I would not recommend this company at all. This was the second claim we had tried to submit over the last two years.”
“Avoid this company at all cost. I have a parts and labour warranty with Momentum. Needed to replace a major part. Visited two separate mechanics to be told same. Part needed replacing. Both said if I continued driving the part would fail leaving me stranded and would probably cause damage to my car. Momentum rejected my claim because the part had not yet failed. Would only payout for a sudden failure. They also said if I continued to drive the car with that fault that would be regarded a known failure and again they would reject my claim. Wondering if this company is a scam?”

What a pile of excrement this "Cowboy" company is....Unfortunately, I had to award ONE star as there was no option for NONE.
Having agreed to make monthly installments to these fraudsters to cover the cost of unforeseen breakdown(s), I felt protected to some degree at least when the ELECTRIC HAND BRAKE MODULE, together with its associated "Covered" components suffered a catastrophic failure on my Range Rover Sport V6. Which I purchased in Dec 2023 from yet another "Cowboy" outfit....The original sale came with SIX MONTHS COVER , so extending this cover for an additional twelve months made perfect sense.
Here's the problem....Having suffered the failure of the vehicle, I quickly found that Franchised Landrover workshops were fully booked and thus I'd have to wait three weeks to have it accepted for repair....The vehicle was duly transported to the NEAREST franchised repair workshop which was ten miles from my home address.....I also phoned Momentum Warranty to inform them of the vehicles plight....I assumed a quote for repair from an authorised Landrover franchised repair station and report direct from themselves to Momentum would suffice.
Sadly, we all know the joke about the strongest adhesive in the world, ..A Jock holding a Fiver...Well, this transpires to themselves, Momentum in refusing to cover the costs, well part of it least ways, as the total cost was £1690.10 inclusive, however, the total cover payout would have ONLY been £1000.00 inclusive as per the policy.....However, as I had been without the vehicle for circa three weeks, AND the garage required payment, I paid with personal funds hoping to at least recoup a £1000.00 off-set against costs from Momentum Warranty...
MY ADVICE IS PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE....AVOID THESE COWBOYS LIKE THE PLAGUE...UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH THEM....YOU STAND TO NOT RECOUP AT LEAST SOME OF THE REPAIR COSTS, IF OVER AND ABOVE THE POLICY MAXIMUM...

“First will not cover cost of diagnostic which the garage needs to to do to find the fault, when the fault was found catalytic converter needed replacing cost £1800 it was deemed wear and tear, I had the vehicle just over a month, very difficult to deal with, seems it's a call centre each time you spoke to a different person after upto a 40 minutes wait on the phone. I had extended my warranty for a further year on purchase of the vehicle which I intend to cancel and get my money back, avoid this company like the plague!”
“Where to start… gave this company 5 stars when reviewing the set up experience and initial contact.
Place a claim in June tyre presure sensers not working several phone calls and visit to garages and them sending the information to the claim department only to be informed every time that they had not received any information! The garage national tyres said they sent the required info across 3 times phoned momentum no information received ?? Email sent by myself no response after 8 weeks of going back and too I now get a message rejecting my claim my warranty runs out weeks from my experience the warranty is not worth the paper it is printed on would never recommend and if purchasing a car again would insist on a different company warranty supplier.After a great review at the setup stage very very after that.”
“Total waste of money after 3 months of going to 2 different garages ( that they recommended ) the first garage didn’t have a code reader !! The second garage kept me waiting for weeks and weeks so i finally took matters into my own hands and phoned momentum again and they said the parts aren’t covered ( central locking ) ( glow plug ) ( window regulator ) so after 3 months of chasing around taking my car from garage to garage wasting my time and effort to there recommended garages totally wasted my time 😡 the warranty is not worth the paper it’s printed on the only people that give them good reviews are the car dealers who are probably getting a kick back Avoid and don’t waste your money”
