“If I could give zero stars, I would! My pension was invested with Momentum by Abbey Wealth who claim to be regulated and registered in Switzerland as well as Spain and Ireland. They are shysters and should be avoided at all costs! Momentum obviously have some sort of deal going with Abbey Wealth Management, because they took my money - made themselves trustees, and reinvested it with Old Mutual, who refused to take instructions from me, because "I was not a trustee". They paid Abbey a fortune in commission and regular fees, took another small fortune for themselves which left me with less money than I started with 3 years previously. When I realised there was something smelling highly of scam or fraud, I contacted a different financial adviser who helped me to get most of my money back under my control - but that took something over 6 months and a lot of hard work, legal consultations and basic arguing with both Abbey and Momentum, not to mention fun and games with Old Mutual. Take my advice, don't deal with any of these companies. They will rob you blind!”
“The vast majority of reviews for Momentum, here, relate not to Momentum themselves, of whom I feel provide an exemplary service to their clients, but to the poor quality, commission laden 'advice' provided by unscrupulous financial 'advisers'. Do your research and choose to work with a properly regulated, fee based (no commissions) Chartered Financial Planner and you shouldn't experience any of the painful issues that the majority of these reviewers detail.”

“Reading all of these negative comments below have one other common feature - CWM or Continental Wealth Management. It seems like CWM was the Financial Adviser which all of you hired - no one else. It must have been awful being forced to hire CWM as your adviser. You were all conned by CWM not Momentum, and now you are all going around as an angry mob and discrediting a company which did not force you to hire CWM as your adviser.
For the record, I have been with Momentum since they started, and I did my own homework when I hired my Financial Adviser, and I am more than happy with the service and growth I have seen on my pension.”
“Momentum pensions sat back and did nothing, apart from take their charges, as my pension fund plummeted to 50% of its original value. This was not caused by market fluctuations but by inappropriate structured products being purchased by the IFA. These purchases were contrary to my risk profile but Momentum allowed them to pass through their system.”

This company have destroyed over a third of my pension fund - through exorbitantly high fees, investing in schemes which are not suitable for a pension and the really worst thing of all is that they couldn't give a sh*t that they have ruined mine, & many others like me lives.

“The reader might well ask why so many reviews have anonymous names. It is because of the fear of reprisal from Momentum. They will find any excuse to ignore their failings as trustees. All the comments are 100% accurate .. I have lost nearly €200k on my pension portfolio due to complete disregard and lack of diligence on Momentum's part and the remaining €50k left is locked in a 'forged' bond that I knew nothing about with huge penalties for 'early' release, the penalty being based on my initial investment!”
“Momentum Trustee.... .. They need to look up the definition of the word 'trustee', as they have failed on every level. Accepting forged dealing instructions from an unlicienced, scamming company CWM, millions of pounds of hard earned pensions have been lost in toxic high risk notes and once they were made aware of these catastrophic failings, they have failed in their duty again by doing nothing. At present there are between 50 and 60 complaints going through the Arbiter's office. May justice prevail.”
“They took over as Trustee of my pension, and allowed scammers to send in forged dealing instructions to purchase high risk investments. They knew about this but continued to let them carry on doing the same -whilst hundreds of others lost millions of pounds of pension savings. They have done no due diligence on the people they accepted business from, and have not taken care of the funds that were transferred to them.”

“As trustees of my pension they allowed CWM to buy high risk professional investor Structured Notes, against my instructions for 100% low risk investments. My fund is now down by 90k. Many of the dealing notes were unsigned or fraudulently photo copied signatures. Some notes were allowed to continue to purchase without being checked.”
“The word trustee implies they can be trusted to act in the best interests of their clients. However hundreds of people have lost millions of pounds through momentums neglect. Shameful disregard since as peoples lives have been ruined. Have paid compensation to at least one person in the same position but refuse to acknowledge the rest.”
“As a result of being "looked after" by Momentum pensions, our funds arent worth the paper they are written on! Their lack of care about this whole pension scam is incredible. Our futures are ruined as pensioners. To think they worked with an unlicensed group of scammers, Continental Wealth Management, is unbelievable, and even worse they signed off the dealing instructions which were forged ... Very upsetting! I hope they will see sense and compensate all the victims which are in the hundreds!”
