“Subject: Complaint Regarding Incorrect Pricing and Poor Service at Mr Price Home, Langeberg Mall
Dear Mr Price Home Management,
I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received at your Langeberg Mall branch. This is the second time I’ve encountered issues with incorrect pricing in your store.
On my recent visit, my husband and I found a set of glasses we liked. The price on the glasses was clearly marked as R15.99, but the same glass next to them had a sticker with a price of R19.99. To clarify, I asked an employee about the price discrepancy, and she confirmed that I should be charged R15.99.
However, when we reached the checkout, the glasses were scanned at R19.99. I explained to the cashier that this was incorrect, and that the original price was R15.99, which had been covered by the R19.99 sticker. Despite this, I was told that the higher price would be applied because the sticker “closed” the original price, forcing me to pay R19.99 due to what seems to be a labeling error on your part.
I fail to see how your store's negligence in labeling and managing stock should become the customer's responsibility. What’s more, the manager, Charmaine, who was called to assist, was dismissive and had a very poor attitude. Rather than resolving the issue in a customer-friendly manner, she authorized the higher price, which left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer.
I am deeply disappointed by this experience and the lack of accountability shown by your team. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and address the pricing and customer service issues at this branch to prevent this from happening again in the future.

“I bought a cooler bag at MrP Home Benmore, I retured it 20 minutes later because the lady I bought it for did not like it as the material was very thin and flimsy. Upon requesting a refund I was told they could not help me as I paid with my virtual credit card all they could do is allow me to swap it for something else in the store. Surely this cannot be true.
I did not want anything else in their store as I had no time to look and their store is quite small. The managers attitute and client service was despicable, honestly just horrible !!
I went to another store and had a very different , they were friendly and accomodating and assisted me as it was a same day purchase.”

“I ordered 2 couches 2 weeks ago and city logistics have been playing run around with my delivery. They send these WhatsApp texts and email to confirm delivery normally for the next day which I do confirm but they never pitch. This happened for over a week. Can you imagine how many times I had to skip work to accommodate the “supposed” scheduled delivery. Mr Price home WhatsApp customer is the worst. They couldn’t help track my order or even reach out to city logistics. They gave me a number which isn’t working when I told them, they said there’s nothing they can do. Imagine the nerve! “I bought from Mr Price home online and the delivery was supposed to be in the 27th March by 17:00 but to dat the 29th March there is no delivery. I made contact with the call center and sent WhatsApp messages but the service was terrible to say the very least - the customer care agent care very less, complaint resolution is definitely not the goal with them instead they cause more frustration.”

He called me and my sisters high and drunk for trying to figure out how we were going to go about paying for our items. “I am not one to write reviews but with the second experience thought I should. Any mrp home runners that have prints are the worst because they colour bleed so badly no matter how careful you try to clean them. With my first one, took it back to Mrp fourways but I was basically told it’s my fault . Got second runner the same thing has happened. Completely the white parts changed because of the bleeding/running of the other colour on it. The most annoying thing is we are paying so much for rugs/ runners that are not goood at all. I would not recommend buying runners that have prints from Mr Price . The never accept responsibility .”

How is it possible that I"ve been unsuccessful at Lynnridge Mall (rings and rings), The Grove (rings and rings), Atterbury (call is ended immediately) - Mr Price Home stores. On the 21st of November 2022 I placed an order online because there was a nice special on and it would be the First Time using my Milady's Account online, and I thought it would be so lovely and convenient.
Boy, was I wrong.
Once I was done shopping and proceeded to check out my items and used the Promo Code - I noticed that there was no order number given to me and the funds were taken from my Milday's account. I immediately panicked and phoned the Call Centre. Appalling line quality by the way, you can barely hear them speak.
First I was notified that "This is normal mam, our orders always take 24hrs to reflect!" , and I thought that was a bit odd, so I decided to phone again and try taking to a different agent.
They told me "The Fraud department first has to approve this order." (Why on earth would that be necessary? I've authenticated myself through emails and OTP's on which my account is registered)
And I decided to try a Third time, because I thought I'd be lucky to speak to someone who can actually assist me and not just quickly say anything to get me off the phone. The third person said, without me asking, "The amount will be refunded to my Milday's account within 24 hours".
At this point I have given up and just accepted the fact that no one was going to help me and I waited 24 hrs to see what was going to happen.
At this point all the Items that I ordered was sold out. Isn't that nice.
The next day, thank god, the money was back in my account. So I decided to try one last time.
I started from scratch picking new items, EVERYTHING that I ordered especially for my daughter and my grandkids was sold out. I was so disappointed. I continued to shop and could only manage to get very plain items.
Went to check out my items, used the new promo code and I actually received an order number this time! So I thought thank goodness!
Later the evening I received multiple emails, Your order is being Packed! Your Order is on its way! Great! I finally managed to do it! Nope! Still not.
This morning I receive an email, Your Order has been CANCELLED! AND to put a cherry on top of this I try to log in online to see what is going on, I am blocked from using my online account!
And here we go again with the call Centre and the WhatsApp "help" line...
I phone the call center and this lady is actually friendly, I tell her what is going on and give her my order number, she places me on hold to check. And the story this time is: " SORRY MAM, YOUR ORDER WAS CANCELLED BECAUSE THERE WAS AN ERROR WITH THE PROMO CODE ON OUR SIDE"
You have got to be kidding me! So once again because of an error on your side I am one step forward and 9 steps back.
I decide for interest sake, let me try the WhatsApp line again. And the agent tells me :This order is cancelled as per your request." I am fuming.
My Milady's account is now OVER the credit limit - how? I HAVE NO IDEA! Does the accounts team not know what they are doing? And the agent's response to this is "The order has been cancelled and the refund takes 24-48 hours to reflect in your account."- Thank you Nivashni, for trying to make it look like this is my fault"
And trying to phone someone to get this fixed is near impossible. I am fed up, and disgusted at this "Customer Service"
It's a shame that Milady's is a part of the Mr Price Group. I have never had issues like this before.
And trying to get an email address of someone higher up in management, you have a better chance jumping off a mountain and living.
All I want is my account back to normal.”
