“When we were first visited by the Mulu representative he told us that the charge for Mulu services would be £1,000.00 fixed price. Taking him at his word l signed the paper he placed in front of me, we now have an invoice for 1% of the sale price. My fault yes, how silly of me to take him at his word and believe him. Incidentally we have now sold without their help, we have not heard from them in over two months despite their assurances that they would keep in constant contact”

First of all, we would like to congratulate you on the sale of your home, Mr. Meadows and we do apologise for whatever inconvenience we have caused. However, we would like to point out that we did in fact, keep contact with you regularly to keep you updated (32 calls to landline and 12 calls to mobile from our call records). We understand that the buyer viewed with ourselves last September and just recently was in the position to make the purchase and that the sale is nearing its completion with the contracts being exchanged and we do hope that all goes well. Also after looking through your contract with us, I can see that you had been provided with a copy of your contract and both contracts, for your assurance, had been noted with a fee of 1% + VAT and you agreed to sign this contract which would mean that you fully understand everything that was stated on the agreement. “Right from the start we weren't happy with the service we received. We were strung along for months with an offer we had put in on a house which they knew wouldn't be accepted but told us we had a good chance. We put our house up for sale with them but had to submit our own photos and edit the description as it was very poor. We were told their 'fixed' price to sell our house, which included vat, but then tried to charge us vat on top of that again when we sold the house! So overall, Mulu you're going to have a lot of unhappy customers if we're anything to go by!!”
