“I found my car check to be easy to follow and use. Also gives a complete story And full service history. Things car salesmen did not provide.”

“Paid good money for a thorough check, the report shows that that cars miles doubled in the last year... when I checked the MOT record it shows a normal annual mileage! I emailed to aske them to double check and was given an exuse about errors in their system... I don’t want my HPI checker making any mistakes at all.... I nearly didn’t buy the car because of this. Disappointing and not worth the money if it doesn’t work correctly.”

Hi, many thanks for your feedback. We will, of course, be investigating your experience thoroughly to ensure that the data we show our users is correct and up to date. As you can appreciate, some vehicles have circumstances (such as plate transfers, etc) that complicate the data trail and can sometime throw up strange anomalies. Many thanks.

“Paid for the full check but it would not display and kept asking if I wanted to buy it again. Had to ring them where they could see I had paid and could read the report. In fairness the chap I spoke to was very good and emailed me a pdf of the report. Not very good when you are stood looking at the vehicle waiting to see results though.”

“I was purchasing a second hand car from a dealer. The My Car Check showed that there was an outstanding loan against it. I called My Car Check and they explained it was a 'dealer stocking loan' and was completely normal. So very helpful.”

“I did the basic check on my car which included - theft, write-off and scrapping information. It cost me £1.99 using my laptop, for a little more, you can get a text message directly to your phone. Customer service was very helpful when I had a query.”

“My son was on his way to buy a car from a private seller and I told him to check it’s details.i did a check for him and told him to turn around as soon as he could.your database confirmed my suspicion that it was a pile of junk.never seen a car with so many failures,thanks for saving his pennies.”

Hi, can you clarify where it says you get 5 checks for £1.99 so we can ensue our messages are accurate? To confirm, you can get 5 Comprehensive checks for £19.99, or one Basic check for £1.99. Thanks.

“Get what you pay for... stick to trusted suppliers. Checked my bike, came back showing mileage history from 2007 and should be on 95K miles at this point. You can imagine my surprise given the bike's a 2016 plate. Turns out they are showing the mileage of one of my cars - which now has my private plate on (despite the bike check showing the plate being removed some time ago). Essentially its just a jumble of information that you cant trust.”
