“Great meals and great ingredients compared to other meal services! The food is tasty and there’s plenty of options! I have to give it 4 stars for a few reasons:
1. The packaging on the meals (the plastic) sometimes causes holes to be punctured through them during delivery. Having an outside shell would help with this.
2. Some of the meals don’t include veggies. Not a huge deal but something to consider going forward.
3. I feel like not all the ingredients are listed on the ingredients page. There could be more detail when it comes to that.
4. The price for shipping is high and sometimes makes it expensive but you get what you pay for.
Otherwise, the meals are tasty (especially the burgers) and the overall service is great! The one time my package wasn’t delivered I contacted customer support and they were prompt to give me a certificate for the amount that was charged to my card. Great experience!”
“I am very happy to find gluten free meals. I am sure as you go along there will be more variety - little less chicken and turkey. I do enjoy the cherry choclate muffins and the cheesecakes. Would be nice to know the shelf life in the refrigerator for the muffins. Great job though.”

“Love my Metabolic Meals! Overall, has been a great weekly solution for work lunch meals throughout the week primarily. I've been impressed with the quality of the food - almost has a boutique feel to it - in a good way! Even though it is a Gluten Free Menu (which I don't need per se) - it has suprised me with the quality of some non-gluten items I typically would never touch.
I do wish in general the meals were all about 100 calories more each - and at times it does seem like the repeating of items is actually quite frequent - so would like to see even more variety per week, even if that means reducing the overall volume of options on the weekly menu.
Overall, I've been very pleased and have been sharing it with friends!”
“We were looking for a meal service that didn't have a ton of sodium, very difficult! My husband is on a low sodium diet for health reasons. These meals are delicious and more than half the sodium of others. Highly recommend! Thank you for these delicious low sodium options!”
“I absolutely love Metabolic Meals. They're fresh, they taste good, they have clean ingredients - low/no gums, no excessive seed oils or sugars, no fillers or extras - and are very friendly to my chronically ill body. I've tried lots of meal plans and very few have the combination of fresh food, taste, convenience, AND my body liking it that these do. They arrive on time and well-packaged, customer service is responsive, and menus have decent variety. Only thing that keeps it from five stars is sometimes I crave a little more flavor or more variety (especially in the sides), and I have higher hopes for those sour cream potatoes.”
“Ordering is very simple, and it is easy to skip a week. All of the meals I've had have been good, but I wish you offered more vegetables as sides. The packaging is horrible. The boxes are so big and heavy because of the ice packs that I end up throwing out. Please consider switching to styrofoam containers and dry ice.”
“As college students working full-time these kits are a lifesaver. We simply don't have time to cook but still want to ensure that we are eating enough and eating healthy. This has also been a great intro to different meals that we haven't tried before!
Only thing that could be improved is the description of the meals for people who want to know the ingredients; I don't like all foods and it could help to know a bit more about what I am getting. Additionally, the level of sustainability is not ideal, though it is due to practical reasons like needing the food to be sealed so it makes sense. I do wish that the ice packs were just water and not the gel so that they were easier to dispose of.
Overall I have been very satisfied and will continue to order from here!”
“My husband & i both have food allergies so it was hard to find a food service that fit both our needs. Very happy to have found Metabolic Meals. I have a gluten intolerance & can't eat onions. My husband has a rice allergy as well as a zucchini/squash sensitivity. I'd give you 5 stars if you had more selections that we could both eat especially having trouble with onions (I'm always bummed out when I see a new recipe & then find out it has onions in it). The food is really VERY GOOD as well as being healthy for us. Everything tastes so good!!! Also would love to see some seafood entrees as well as salads but I suppose it would be difficult to package. Thanks for asking my opinion & for having such a quality product at an affordable price.

“Flavor and variety are excellent. I wish I could order just 5 meals a week and I also wish there were "incentives" (or a point system) that allowed one to earn discounts on the meals or the shipping charge.”
“Overall, I do enjoy these meals. I wish sodium was a bit lower in some recipes. I am happy they change meal selection each week but then it comes to point where you eventually come back around and some of those weeks I like more than others and other times it's the opposite. I wish there were more vegetables in some of these dishes that are not broccoli. As I cannot eat broccoli. I also would like more white meat chicken recipes because I do not eat chicken thighs, so this limits my choices. In my case, I go towards beef and some chicken dishes as I don't eat pork. But I am sure those are great for others that may enjoy that. I have lost 15 lbs since eating these meals so they are helpful for me.”
