Think really heard before hiring anyone from mybuilder. Please do not trust their feedback system for trademen. I hired a tradesperson based on their feedback and that tradesperson has done a runner after I paid him. Now @mybuilder are refusing to take steps. They don't want to know. They do not care. They do not want to penalise the tradesperson either or suspend the account. Presumably because they are paid by the tradesperson and not by end users like myself. If anyone else want to take Mybuilder to court please reach out to me as I am looking to instigate a class action against them. @Dailymailuk @Bbcwatchdog @Which

Absolute rubbish company. Paid a hefty sum for bathroom installations, tiles shipped from Spain and Italy. The builders I got from their site, did a absolutely appalling job. There has been leaks for the last 1.5 years. The sad path is I no longer have a job, so I cant afford to repair it. The bathroom stinks without being used and honestly, I am very depressed by this. Trader is now conveniently in Poland. Think again if you want to use their platform. Their complaints process is a sham and you will never get due redress. Since you have asked for more information and to prevent you from providing a generic response that would attempt to make my complaint look trivial, here is what your complaint handler provided to me as a response. Hi Alice, Thank you for your time earlier today and, once again, sorry to hear of the issues you have had with Mariusz. Following our conversation, I have tried to call Mariusz but there was no answer. I have sent him an email asking him to make contact with me. I will update you if I hear anything from Mariusz. If I do not hear from Mariusz, I will follow him up one last time in the next couple of days. In the meantime, please can you send me details of any messages you have from Mariusz of him explaining he is bankrupt and now living in Poland, along with any pictures of the work he has done? As discussed, please click this link for more advice on the Small Claims Court. If you do take any legal advice, I would advise that you make them aware that you believe Mariusz to be bankrupt. They have just shown through their response that if you decide to use their services, without mybuilder plus and the tradesman decides to go bankrupt or move somewhere else, you are liable for the damage. However, we now offer an insurance policy - MyBuilder Plus - to cover people for the occasions where work is unsatisfactory or tradespeople run into financial problems. After ten years of successfully using MyBuilder to source work and over two hundred positive customer comments for completed work, the tradesman received several negative customer comments in succession and we took action to permanently close his account. Hopeless posted two jobs only got one reply to each posted job the first one an electrical supply to my shed price was priced so high guess he didn't really want the job the second one a plumbing job tradesman never even turned up to his made appointment to view and quote total waiste of my time

To find a person to do the job for me was easy, job was done poorly, but the person promised me it will get sorted out, 3 years later I am still chasing and no luck. Asked MyBuilder to support and allow me to edit positive feedback I have originally left, but apparently I am not able to because of some policy they have. Wish they had better customer service.

Stay away from !!First class floor sanding! Had my floor sanded sawdust finished then I Matt finish We had problem areas where tiles had to be relayed through doorways they said it will be fine and they will relay them and fix them two days after they finished the door errors have been cracking and wobbling not What we wanted very bad Crossman ship

My builder good initially but with price raise and service now? Be careful.they will fall as soon as someone else will come with honest offers for the traders.

My builder do not care at all about the traders on there, i had a scenario where i got shortlisted, I immediately recognised the details of a customer I was already in a quoting process with. I contact my builder to ask them to cancel it off within around 3 min of being shortlisted. It was tough luck, pay for it anyway. Clearly they put more stock in just taking money than providing a fair service. Knowing full well that that lead has not helped me in anyway, they are still happy to take my money, says a lot about the companies ethics and the people who run it.

Posted 2 jobs. The first job involved concreting 2 fence panels into patio. One didn't get back to me and the other had a look saying he would be there 9am - didn't show. The 2nd job One didn't get back to me, the other pretended he was on his way. Didn't show. Absolutely no communication to let me know what was happening . I stayed in every day, waiting. Will definitely NOT use again!

Used My Builder as a trader on and off for a number of years. Found to be more of a con than anything else with numerous "Leads" turning out to be dead ends with phone numbers not working or never able to contact the "customer" and still being charged for the lead. Sceptical as to if a number of these are actually real people or just put on the site to generate income for My Builder.

EXPENSIVE FOR TRADESMEN. SPENT £160 + £200 A WEEK ON LEADS AND HARDLY ANY RESPONSES.. SOME RESPONSES HAD CANCELLED THE WORK OR SOME EVEN DIDNT EVEN WANT ANY WORK DONE. THEY DIDNT EVEN HAVE THE SAME NAME!! HAVE ASKED FOR REFUNDS ON CERTAIN JOBS WHICH DIDNT REPLY OR WERE THE WRONG NUMBER/DETAILS. NO SORRY NO REFUNDS AS IT DOESN'T MEET THE 'CRITERIA'. POOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. AVOID AVOID AVOID

The most disgusting team i have ever… The most disgusting team i have ever seen, shame on this whole company. They dont give support for tradesmen at all, just ripping them off, they collect all the personal details but THEY DON'T EVEN OWN AN AVAILABLE LANDLINE!!!!!!Disgusting, if a customer tells any LIE about the job,they don't care if its true or not they remove you immediately, RUBBISH,AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!! DONT REPLY, JUST TO SAY OHH IM SO SORRY BLAHBLAH, FIRST BE HUMAN!!!!!

Selling very poor leads, job posts and customers posting them are not being checked by mybuilder.com leading to dead leads and wasting a lot of money for the tradesperson. Google ads is more effective. Poor customer service, trained like robots with typical generic answers for everything. Started a great site but always suspicious of the dead leads, happens too often. Avoid.

Awful experience had builder to do work he left it unfinished he has our money. My builder.com take no responsibility and direct us to small claims court. Avoid at all costs

Totally a waste of my time and the money I've spent out chose a builder everything ok then my builder gets intouch and tells me their are issue with the builder wont tell me or give the building company an explanation or respond to the builders emails which I've seen told me to cancel my contract which I had 2 sign on line on the my builder website no real help off my builder at all their is no safety net for customers the phone number I have for my builder you cant ring so how can I get intouch with the person who rang me who couldn't really help me as she couldn't tell me anything of any use I would ot recommend this site 2 any 1 oh by the way I contacted you by email and you rang me

MyBuilder Does Not Vet Tradesmen I am £1200 of poctket they do not help you many of them are Rogue Traders. Platinum Plastering and Now Platinum Construction Of Reading Uk Watch out for them. Richard Best and Noel And Ben Gibson Are Dangerous not qualified Mybuilder Cost me

Useless. Have been waiting since mid February for debris to be removed. No response from so called builder nor receipt for cash paid or guarantee for work ( very poor standard) as promised. Have informed trading standards as would hate for anyone else to ripped off by cowboys. AVOID My builder

The Tradesmen on there aren’t vetted and neither are the leads! Many of the tradesmen on there are desperate to try anything they can get! for example (supposedly) qualified tilers and plumbers putting their name forward to go and fit a cat flap or build some flat packed furniture????? and the customers are often not even genuine, you pay for a lead and it turns out to be a complete waste of time and money as they were only thinking about it, or they just wanted to get an idea of cost etc etc? They should charge customers to put their jobs on the site, that way, all the painful time and money wasters will be eradicated.

Takes your money for leads then felted your account for no reason. Tried contacting customer service and the CEO with no response, avoid!!!
