“Useless. Have been waiting since mid February for debris to be removed. No response from so called builder nor receipt for cash paid or guarantee for work ( very poor standard) as promised. Have informed trading standards as would hate for anyone else to ripped off by cowboys. AVOID My builder”
“The Tradesmen on there aren’t vetted and neither are the leads! Many of the tradesmen on there are desperate to try anything they can get!
for example (supposedly) qualified tilers and plumbers putting their name forward to go and fit a cat flap or build some flat packed furniture?????
and the customers are often not even genuine, you pay for a lead and it turns out to be a complete waste of time and money as they were only thinking about it, or they just wanted to get an idea of cost etc etc?
They should charge customers to put their jobs on the site, that way, all the painful time and money wasters will be eradicated.”

“Mybuilder take your money, offer multiple leads. 1 job out of 4 leads had to pay for all and the customer lied about pre existing damage to a windowsill that clearly had damage painted over and requested a refund for a whole plastering job!!!!! “I am a multiskilled tradesman. From 4 leads I've had one job. Ive been charged for the 4 leads mind.
The site is geared up for the customer even though tradesman are the ones paying. If something goes wrong even if theres an easy solution, your feedback is held to ransom and bad feedback left which will not be removed. There is nothing in place to advise tradesmen of the type if people they could potentially be dealing with.”
“If you are a treadesman/woman, you have to apply for "leads". If you get shortlisted by the customer, you will be charged regardless weather you get the job or not. Even if the "lead" does not answer the phone, emails or texts, you still get charged! The customer can shortlist upto 5 tradesmen per job & MyBuilder encourage them so shortlist lots of tradesmen. One lead cost me £28+VAT. MyBuilder will charge this amount for upto 5 tradesmen. So they make £168 & either 1 person (or sometimes none) will get the job.This is why they multi-millionares, at the expense of people just trying to make a living.
I started adding a note in my messages saying "please only shortlist me if you are serious as I will be charged a fee as soon as you shortlist me". MyBuilder told me I can not do this & have now closed my account. I want to take legal action against then. Can anyone help?”
“what a rubbish rip off so many bored people just want to find out how much is this and that very afew genuine people looking to hire.trades man stay away as they will short list you for a job you have xpresdd interest a year ago where you have work lined up and you cant even make contact with job poster .so no need to waste your time and money”

No support, you have to book in a time slot to actually talk to someone, they never call back, they dont listen and just take your money. 9 times out of 10 you can't contact the lead, (ARE THEY ACTUAL LEADS I ASK?) Then you charged for being shortlisted.”
“As a tradesman i am not happy with my builder. They are not contactable only if its to benefit them. They give false information and advice to clients which affects tradesmen and customers homes.”
“From a tradesman point of view it’s a site which encourages the cheap and nasty . They allow up to 5 tradesmen to be shortlisted for one job and each are charged wheather you win the job or not. Customers want jobs doing for peanuts not realising that tradesmen are charged . I also think that the customer should be charged a small fee to use the site as this would filter out the time waisters.”
“Used a builder from My Builder. Ended up with an extension which has just failed the Building Inspection and is now going to cost a fortune getting it put right. Builder replied to a neutral comment with a load of lies and excuses. Wish I had never looked at the site”
“Hayden Baillie plumber paignton fitted new shower and stole shower head. Stole towels and soiled them when fitting new toilet. Fitted new sink with utility shelves he put holes through it . He is an unqualified plumber and Gas safe registered Engineer. He does not work to a high standard. He is a Liar and a thief. He does not guarantee his work.”
“Untrustworthy company selling fake leads to Trades and then trying to hound them for payment. Won’t ever work for these again there nothing more than parasites sat behind a desk creaming money if the backs of hard working trades people.
Customers need to know they sell the lead to loads of trades making large amounts of money for doing nothing. No customer services Avoid”
