Royal Mail - always deliver. DPD - excellent service every time. UPS - prompt and courteous. Collect+ - on time and cheap. TNT - fast and professional. Hermes - failed THREE TIMES on THREE DIFFERENT DAYS to even find my house (normal house, normal address, no one else has problems) so they returned an important parcel back to the seller, without any other options given to me. Says it all really.

Parcel delivered to wrong address. I have spent hours trying to find a way to contact Hermes and talk to someone, they make it impossible to do this, you keep getting sent in circles, round and round. My order was delivered to the wrong address, I have tried to contact the courier but it seems impossible to actually talk to any body. They have a photo of supposed proof of delivery, but the photo is not my door, and I don't recognize where it is. I would like my parcel please. Hermes need to be honest and allow people to contact them when a parcel is delivered to a wrong address. I have contacted the company I ordered from and sent photos of my door and the photo from Hermes showing a different door, and a link to this page of reviews advising the company to change couriers as Hermes are a total disgrace. And yes I have had a similar problem with them before, too.

my parcel was stuck to return to sender a day after I dropped it off. after 3 days I found that it was the case so I emailed them. got a response which sounded more of like a template one. called ‭0330 808 5456‬ and was answered by a very bored irritated rude voice that doesn’t have any customer service skills. telling me to fill up a form as the package was lost and that I need to wait 28 days for my refund. wow! just wow! no apologies whatsoever. thank you hermes for ruining my day. train your people better in handling calls as they have 0 skills. The drivers you hire doesn’t know how report incident? nobody informed me of what happened to my parcel. should have better way of communicating to your customers. worst is the people you hire doesn’t have empathy. it felt like, yeah it is just a normal lost parcel.

Probably the worst delivery company in the UK, absolute joke of a company who damages my China figure and then has the audacity to tell me after paying £15 insurance thats its not covered avoid using these crooks

SHOCKING - DONT DO IT!! SHOCKING - DO NOT USE HERMES IF YOU ARE A BUSINESS! Out of the last 13 parcels we have sent with Hermes 2 have been "lost".. or stolen. Both times we paid for a next day service, but on the day of delivery the tracking info updates to say there has been a delay. A week later customer services say a sweep of the depot has been performed and the parcel cannot be found. These are not small parcels we send - large at 80x40x30cm..they can't just go "missing".. perhaps Hermes are still sending parcels straight to the auction!? Now, compare this poor service against other providers we use - UPS (our usual choice) - 191 parcels sent with 0 lost, or Royal Mail which we send low value items with - 811 parcels delivered with just 1 lost. If you're a business or a sender, do not use Hermes. You will lose out!

Got a message saying package delivered with a photo of the package on "my" porch. Except no package had turned up at my house, I didn't even recognise the house in the photo as one that could even be in my surrounding area. I dont know if I should blame some incompetent driver or the company that reportedly overwork and underpays their drivers. Wouldn't be surprised if the poor lad read the address wrong from fatigue.

Terrible unreliable courier services. Requested for collection and they missed 3 days in a row to collect. Cannot speak to customer services to resolve any issues. Stay away from this company.

Bought an item from ebay, had no idea the courier would be Hermes otherwise I would have never placed the order. The ebay app told me it had been delivered and yet it's not here. I checked Hermes' tracking website and it didn't recognise my post code. God I hate hermes. I wish DPD would be the only courier as they know how to do it right.

I ordered something from Amazon, without realising that it was a third party seller that uses Hermes. If I had have known they use Hermes, I wouldn’t have placed the order. As expected, we’ve had an online note saying that they “attempted delivery at 1.24pm but unfortunately they ran into an issue”. What on earth does that even mean. The end result is that once again, we don’t have a parcel delivered.

Absolutely terrible service. A parcel was dropped off at the pick up point. The money was taken from my account. When I went with my id to pick up the parcel, the machine in the shop would not recognise it so I could not pick it up. I had paid for it already! There is nobody to speak to at hermes so I had to wait two days to receive a message to find out that they had marked the parcel as lost. It was there in the shop! Basically computer says no. And instead of paying someone to take a call to resolve this, they just make it really hard to contact them about even getting a refund. Useless company! I used them through vinted. I will never use either company again.

Hermes refused to pay compensation for a damaged package. I sent 5 old 78rpm records to an EBay buyer, well packed up in a padded envelope. They arrived completely smashed. Hermes response was this was a non compensateable item. The package must have been thrown around or dropped heavily to have smashed them. This is a cop-out from Hermes who refuse to accept the negligence of their couriers. Only interested in profit not customer satisfaction.

Like others they get one star purely to get on this site. If your property is anything other than absolute bog standard find yourself another courier. Hermes drivers are all self employed and are allowed to pick and choose who they deliver to. Hermes have to reverse 100yds from my property to get back to the road, and it would seem that Hermes drivers are not sufficientely competent enough to carry out this basic driving manouvre. Drivers of every other courier and supermarket have no problem whatsoever, only the substandard Hermes drivers. I have parcels at their depot undelivered, whilst QVC arrange for a different courier to undertake this basic task. Use at your peril.

The insurance part is an absolute scam! Here is what happened to me: I've booked a delivery for a product and added insurance of £100. It could not be picked up on the 12th of April, so I've received an update of it. Next day I have seen no update, so asked the seller if it was picked up or not. They responded: yes it was. A lady came, scanned, and took it. No alarm bells so far. I started to become concerned on the 15th that no update happened on any days since the 12th. It still says to this day (over a month later) that: "Your friendly local courier couldn’t collect your parcel today, we're sorry about that. We'll try again on the next working day". I've been told it'll be investigated and I'd get an update. No response whatsoever. Another 3 calls on subsequent days, promises but nothing else. I could make a claim finally so explained that whatever happened to it, it went missing. I'd say the courier probably decided to keep it actually. Anyone can work for hermes as a contractor. (had a drunk guy showing up a few years back btw) The worst part is that following lots of back and forth (proof of value, purchase, explanation etc), they finally decided to reject my claim. Well that's an absolute scam! I haven't received my parcel, the communication was absolutely rubbish, I was treated very badly as a customer and finally they rob me. I'd advise anyone to keep away from this company and boycott their services for their own peace of mind.

My parcel has been at the depot for 6 days. It was sent via 2 day delivery. Every time I have ordered anything of high value and the seller uses Hermes, it goes mysteriously 'missing'. Guarantee there are thieves at the depot. Can't contact a single human and every time you email them it takes two days for them to reply, they stall and stall and stall and there are never any consequences for these incompetent thieves. How they keep getting away with this is insane.

I have received an email that says it is from you. It says that they have been unable to deliver and are asking me to reschedule and pay £1,45. I don’t think I’m expecting a parcel but it’s possible. I’ve tried reporting this to Hermes but there is nowhere on their web site to do so. Poor service in these days of rampant cyber crime. This is a shame as I have thought your service much improved over the last few months

all i want you to do is remove that one star i have just clicked on please. Because you don't even deserve one. you are creating sort of public disorder by giving out false information to your consumers and under trading laws protocols, you shouldn’t be in business. Honestly!! Regarding my personal experience?trust me EVERYTIME i have had expected delivery from hermes its ALWAYS been an awful experience. I don't get it though,you know people are not happy with your service but still trying to carry the dead elephant. Wont be too long....... not just the company but the employees will have to pay a price for cheating and giving false information out to customers.
