can't really rely on Hermes, rarely my parcel will show up on time, most of the time they will inform me of a delay of my parcel at late notice. i would NOT use hermes if you need a parcel quickly and reliably.

Trying to contact customer services is a nightmare . After 3 days still waiting to sort out why they have not picked up my parcel. Will be going elsewhere in future .

I requested parcel to be delivered to neighbour, was informed request would be forwarded to courier. Obviously not - parcel left outside front door where anyone passing could have taken it. This is the second time this has happened. Again I requested delivery to neighbour, parcel left at front door in pouring rain.

"Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with Myhermes, What went wrong?" What went wrong? To be honest, a better question would be "what goes right" at Hermes. On the 2nd of Jan I placed a Next Day Delivery which was to come via Hermes. The next day I got an email saying my package was out for delivery and would come between 2pm and 4pm. Me, knowing the fuckery Royal Mail and Hermes are notorious for, decided to wait for my package as from 12pm (around 12:33 to be precise) in my living room which is within line of sight of the front door. 4pm comes around and my package isn't here so I assume the message I received was just an error and they didn't deliver it (especially since this was on Sunday). But lo and behold, 30 minutes later i get an email saying "Hi, _____. We tried to deliver your BooHoo parcel today but you weren't in". That's Hermes' couriers for you. At least think smart, we were in lockdown on a Sunday afternoon...where else would I be other than at home. Only giving an extra star because the courier must've decided to give their life to Christ and bring my package the next day.

COVIDIOT - Delivery driver didn't keep his distance - when I opened the door he was stood right in front of me and immediately put the parcel into my hands. It is easy to put a parcel on the doorstep and step well back, but this driver didn't follow the guidance or common sense. We need fewer covidiots like him. Also he took the delivery photo before attempting delivery.

Parcels bot being delivered on time. App not tracking or updating. No photo taken of where parcel delivered. Not social distancing when they do deliver.

Yes they will deliver but when and where is for you to find out. As a recipient you have no option to contact them. Couriers are to lazy to get to second floor or ring the bell. Claiming that you where not in. 48 h express.... What a joke

Have had two deliveries go missing, saying they have been delivered but haven’t. I’ve waited in for nearly a week for them, one parcel was due two weeks before Christmas and still not turned up. Have tried ringing Hermes customer service but no answer. Diabolical

I have been sending and receiving parcels by Hermes for years with previously only one major problem. But Hermes is showing itself unable to cope with the volume of parcels resulting from COVID and the increase in online shopping. I have had seven experiences of parcels disappearing or being delayed since mid-October. What makes it worse is it is impossible to speak to a real person at Hermes if the parcel has been sent by a retailer and if you get a message to a real person via 'Holly' the email responses are composed of standard paragraphs. I am now filled with foreboding when I see a retailer has sent a parcel by Hermes and parcels I would have sent by Hermes now go by Royal Mail at extra cost. I have noticed some eBay sellers are making a point of stating that they don't use Hermes. My worst experience was with a parcel from Amazon which had stalled at the Plymouth depot. The second email response to my query via 'Holly' told me that the parcel was deemed lost. When I phoned Hermes I was blocked from speaking to a real person and told to contact Amazon. That I did and Amazon re-sent the items (not by Hermes!). But then the "lost" parcel was delivered nine days late with the box squashed as if it had been stored at the bottom of a large pile of other delayed parcels. The one positive was that Amazon had sent me an email telling me I could keep the items if the parcel eventually arrived. One of the lost parcels contained an item I had bought from a charity shop in Sheffield. The parcel was collected but neither the label nor the receipt card bar codes were scanned by the driver and the receipt card wasn't signed. The parcel never entered Hermes' system and disappeared. I got a refund but I suspect the charity shop will struggle to get compensation with no proof the parcel was collected.

My husband paid premium rate to have a parcel collected on Wednesday 2nd December. Tracking No 9901487246059789, Invoice No 7406155. Needless to say the parcel is still lying here. We contacted Support 3rd December who said he would make sure the parcel was collected that day. Did it heck. We are now on 4th December and I'm not holding my breath. I feel Hermes should change their promises as they obviously don't abide by them. Never again will we use Hermes.

Item was left with my neighbour despite my having specified a safe place for delivery. Was not a particular problem for me but pointless for you to ask customers for 'safe place' choice and then ignore their request.

I have been having several parcels handled by Hermes recently and more the half faced delivery issues: sometimes the driver was not able to deliver the parcel, sometimes it was stated that the driver could not find me at home despite me being at home all day and, worst of all, sometimes the parcel was marked as delivered but it simply never arrived!

Very difficult to deal with when something goes wrong. Customer service procedure is appalling. For two days running, they did not pick up parcels I organized and paid for online. There is no way to follow this up

We have had good experiences with Hermes, to the extent we sent a parcel with them, which was delivered quickly and efficiently. However, the other day we had a parcel delivered by Hermes which was left just inside the front gate. Our drive is about 10m long and slopes up towards the house, so this parcel was left for about half an hour before we noticed it. In the mean time any passing could have taken it. There notification email from Hermes came a short while later. In the light of our previous good experience with Hermes this particular delivery was very disappointing. I hope this was a single blip.

I have had many parcels delivered by my usual heroes delivery guy who comes and knocks my door. This week I've had a potential 3 unreserved deliveries. No one has been to my door to deliver these parcels nor have they been left by my door. It appears they may if delivered been left in the communal area of the building which they have been told not to do. This is not appropriate
