“Having acquired a further puppy brought up on raw I began a review of raw food providers. Ethical principles are very important to us and Naturaw exceeded our expectations. Another concern was our existing Cocker - a very fussy eater. On receiving our taster box the puppy dived in and was happy. To our surprise the existing cocker got stuck in also, fantastic. In parallel I tried a few other providers but have settled on Naturaw.”

“Food is great dog loves it but not a fan of the new packaging with the film lid and the paper in the bottom, much more fiddly to sort out if you aren't using a whole tub at once, have to find another container to put the leftovers in because the film lids are not reuseable - much more mess and we didn't have any problem with recycling the old packaging in the food waste.”

“I have 2 dogs and they seem to have a love hate relationship with Naturaw. They hate tripe but love, lamb, duck, chicken & beef. I buy it because it saves me having to chop chicken and I know they are getting the correct amount of bone. The packaging has improved and is all recyclable. I think it's great value for money and would recommend to all raw feeders.”

“My 2 dogs are elderly and very picky to say the least, but I have in all their 11 years not seen such empty bowls since I have given them Naturaw. So lovely not to have to coax them to eat.”

“Hi Team, My dog loves the food so no issues there at all! I just wanted to comment on the new trays. I thought the sugar cane trays were perfect. Compact, with good lids, and no spillage. Why did they change? The new ones look great but are far bigger than they need to be, have no lids, and the absorbent sheet does not absorb much, if any, meat juices and ends up a soggy mess at the bottom. I really like your ethos and excellent quality food which Molly has now thrived on for several years. Thanks a lot! Susanne”

hi Susanne, thanks for taking the time to leave a review - we'll take the time to address your points :) We changed them for many reasons: they have a far lower carbon footprint than the previous ones, being made in the uk rather than shipped around the world from the far east as sugar cane is. They are also formed from substantially less raw material by replacing the lid with film which reduces transport resources and carbon further. Another big one - the non-stick coating is not only more user friendly (the meat sticking was our biggest negative review point for the last 4 years) but also means they can easily be cleaned and composted more successfully. The previous ones did leak frequently, the new ones are air tight which extends shelf life and increases quality. The sheet is purposefully not absorbant because we wouldn't want it to soak up goodness from the product. It is a plain greaseproof paper to facilitate packing the product cleanly and ensure accurate weights. We are currently working on a reusable lid that should be available soon to pop on the top of an open pack in the fridge. Hope this helps xx

“The food is as great as it has been since we have been using it and our cats love it. However, the packaging has recently changed and we are finding it more difficult to use. The film doesn't open properly when you pull it so you end up with a rip through the middle. We also thought the previous cardboard lid was good as it meant you could seal it whereas now it is left open in our fridge unless we take it all out and put it in another container. The little piece of paper which sits under the food rips when we portion out the food and makes it difficult to scrape all the bits out as I don't like wasting any of it. Apart from the packaging, I love the ethos of Nature raw. I like that they make sure that the animals are humanly killed and are aware of packaging waste.”

Hey Emma, The sheet is a plain greaseproof paper to facilitate packing the product cleanly and ensure accurate weights. We are currently working on a reusable lid that should be available soon to pop on the top of an open pack in the fridge. xx

“Delivered when said and packaging and quality of food is very good. My dog though doesn't eat large amounts so being able to split the pack into two from frozen would be helpful for me - or offer small packs ? A lot easier than preparing food ourselves though. I ordered taster box which unfortunately had 8 turkey based packs in it and as my dog will not eat turkey it wasn't a great start but I'm not put off - yet.”

“I was searching for a while to find the best raw food diet for my pup. After the hassle of having to prep offal and muscle meat myself (which is very difficult as I’m a vegetarian lol) I couldn’t have found Naturaw at a better time! Everything is so well packaged I love that there’s no plastic packaging! And it’s everything that my pup needs! Best food for convenience and health around! Recommend to all my friends and family!”

“I have fed Flynn raw from the beginning, after a couple of different foods, some with added veggies, I settled, or rather Flynn decided that Naturaw was his favourite. The consistency is just right and the many varieties gives him plenty of different proteins. Cleaning up after him is easy as his stools are well formed and minimal. His bowl is always licked clean!! The food is well packaged, although I do struggle to take the film lid off sometimes., but that apart the food is great because it is easy to store in the freezer and there’s no mess. A great product!”
