THE KNIFE IS NOT WHAT WE HAD EXPECTED. THE BLADE HAS STAINED AND WE ARE VERY UNHAPPY WITH IT. I CALLED AND LEFT A MESSAGE ABOUT IT THE OTHER DAY AND NEVER GOT A CALL BACK... HOPEFULLY SOMEONE READS THIS AND REACHES OUT TO ME. Jerry Pellegrino European Performance Engineering, Inc. 165 West Central Street Natick, MA 01760 O-508-651-1316 M-508-277-3819 www.epe.com

Wished this could be a good review, leather sheets were not in order when i got them. I orderd 2 of the same to give one as a present to a friend now i dont know what to do. The wood handel on both knives where draged, looks like it is a problem with quality control. The blade was sharpend ok, not great, but ok. Can´t recommend this product as i got two with the same problem.

I don't know if it was a new person sharpening or it got started and sat down and forgotten about. I attempted to slice the paper invoice that was sent back with my "sharpened" knife and it took me about 10 tries until I caught an edge and was able to cut some of the paper. I was certainly disappointed but I suppose thats what you get for having another man sharpen your knife. D.I.Y. from here on out. The knives are cool though, just don't send them in for sharpening.

This chopper is undersized for most chopping jobs. I would not recommend it.

Extremely disappointed in warranty service. I initially invested in two knives in October of 2021, order # 14181. I saw the 6" Petty that was featured on Bon Appetit and purchased it in a set for $364. I invested in this expensive set because of the reputation for quality and the lifetime warranty. When the knife broke I was disappointed but followed the warranty procedure. I expected a replacement that would restore the items original value. The initial customer interaction was smooth, I sent my knife in for service as instructed. However, what I received back was not the knife I originally purchased, but a significantly altered, less desirable version. My blade was ground down to address the break, fundamentally changing its design, ergonomics, balance and utility. The 6" Petty I received back is physically smaller and no longer functions in the manner I originally intended or paid for. This "repair" devalued my purchase. A lifetime warranty should not change the knive's Form and Function entirely. This experience has been incredibly disappointing. It is failed to honor the implied contract of maintaining the products original quality and design. I have recommended your company to others. I am formally asking New West Knifeworks to take action. I would like my 6" Petty replaced in a reasonable time frame, I wait for a response.
