“I like the smell, and it did work on my arm pits. I'm 39. I found it lasted all day. But the couple times I didn't get a shower before it wore off... it changed my body odor smell from what I'm used to, to the smell of chicken noodle soup. Very very distinct and strong. Very strange. Also, my arm pit turned red like I was burned, but without pain. Had to stop using it.”

“I have really sensitive arm pits and I still get rash from the original pong. The green pong bicarbonate free is good, but doesn’t last as long.”

“I'll start by saying that it is the best natural deodorant that I have tried, and I've tried a few. It still only seems to be good for part of the day for me, I'm currently applying morning, afternoon and before bed and I often need to change my shirt when I do the afternoon application so it's more laundry too. I really wanted to love it and it's worth trying but it was not for me :(”

“I bought this product due to the ingredient list or what’s not in it. It has helped with my continued rash on my arm pits but it doesn’t last that long Maybe 10 hours or less. Not too happy about that. I want to love this product but I just can’t at this time.”

“I was looking for low or no scent. The low fragrance smelled nice and had a great texture, but I was allergic to the scent, so couldn’t use it. The unscented is scent free, but the texture is a little more oily. It works well though.”

“It works but I'd like to smell good .... So I have to combine it with a native one that's smells good to achieve the equivalent of what I'd use. I wish you had different scents something stronger ... I also have to use the sensitive one .... The which is even less smell. I tried the regular it breaks my underarms out. It's good but not quite there! So right now I buy no ping and native and mix them together to get something that smells good and keeps me dry. Not ideal but at least the two works. Ty.”

“I don’t think it’s for me. I tried the light fragrance and the other that is supposed to smell a hint of vanilla and something else. I didn’t smell vanilla. It’s easy to apply. It seemed fine until hours afterwards. I got a gritty buildup under my arm and it smelled really weird. I can’t explain it. Just not for me, however I love products that are natural and try to support Canadian businesses.”

Hi Christine! Thank you for your honest review and for sharing your experience with us. We are sorry to hear it did not live up to your expectations. Our product should not actually be gritty so we will reach out shortly to address this. In terms of our fragrances, all are fairly lightly scented, particularly our Bicarb Free for sensitive skin. “Couple of days using it, I saw its effectiveness. However, I noticed that my underarms are getting darker after roughly a week of using. Also, I was shocked when I noticed after a week of using that I am having this bad odor in my underarm (that I barely have, ever) after several hours even with the product on it. I didn't expect that I will have the opposite effect (I tried the orginal and the bicarb-free). Maybe it's not really for me. It might work for others but unfortunately, not to me.”

“Customer Service: I appreciate No Pong's dedication in making sure that they look into the customers' questions and concerns with product use. I sent them an email before as I noticed my armpit darkening after using the original, and they were timely with their response and sent me a different product (bicarb-freee) at no cost. I appreciate a store with good customer service that gives time to listen and not invalidate a customer. Product: I am a first user of No Pong, I have the original and the bicarb-free. I tried No Pong because I want to go all natural. The first few days of using the original, I had no armpit odor for sure. but as days went by, I noticed discoloration/darkening and so I emailed them right away and was told that I'm one of the couple that had the same issue. It might just be my skin not compatible with the original, so they sent me the bicarb-free and my armpit was back to its original color. However, I noticed that on the days I don't apply the deo because I'm just at home -- my armpit odor was getting too strong compared to before I started using no pong. I do understand that No Pong is not an anti-perspirant, so I understand the sweating. But I was sweating more than I usually sweat. Currently, I am taking a break from it for now and will try to re-introduce later on.”

We are sorry to hear you had a darkening response to the Original variant and are finding a change in your body since using the Bicarb-Free variant. If you've been using anti-perspirants for some time you may find that initially you sweat more, but you should have no body odour. We have also had a lot of people find that after using No Pong for a longer period of time that they actually sweat much less than before, as their pores can breathe freely and their bodies are not constantly trying to produce as much sweat. There can sometimes be a transition time for our bodies to adjust and self-regulate. We will get in touch with you again to learn more about your experience and provide further assistance. “I have been using Pong for about 1 1/2 years. It worked fine for a few months and then I got a rash, I believe from the baking Soda. I switched to the one with no baking soda but am having issues with odour. What do you suggest?”
