“It’s super handy, especially for someone that can’t eat anything with gluten. Some meals like the beef Raghu are super tasty but others not so much.
I really dislike having to dissect my meals and pull out pumpkin skin, carrot peeling and kale core, that’s quite off putting.”
“To be honest, I wanted to buy ready-made meals to save my precious time. However, nothing compares to a fresh, home made meal and I have reverted back to batch cooking and eating my own meals. I think the meals were acceptable to good, however, not good enough for me to continue to order. A positive thing I can say is that the extra large size would feed myself, and my two girls aged 6 and 7. I would end up however, cooking more veggies for the side. Delivery was prompt and as promised. This service may be good for some, but it’s not for me.”
“Nourish'd appears to be a very juvenile business with many teething issues - poor delivery service, though pleasant customer service was received. Whilst healthy, the meals are not particularly filling, need more meat and are overpriced. When you try to order online, the meals keep being deleted upon check out and you have to go through the process again. I also keep receiving promotional emails with a random name attached! There are definitely much better meal delivery services out there.”
“Everything taste the same and does t represent value for money as the quantity is very low for each meal. Also for the amount NDIS pays for this service, I’d expect 3 meals a day not just one tiny meal”
“The food itself has improved since Christmas and is mostly very nice! I could do with a bit less cauliflower in the selections, though! Gets a bit monotonous! And a real rather than cauliflower, risotto would be great!
I have had issues with the technology and the delivery.
Initially I was unable to access my account but that has been resolved.
I do not like the new website because the colours and fonts are very bland and it is hard to tell when one has made a selection.
With the delivery, my order gets delivered on a Monday. Because I live on an island it gets delivered to a transport company who then deliver to me. If it is a public holiday Monday the company is closed. I haven’t received adequate warning of a public holiday Monday coming up. I’m on an Aged Care Home Care package and have been quite ill . As such, I am not always aware of when public holidays are occurring! A generic email from the system to everyone could easily advise people who may have similar issues. So, I have still had my food delivered when no one has been there at the transport company to accept it and put it in the chiller. Similarly, this week, my food was delivered after business hours! Fortunately, I was able to contact mainland friends who retrieved the box of food, put the meals in their fridge and took them back to the transport company the next morning. The transport company opens at 7.30 and if delivery was prior to 8.30 the food could be on delivered to me the same day. Whatever happens, though, it just doesn’t work delivering to a closed company!
A week ago I had a slow cooked beef meal. The flavour was very nice. However, there was one very large piece of what appeared to be meat and 4 or 5 very small pieces. The large piece turned out to be mostly gristle! Totally inedible! Hardly any meat in the dish. I sent pictures in to the Nourish’d team. I had thought I might get some sort of credit, but nothing.
These things have me looking about for another provider!”
“We have had our ups and downs with this company. Generally good.
Areas to improvement are delivery drivers not clear where to drop food off. Change in driver often change in where to place food. Internal systems failed over Xmas - no delivery for about 8 weeks until I made contact. Fixed straight away - but what a time for this to happen. Not ideal if your client is non verbal. Meals do look very good quality though. So far tings seem to be on the up.”
“Nourish’d meals are good but when it comes to request refunds, after so many follow up emails, takes more than a month before refund took place, which is unacceptable.”
“Pretty good. Had some sweet potato that had clearly be off/mouldy before it was cooked so that was off putting. Can I request an organic option? Happy to pay more for either organic meat only or organic everything as much as possible.”
“Simply put, I placed several ordered the time in the different boxes different times not on time and when arrived most of the time ice packs were melted!! It's also hard to get customer service on the phone either short staff or too busy!”
“Meatballs Marinara a bit to much tomato based sauce and too much broccoli. The Moroccan Baked eggs was nice, but again too much tomato based sauce. I would prefer a wider variety of other vegetables. The Meatballs dish could have some Zucchini and chickpeas instead of so much broccoli. I am finding there isn't enough variety in vegetables with most of the meals lately. While there is a big range of vegetables to choose from there seems to be only a few that get added to most meals.
You might say they are added to various sauces, but that doesn't make them as appetizing as when they are added to the meal as a separate vegetable.”
“The meals are okay. Sometimes there are too many vegetables! And I hate cauliflower rice! Gnocci was impressive but that seems to be discontinued. The standard of the meals has improved since Christmas - I have thought maybe a new chef? I would love a roast meal to be a roast meal Sometimes there is just way too much broccoli! I would love the option of mashed potato with corned beef! I do like the sweet-potato noodles.”
“Some of the meals we good I have made an one off order again. However I wasn’t able to choose a lot of the meals when I ordered. Not a big range of selection available.”
