“BAD & SNEAKY NURX business‼️‼️‼️
TERRIBLE customer service‼️‼️‼️‼️
NURX did me a favor, because of their thievery, a quick google search & RedBox RX is much cheaper.
NURX changes your order without authorization. Then refuses to refund the charge when brought up to customer service's attention.
I chose to not subscribe to the Tretinoin product, instead I chose to order it as 'one time purchase' each time. because I always have way too much product remaining when NURX wants to send out the next subscription.
1st order, no problem. 2nd order, still not a subscription, but there was a confusion in the size. It was a size larger than I thought I had ordered, meaning much more expensive than my 1st order. After going back & forth with customer service, I accepted the larger & more expensive product thinking it was my error in ordering.
Now, without any additional contact from me, I am suddenly on a subscription with an automated $93.- withdrawn from my account. I spent all day trying to reach someone at customer service to cancel this last order & to cancel the unauthorized subscription. I have repeatedly asked for my money to be refunded with the cancellation. NURX refused to refund the $93.- The product is great but it will be the same product at other online companies for Tretinoin. I will NOT be ordering from NURX again. Extremely ticked off, former customer.”
“NURX does not care about their customers. I’ve been a customer with NURX for years, and I recently switched my account from Auto Refill —> to On Demand so that I can control when I receive medication. NURX charges me anyways for the medication, messaged me letting me know I had the ability to cancel and they would release the funds. I explained my situation and asked them to NOT SEND medication, they ignored my message and let me know it was shipped. I asked for a refund and they refused to fix their error and lack of communication, even after I said I’d remove all of my three subscriptions with them. They still refused. All over $45! I’ve had to dispute this charge with my bank and now cancelled everything with them. They care more about making a buck than sustaining any sort of long standing customer relationship.”
“They doubled charged my credit card two payments of $69 and when I contacted them to ask for a refund for one of the payments, the response was negative and not professional. I was told that they were going to take one payment of $69 out and I should have been informed if they were going to take out more than that I did not authorize any second payment to be taken out of my card. On top of that, I was never told that this is a subscription based company where even though you don’t get no medicine, they still charge your card for services that you did not receive scam fraud. They also take forever to respond to your messages. The only time they message you is when they want their money and they threaten you we won’t give you no medicine unless you give your money and we cutting you off that is so unprofessional. I highly recommend that anyone that is looking for medication online this is not the place. I recommend you go in person to a doctor so you won’t get scammed by some Indian Middle Eastern, Doctor.”
“At first it was good but then after the second experience, I started noticing shady behavior where they would take my money and then they wouldn’t ship the medicine. I had to keep sending messages over and over asking them .OK so I paid so when is my medicine gonna be shipped. I missed one payment and they started messaging me saying where is their money at and if they don’t get their money they were going to cancel my services. I was doubled charged and I was told specifically that they were going to take one payment of $69 out and they ended up taking two payments out of my card and then I sent them over five messages and still have not gotten no response. This company is a scam and fraud.”
“Surprise autopay you can't opt out of! They absolutely will steal money from you.
There is no mention of autopay on their website that I can find. There is no warning that there will be surprise charges to your account that hit around 3 AM EST. They'll just send you a text *after* the fact.
There is no way to opt out of payments you hadn't been informed of being deducted from your account automatically and without warning. No option to just be sent a bill or invoice. No option to delete your account or remove your payment information.
I'm pretty sure this isn't even legal.”
“I want to leave a review on their website but can't seem to.
Their services were useless. Told I can not take combined contraceptives despite it never being a problem in my life with any other provider in the last 17 years. Taking steroids for cortisol replacement is NOT a reason to refuse contraceptives. This is totally unscientific, breaches standard of care, and is unacceptable. They are barring me from necessary medical care for no reason, as there is NO indication nor has there ever been that it unsafe to use contraceptives while on hydrocortisone. Many people with adrenal insufficiency or on steroids take combined OCPs as I have for YEARS prior. The Dr who was supposed to give me care thru their app is not knowledgeable and their care is a joke. "Chronic steroid use" is totally different from physiologic replacement doses of hydrocortisone and this kind of confusion on Nurx's part is the result of an inadequate understanding of cortisol and its importance physiologically. Due to the extremely limited and even ignorant understanding of cortisol replacement dosing vs chronic steroid use, I absolutely cannot in conscience recommend Nurx to anyone.”
“Do not trust Nurx with mental health medication management. I have been using Nurx for 11 months for "medication management" for my anxiety medication. I had no refills remaining on my current prescription so I contacted Nurx by message when I noticed I was about a week from running out. They sent me a link to the renewal questionnaire which I completed immediately. They notified me the same day that my prescription was placed on hold until my answers could be reviewed by the medical team. After a few days I had not heard anything, so I contacted Nurx again by message requesting the updated prescription and noted I only had one dose left. I received a response that my question would be reviewed by the medical team. I contacted Nurx again the next day by message requesting the updated prescription and noted that I had now taken the last dose and was completely out. I received no response, so I later contact Nurx by phone and they escalated my issue and assured me I would hear from the medical team soon. I heard nothing and so contacted Nurx the next day requesting the updated prescription and noting that I am now one day off of my medication due to their inaction. I pay for medication management which is supposed to include, "Acess to treatment adjustments when needed", "Unlimited messaging with your trusted medical team", and "Our team makes sure your treatment is delivered" which is categorically false as I cannot get anyone to provide me with my renewed prescription. I am now going through SSRI withdrawls due to their failure to provide care. I still have not received my renewed prescription and cannot get any response from the business. I understand they are busy but the lack of urgency related to medication management for psychiatric conditions is alarming. No prescriber I have ever worked with would allow a patient to be forced off their medication "cold turkey" due to their inaction. Don't offer services you can't safely provide.”
“I needed a 1 time prescription for a skin condition that I already knew I had. They decided to sign me up for a refill every 90 days. They do not warn you that it will refill and charge you. They then tell you that it is illegal to return the prescription or refund you. TERRIBLE business practice!”
“I've used NURX since 2018. I've had a decent number of problems, usually with the app crashing while I'm updating information or them miscalculating my prescription delivery date. Recently, I've had issues where my prescription expires with no notice, and an automatic renewal form is started (that I don't have access to) while also making it so I can't start my own renewal process. In the past, I've been able to call their help line and get a considerate CS agent who is willing to troubleshoot with me and even expedite my Rx when needed without me asking. More than once I've called with a problem so annoying I was going to cancel my account, but after speaking with their CS agent I felt good about where my money was going.
In the last year, they've expanded their services a lot but clearly at the cost of their customer support. I called about the same renewal form issue and was scolded by two different agents who made constant comments about how unbelievable my issues were, and who I had to prompt multiple times along the way to see if they were going to help me or not. It left me feeling crazy. I call with all my information in order, begging to give you my money, and you act like I have nothing better to do than lie about the app crashing and waste your time?
I have had constant issues with their app, and now their CS agents can't even be bothered to be nice while dealing with people desperate for medical care. I'll be terminating my account as soon as they let me.”
“Do NOT use this company!! Absolute worst ever, a total joke. There should be some kind of vetting for online companies like this claiming to provide healthcare. All contact is conducted via chat, and it takes them 4 or 5 days to respond to your message each time. This is the method they're using to diagnose people and treat them!! There's no video call, no call at all. When the "doctor" finally prescribed me something after weeks, it was a medication I expressly said from the beginning that I didn't want to take. I told her that, and that I was unhappy with the service, and then that was it. I was dropped off to a "customer service" department who told me they didn't issue any refunds, ever, for any reason. Horrible.”
“Beware of this company. I purchased tretinoin (3-month supply). Beware that a 3-month supply is only 1 tube of tretinoin.
They charged my credit card without without my permission.
I never put in an order for a refill. I was not on auto refill. I deactivated my account. Told them on the phone not to send another refill, but they did it anyway.”
“I’ve used Nurx for years and at first loved it. I needed a birth control refill right as everything was shutting down in 2020 and they made it easy to get one. I was very happy up until about a year ago. Response times were slow and when it came time for a refill they kept saying there was an issue but wouldn’t explain what. Two weeks after being off my medications they finally got me my refill. I also used their mental health services and cancelled after two years on it. The price is astronomical for mental health.”
“NURX is solely a telehealth service and does not have any physical offices in any city. NURX operates on an asynchronous telehealth model, meaning the providers do not office visits or video visits. Communication with NURX occurs only through their app or web messaging.
My regular PCP and One Medical (a subscription health service) can provide better service. If NURX needs more information from you, you will still have to visit your PCP's office for the necessary tests, or NURX will send you test kits at your expense.
Even though I already have a prescription from my PCP/One Medical doctor, NURX still requested more information that I couldn't remember, such as:
Approximately what year were you diagnosed with Hep B?
● What year were you treated?
● What medication was used for treatment?
● At the time you were treated, were you having symptoms?
NURX implies that your regular PCP or One Medical doctor does not meet their standards. This information was not enough for NURX, and they requested all tests to be repeated. My PCP/One Medical doctor is already monitoring my condition for PrEP medication.
If you try to call their customer service for help, it can feel helpless. They will ask for your phone number, name, date of birth, and the last four digits of the credit card on file. If you are using an FSA account and don't have it handy, NURX will not be able to assist you further. They cannot verify your identity with other informations on your profile.
Dealing with this company can be very frustrating and stressful.”
“The worst customer service in existence. They clearly do not read your messages and take asinine action based on keywords. I tried to go through them last spring for a prescription and they ran me around so much I never filed it or used it. I've been having trouble with pharmacies filling this prescription so I decided to try nurx again. They decided that since my old prescription was still showing on my account and it was going to be a year since issuance they would force me to renew it after I just received a new prescription and signed up for auto shipments for refills. I asked them to cancel the year old prescription but instead they canceled the new one which has already shipped and been delivered. When I asked them to fix this mixup they instead tried to force me to renew the old one with a new consult fee. I have since requested cancelation and removal of my account.
Unless you have no other option, stay away.”
“I have been going back-and-forth with this company for four days trying to get tretinoin approved and some acne medication. They keep switching me doctors and people that I’m speaking to one person tells me they can approve me for the anti-aging and acne medication then the next doctor they transfer me to says that they can’t, but they’re in the same family, like why don’t you guys pay attention to what each doctor is telling the patients take your money make you beg for the medication your asking and paying for”
