“Really disappointed by my experience with Oak Furniture Store and Sofas. I ordered five different pieces of furniture from the website, and the ordering and delivery process was straightforward. However, when I removed the coffee table I ordered from the packaging, I found that it had engraved branding on one of the external faces that was not included in the description on the website or shown in any of the photos. When I contacted Oak Furniture Store and Sofas to ask whether this was a mistake and whether I would find similar markings on the other pieces, they advised that this was "anti fake" labelling. I would not have purchased these pieces if the markings had been shown on the website or disclosed in the description of the furniture. I have asked to return the furniture and receive a refund - at this point Oak Furniture Store and Sofas has refused and has stopped responding to my emails. In my view Oak Furniture Store and Sofas is not complying with its obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act or the Fair Trading Act. Unfortunately, would have to recommend against buying from this outfit until they update their website photos and descriptions. One of the items I received was also damaged - in fairness Oak Furniture Store and Sofas offered to replace this item but I would prefer to return for. a refund because it does not correspond with the description / depiction on the website.”
