“It took 4 months to recieve the table we ordered. It is a very nice table but when we went on line to buy this table there was nothing clearly advising us that you were just a brokering agent who ordered these tables from overseas after we placed the order. We expected that you would have these items in stock within NZ to forward on to customers. You need to make that very clear to your customers.”

“This company fails to disclose the full details of its furniture it falsely represents its products I would never purchase from or recommend this company. I have been sent an invitation to review under the name Janet Derksen this is not me but thought I'd take the opportunity to offer my opinion if you'd like to see the reality take a look at the google reviews under Janine Pipes”

“We had defects on one of the pieces we received. Company completely refused to acknowledge these and explained they were only the depot and the company is based in China so we have no recourse. Would never buy again from this overseas based company”

“Poor advertising, photos do not show accurately the product, colouring was totally different in real life and there is an ugly logo very visible. The quality was also not worth the price. Customer service very poor. Would not recommend this company or their products to anyone. We have been most disappointed.”

“I am astounded to receive the request for a review. I received faulty goods and only a partial refund for other items ordered but not delivered. Substandard customer service and poor quality. Will never ever order from you again and have told everyone I know not to,”

“Really disappointed by my experience with Oak Furniture Store and Sofas. I ordered five different pieces of furniture from the website, and the ordering and delivery process was straightforward. However, when I removed the coffee table I ordered from the packaging, I found that it had engraved branding on one of the external faces that was not included in the description on the website or shown in any of the photos. When I contacted Oak Furniture Store and Sofas to ask whether this was a mistake and whether I would find similar markings on the other pieces, they advised that this was "anti fake" labelling. I would not have purchased these pieces if the markings had been shown on the website or disclosed in the description of the furniture. I have asked to return the furniture and receive a refund - at this point Oak Furniture Store and Sofas has refused and has stopped responding to my emails. In my view Oak Furniture Store and Sofas is not complying with its obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act or the Fair Trading Act. Unfortunately, would have to recommend against buying from this outfit until they update their website photos and descriptions. One of the items I received was also damaged - in fairness Oak Furniture Store and Sofas offered to replace this item but I would prefer to return for. a refund because it does not correspond with the description / depiction on the website.”
