“Furniture is solid wood. It is also very well made. I did find it thin and light. Probably more appropriate as childrens furniture. Small shallow drawers. I recommend viewing before ordering online. Had I viewed I would not have ordered and paid a bit more to get a solid peice, suitable for an adults room.”
“There was a chip in the front drawer. Bottom shelf is built by sap wood. No response after complaining to the company with these issues. Overall average product.”
“Love the furniture, quality was fantastic, easy to put together - but very disappointed in customer service. The wardrobes were pre ordered with an expected arrival of 8-10 weeks. I had to contact them after 12 weeks to get updates. 14 weeks, after I contacted the office again, I was told they were in the country. It was another couple of weeks when I contacted them again to be told 2 of 3 items were in the warehouse waiting for the 3rd item to arrive. After the initial order was placed 9 February, the last shipment was dispatched 9 June. I was promised a gift voucher due to the delay. That didn't happen. If you are prepared to wait a long time with no progress updates, you will love the furniture when it eventually arrives.”
“The dresser we ordered had a 4-6 week wait time, it arrived 14 weeks later and when it did one of the drawers was damaged so had to be sent away and fixed.”
“The furniture we bought is 5 star, just a pitty the delivery took 4 months with no communication of the delay until I followed up. The website said 6 weeks max. I feel that this is false advertising.
It is also not stated clearly that the furniture is actually manufactured overseas which can delay delivery significantly.”
“The communication was terrible and my order took about a month to be delivered with no correspondence, even after I called and they said someone will call me back which didn’t happen. There was no obvious notice of the order being delayed which was also frustrating.
Product is good but not sure about future purchases due to the above reasons.”
“Loved the quality of the furniture but unfortunately we were sent the wrong fittings for our bed frame. We are still waiting for replacements over a month later and have had several emails back and forth trying to resolve the situation. Not ideal!”

“Beautiful furniture. I real shame about the service….I paid for a coffee table to be assembled and all packaging removed by the staff at Oaf Furniture - after realising within hours that the table was just too big for the space I contacted Oak Furniture Store and was adamantly refused a return of the table because “I need to return with original packaging in order for a return to be accepted”. No matter how much I tried to explain that I paid for the service of assembly and therefore Oak Furniture Store staff took packaging with them, they did not see this as a good enough reason for me to not have access to the packaging…bizarre. Be aware of this, as I find that really unreasonable and unrealistiic. I appreciate Oak Furniture just now sending me the link to leave a review.”
“We purchased a bed frame and it got sent to us down the line. It got received during covid at our batch and neighbour were kind enough to take delivery of it. No visible damage when received but unfortunately, concealed damage. Corner post chipped. Obvious it had been dropped on the corner somewhere doing transit and a piece had come off. Working in freight industry myself and fully aware off that you only have certain time frames to complain about damages and that time was long gone due to the covid restrictions. We only unpacked the bed months after. We contacted shipper by email and asked if they could provide any sort of advice on how to fix this damage or other suggestion where to get it fixed. Called as well and was promised someone would call back. To the best of my knowledge, no one ever called us back. Never asked for a discount, refund, or replacement, just wanted to know if they could assist with trying to fix the broken part. In the end, we got a local tradie to come in a fix it.
Seller did not do anything wrong in regards to their legal obligation in any way or form, but a call or email back would have been appreciated and I would have considered that good customer service. Unfortunately that was not done and therefore they score low on my review”
“Purchase of Oak Coffee table Arrived in damaged condition and it was significant trouble to gain acceptance by the company of the damage and a solution to the damaged item with the matter diverted between various persons
Ultimately accepted a less than satisfactory compromise on the article which required additional effort from me to gain an outcome. After repair by a reputable tradesperson, I now have the item in an acceptable state of repair to be serviceable.”
