Worst customer services ever experienced, I have been trying to leave for 3 months now since contract ended and went to extremely expensive variable rates but they keep blocking the move and won't answer emails etc. Obviously to screw me out of more money at the higher rates. Avoid at all cost.

Thief dishonest and careless customer service took them 13 working days to get back to me I have to call them 4 times until I get a response and there response was I was responsible for paying bill from March but they have backdated to February because the other tenant company was dissolved in February they can’t bill him but he was under contract but they have charged me extra money because that 3 months was not under contract instead of charging old company they charged me which is already been paid by him what they did three refunds him the money and charges me for that period because they can make extra money absolutely disgusting company

THEY TOOK £7700 OUT OF OUR BANK ACCOUNT FOR SIX WEEKS OF GAS SUPPLY STATING THAT IT WAS OUR FAULT FOR NOT PROVIDING A METER READING. THERE IS NO WAY WE COULD HAVE USED ALL THAT GAS IN SIX WEEKS. ASKED FOR REFUND SAID WOULD TAKE 7 WORKING DAYS. RANG AGAIN AND THEY SAID THEY NEED A PICTURE OF THE METER BEFORE THEY WOULD REFUND THE MONEY. NEVER ASKED THAT BEFORE. JUST PUT OBSTACLES IN THE WAY OF ACTIONS. AGREE THAT NO TWO DEPTS SPEAK TO EACH OTHER AND THEN BLAME THE CUSTOMER FOR THINGS GOING WRONG. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

AVOID THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE ROBBERS. THEY OVERCHARGE AS ESTIMATE YOUR BILL THOUGH YOU SEND IN METER READINGS. THE CHARGES ARE COMPLETE ANOMALIES AND THEY HARASS YOU TO PAY UP EVEN THOUGH I DISPUTED THE CHARGE. THE DEPARTMENTS DO NOT COMMUNICATE SO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT DOES NOT DEAL WITH THE BILLINGS DEPARTMENT SO ANY ISSUES ARE JUST NOT RELAYED. COULD NOT SAY ANY STRONGER DO NOT USE THEM!

Robbing company please avoid - lesson learnt never say yes to anything over the phone they lock you into a 4 year contract without even realising! they constantly use estimated bills then decide to send a bill off £300 as a catch up bill even though we send meter reading every month! We have evidence of this also! Terribly long waits on reply on email - i refuse to call them as last time I did that const me nearly £30! AVOID

Opus appointed bailiffs to collect their debt before sending their Bill. Never use this dishonest , despicable company.

I took over a car wash and unfortunately after 3 months of business I had to be shut by law. I received a bill for over £2000. When I called them they informed me that the bill was cancelled. Soon after few days they sent me a bill for £15000.00 Now the bill has mounted to £19000 for 6 months of electricity usage. I have a limited company that is still active however I have sold the car wash. I am now receiving bills at my residential address. I am now worried that they might send bailiffs to confiscate my assets. Is there anyone that can help please. My number is 0 7 9 1 5 5 1 5 9 1 7. Thank you Dean

Hi DON'T GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS SUPPLIER! My bill has gone from £6k per annum to £34k per annum. Last August I renewed with Opus, they snuck in additions to the contract without telling me. One change amongst many was a 6 months notice period on a 12 month contract, if you missed this 6 month marker you are then legally liable for a further 24 months at a variable tariff of their choosing. The operator was quite smug as you can well imagine. All he would say was 'Well you signed the contract mate, not me'.

Awful experience, while I am not even their customer. Just move in a new property 4 months ago, gave them the meter reading immediately. Only to receive a crasy bill of £2300 .... The property is still in construction, so we haven't use anything! They are thief's. They broke into my property and stole my meter, no idea why, no warning. They purposefully broke my lock on their way put, to stuck me out. I had to pay £200 locksmiths. Awful customer service. No help whatsoever. Will NEVER be their customer

stay away from Oups energy even if you remain without power. lies rude customer service high price I spoke to them today to take my deposit back they want to keep my money by telling me some carp. they are the worse ever on the planet. don't pay any deposit as you will never get it back. guy stay away from them they tell you everything good at first when you are with them it is like hell. she didn't want to transfer me to her manager. if you want to hear my story with them please call me on 074 70 70 70 71. I am taking them to court liars. don't pay a deposit because they will find a way to keep it for themselves my deposit is a big example. they rang me today to tell me more lies and call us in 2 weeks then someone said I will be out of my office for a few days. take my experience and you don't have to through all the stress am going through. if there was 0 i would have gave them but the lowest is 1

Totally despicable company. I have a large holiday property which has been empty for quite a few months of the year. In January and February 2022, I received bills for £1000 and £900 when there were no guests at all in the property. They try to tell me that my electricity was being stolen but I have had my electrician do a test throughout the entire house and he was baffled as nothing (apart from 2 freezers) were running. He then noticed that the R1 Day and R2 Night rates were transposed so they were charging me R2 for Day. I have gone back to them but they will not have it. I put the phone down on an extremely obnoxious young man yesterday who basically told me that I dont know what I am talking about. I have 4 meters in total at my business premises and all of them are standard R1 Day and R2 Night apart from theirs.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY MAKE UP THE BILL AND CHARGE A FORTUNE AND DON'T GO OFF THE METER READING YOU SEND IN. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE STAFF ARE MORE THAN USELESS AND INCOMPETENT.

Absolutely FOUL people. They are the RUDEST people ive ever dealt with in my entire life. They refuse to offer a payment plan unless i also pay for any possible FUTURE usage?? I have changed supplier and they want me to pay for future usage with them?? They want me to pay £12,000 for 2 months of power for a 45sqm business.

I'm a small business, I work on my own in a hair salon, I use one hairdryer there has been no lights on the water is heated by gas yet they want £334 for one month even though I was on holiday for two weeks during that time. I can't log on to my account or get the email link they supposed to have sent several times. This happened just before the last price hike in electricity. I am changing supplier don't go with Opus as you will be sorry just like I am. My next step is the ombudsmen who I will contact now.

Told me I had a domestic meter in my commercial property so could not renew my contract but yet charging me Business variable which had no cap !! Bill has jumped from £40 to £250 for a month !! Absolute Scum of the earth ! Avoid Avoid Avoid this company !! Thieves.

Avoid at all costs. We’re currently having issues with them & out if interest I just checked online to see what reviews they’ve been given. My dad has a rental property (recently reset) & he has informed them on at least 3 occasions that he is no longer the appropriate contact. He has received several letters (all of them in triplicate) advising him that they would not release him from his contract. They have eventually released him (taken about 6 weeks). Now I’ve just found out he has a further final bill (they’ve used no gas for almost a year & the direct debit was supposed to cover the standing charge). Checking with the new tenant (who has switched company) she also has an unexpected bill from them charging her at an extortionate standing charge …. because THEY would not release from contract. Absolutely disgusting. Do not use & avoid at all costs

Absolute Thieves!!! Just had a change of name on the bill, nothing else has changed yet Opus cancelled the good deal that was still in place for a few months and put us on a DEEMED rate, £3.00 per day standing charge and 80p per KWH. They have a premium rate number to ring them and if you try by email they take ages to get back to you and each time you have to give them all the info all over again. Not at any stage did they tell me about the rip off changes until we received a back dated bill for over £650.00. Just had a very bad conversation with s special Opus advisor, very unhelpful and told me that we have to pay the bill and the rip charges still stand.... Beware of this company, their customer service is awful!!! They are now stopping me from changing suppliers even though they have been asked by the Ombudsman, twice they have stopped it until I pay their extortionist deemed rates, beware this company!!! These companies do not realise that when this crisis is all over we will remember how we have been treated by them
