We purchased 2 x Black & Grey metal 4 seater garden dining set with parasol - product code: 5060832770040. These were purchased and placed in the garden patio area of a retirement scheme in July 2024. They were described as being 'resistant to the British weather', 'all weather material,' 'suitable for outdoors', 'weather resistant' with a years guarantee. When it came time to storing them in September 2024 ( a mere 2 months), all 8 chairs were found to be rusted and faded on every arm and at the feet of each chair leg, both tables were rusted around the corner edges and the plastic rim lip over the tempered glass was warped. It is plain to see that what we purchased was not as described on the website. I have never known powder coated steel to rust in 2 months outside in the summer! Absolutely the worst quality garden furniture. To add insult to injury, outdoorliving's customer service was terrible. Despite the photographic evidence sent to them on every item of both sets, the fact that the product was not as described, the fact that the quality of the product was shockingly poor, they would not allow them to be returned or refunded. In fact, they completely ignored correspondence sent in trying to resolve the issue. You cannot even speak to anyone via the phone. When they did eventually reply after numerous attempts, the best they could offer was to replace some of the parts. They refused to refund or exchange both sets. This was not good enough at all and since the last correspondence to them explaining that replacing some of the parts was not reasonable at all based on the above points and that the product is not fit for purpose, they have continued to ignore all correspondence; leaving this unresolved to date. If I could give Outdoorliving no stars I would happily do so. This is a lesson learned and I hope that by sharing this experience with others, it will help others to avoid buying any products from such a terrible company. Products that are not fit for purpose served with a dose of the worst customer service!

I wish I had read the reviews before buying, ordered a water feature which arrived broken in two places, called complained and they EVENTUALLY sent a replacement (as per terms and conditions). Received the replacement via courier and lo and behold again broken.......... at this point I had requested a refund as I now had no trust in the product. This was however after numerous emails which were ignored even when promises were made regarding contact. I was later told that I would have to courier the broken item back to them even though this was the 2nd replacement and this (despite pointing out their poor customer service) was the only way I would get a refund. Returned it and was told I would have the refund once they received it. I HAD TO WAIT AROUND 3 WEEKS for the refund, again with phone calls and emails being ignored. Terrible customer service and an awful product

Ordered and paid for goods on 7th April, sent 2 email on 17th April asking for update, both ignored. Telephoned on 30th April, spoke to Steff who said she would look into and email by 4.00pm - which she did not. now 8th May , still no goods and no response!

Don’t buy from them they do not send there items 2 weeks still waiting for a pump avoid takeing action with PayPal to get my money back

Give em a miss, One star because I cannot leave zero Ordered 3000 Pump, promptly received email to advise DPD tracking, ONE WEEK LATER, NO PUMP, phoned and was advised pump would be sent overnight, NO PUMP, phoned again, turns out no pump in stock and that i would have to have 2000 pump that would serve the purpose even though it was physically smaller, did arrive next day in odd box, NOT ORIGINAL PACKAGING, not the make ordered, clearly not new and missing parts, no packaging, no instructions, phoned again, eventually very rude guy insists they do not issue returns labels and I have to pay return!!! Do yourself a favour, give this company a miss

Customer service is appalling! Leaking water feature after only 3 months use, contacted company and sent photos numerous times asking for a replacement or full refund. I have been offered sealant! This company is a disgrace. Would NOT recommend !

Ordered a pump to replace a broken one. They sent the wrong product. The product sent was not compatible. Unable to contact the company via their website (no reply from the contact form). Eventually got through on the phone only to be told that this was 'our mistake' and we had to pay the return costs. Will not be using them again, and would warn anyone else not to either.

Solar trellises not working and cost £95. Company refused to pay for the return postage of these items. Would never ever buy from them

Bought a solar water feature for over £250 back in Oct 2020. The pump that came with the fountain barely made a trickle and wasn't powerful enough. After contacting the company I was assured the pump was the one normally sent with the feature and was asked to try a different tube adapter and ensure the solar panel was charged. None made the flow any better. I asked to return the product but was told this would incur a handling fee, which for a faulty product I disagreed with. In the end, I had to return the pump and was sent a 800lph solar pump. This appeared to solve the issue. All Happy. Did not use the feature that year as summer was over so packed it away. Used last summer (2021) but only sporadically as didn't leave it running 24/7. Packed away for that winter. Got it back out for spring 2022 and the pump now doesn't work. I've changed the impeller, cleaned the filter, charged the panel. It has power but not enough to get water up the tube. Contacted Outdoor living, obviously the item is out of warranty, they don't sell replacement pumps and only sell the whole solar kit for £99+!! No other universal pumps from ebay will fit either. Should have returned the product back in 2020 after buying it. Poor product and getting anything from customer service is like pulling teeth. Would buy from elsewhere!

I bought a water feature from the Harrogate flower show in September, when it arrived it leaked from the base unit and the lights failed to illuminate when switched on. I contacted the company straight away and requested a refund as I was very disappointed with the quality of the product, I spoke to Steve who told me they don't except refunds, I told him I didn't want a replacement or a repair kit!! After 5 emails to them ignored I contacted my credit card company for a charge back, Steve soon got in touch to arrange courier pickup of his faulty item. DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!

I dont usually complain this is a first for me. I’m absolutely furious I ordered a cantilever base from Outdoor living. Delivery was fine. I wanted to arrange a return OMG what a disaster this turned out to be. The company don’t accept emails, and you cannot get through on the phone to arrange a return either. Company is only open from 9-1. I tried so many times to call with which resulted in phone just ringing. No way to leave a message either. What sort of company work like this. I eventually got through and spoke To someone who said they would get there colleague to get a RMA number for me and would be in touch for collection. No email/no call back. I called again a couple of times. Couldn’t get through. Eventually did and was told it’s over 30 days and would not take item back. I explained how bad the service has been and not my fault I cannot get through. What company don’t let you leave messages on phone or email them. I work for the NHS and am frontline. What was I meant to sit on phone daily from 9-1 so that I could talk to someone. I explained this to two people and there was no leeway at all or any apologies for not being able to contact anyone for so long. The man I spoke to lastly said I don’t care if you work for coke cola or NHS it’s still over 30 days. Shocking. I hope he don’t get Covid! My words stay clear of this company they are very unprofessional, terrible customer service, appalling to talk to someone, stay away buy from another company who will be more professional and you might actually be able to email/call.

I have never in my life been spoken to by such a rude member of staff. To be told that I am a d**ckhead by their business development manager! Ha what a joke. The item was delivered damaged, and not as described. I sent an email to the company right away on day of delivery. The company did not respond. I thought well I'll use it anyway as they'll clearly be able to see its not like what I ordered and they'll just exchange it. 2 days later the pump has stopped working. Contacted them today via the phone and got through to one of the most aggressive, rude induvial I have ever spoken to! The customer service at this place is a joke!!!!

I HAVE WAITED OVER A MONTH FOR A 12V WATER FEATURE PUMP.MONEY HAS BEEN TAKEN FROM ACCOUNT BUT NO PUMP.PROMISED 5 DAY DELIVERY.UNABLE TO CONTACT OR EMAIL COMPANY.LOOKED AT REVIEWS TOO LATE.DO NOT NOT NOT USE THIS COMPANY.AVOID AT ALL COSTS.CUSTOMER SERVICE NON EXISTENT DELIVERY NON EXISTENT.AVOID THIS COMPANY AND IT'S WEBSITE.

Avoid this company at all costs, I’ve never dealt with such an incompetent company who’s staff live in fear of upsetting the director Mike Hall, The fear in the young ladies voice on the phone apologising profusely for her bosses attitude but was unable to provide a refund after promising one (the poor woman kept going around in circles unable to answer my questions due to her boss telling her to fob me off) Long story short I’m stuck with an incorrect item of much lesser value due to them failing to keep up their promises of collecting it & exchanging it for the correct item (which is in stock) I opened a PayPal claim but because a tracking number for the incorrect item was sent they closed the case) Big word of warning to anyone thinking of using this company, don’t unless you are prepared to be mucked about & make many phone calls to chase them, the director is one of the most arrogant people I’ve ever dealt with & he most definitely isn’t interested in customer service, maybe this is why he has so many dissolved company director positions listed with companies house? I think the reviews on here are self explanatory. The incorrect item is still awaiting collection by DPD, It was packaged as instructed & left for collection (I was told DPD would bring the address label) I have CCTV footage of DPD turning up & looking at the item but not taking it, I’m now being asked to post it back at my own expense despite Steve admitting it is incorrect & they would collect. The correct item was ‘posted 24 hours’ but again never turned up despite an email saying it was in transit, turns out it never left the warehouse at all. Six weeks down the line & I wouldn’t trust this company as they never keep their word, I reiterate that the director has no interest in customer service & even replied to a four day old WhatsApp message at 10pm at night with abuse, I did wonder if he’d been drinking to reply so arrogantly at such a late hour but I’m aware he’s like this with any customer who has a complaint looking at the appalling reviews. Lesson learnt the hard way from a customer.

Item arrived broken in 3 places. Very unimpressive in reality, compared with pictures. Called to arrange a refund and initially told no. We held our ground and said we didn't want a replacement. Eventually agreed to a refund(minus £10 for admin.) Item was returned and surprisingly no refund. Emails ignore, phone calls were then made and promises of refund and email responses which never came. Again promised a refund today. Will be seeking a refund via charge back if I don't get the refund. Customer service is the worst I've seen. Companies like this don't deserve the public's business. Why they think it's ok to basically keep money for no services/goods I don't know. Best avoided.

AVOID AVOID AVOID For the last several months I have been trying to resolve a service issue with this company. What a shower they are, they have ignored messages - failed to even pick up the phone - I've been insulted (Eventually getting a response via e mail) Patronised - told that I am suffering from 'buyers remorse' If it weren't for the fact that this issue is still not resolved - at my expense - I would laugh - this company is a joke - there are cheaper better products and again I say - AVOID
