From v Large expensive garden dining sets Garden sofas and rising coffee table to more recently a smaller bistro set hanging baskets solar garden lights and have always been impressed with the staff products delivery both online and in store both Dunboyne and Wicklow
Recently I ordered a solar garden water feature ( not the most expensive item I know at 350 euro approx)
I contacted the shop with a question about the colour and got a prompt reply enclosing a video the shop sourced from the supplier showing a clearer image of the item ……a great response from Outdoor living
I ordered the item and it was delivered promptly and well packed
A week later several phone calls and emails ( all of which were responded to by the sales and purchasing staff in a timely fashion) I still have no working unit
Despite the details saying it came with instructions they were less than useless
There was no diagram as to how to attach the necessary components to each other, no step by step instructions and in fact not even a reference as to where to put in the water in or up to what level
I took a chance and put it in the hole in the back 🙄🙄🙄 no plastic insert just a hole
Finally today I get an email from Outdoor Living saying that the plastic hose in the reservoir should be attached to the pump
This is the same plastic hose that again you had to figure out to feed it down into the hole in back back ( which was not referred to in the instructions, the word reservoir never appeared and still no diagram showing how to attach pump to hose
On my first call to Outdoor Living I explained that although I am not a DIY person (. 62 year old lady with mobility issues) and all the bending etc had worn me out and I really needed assistance I have managed to put together a few things recently by following the instructions so I am not completely useless
Even still now I am left to go back out bend down stick my hand into the jagged hole ( upgraded by supplier to a reservoir)
It is now filled with water so I gave to feel around pull out the pump pull out the hose and stare at them for the hundredth time wondering how they fit together
If this review gives the impression that I am fraustrated beyond belief then you would be
correct ………….

“Purchased an arbour last month, it was delivered in a reasonable time frame. You have to read sales description carefully as doesn't come fully assembled, which I was prepared for.
Issues encountered, missing screws in package. I contacted outdoorliving who had to check with their warehouse for spares and would get back to me. I haven't heard from them, and went and got replacements myself so I could erect it.
Instructions to assemble are very basic, not much detail. Instructions are covered in 3 pages with picture on each page. The assembly involves 300+ steps and takes approx 4 hours.”
