"I had a very personal and financially devastating experience with an online scam. Most recovery services I found were either unresponsive or clearly untrustworthy. "My experience with OVO Energy has been deeply disappointing and feels deliberately exploitative.\r\n\r\nWhen I moved into my property on 14th January 2025, I submitted an accurate electricity meter reading of 9071, which was given to me by my landlord. Despite providing this reading multiple times, OVO completely ignored it and instead fabricated a false opening reading of 6137\u2014a figure they could not possibly have obtained, as they never attended the property. I want to know who gave them this reading.\r\n\r\nAt the time I switched to a new provider, my gas account had \u00a352 and my electricity account had \u00a357 in credit. To date, OVO has not returned a single penny of this money. Instead, in what appears to be an effort to avoid repaying me, they are now fabricating meter readings and issuing bills based on inaccurate data.\r\n\r\nThey have only sent a final bill for gas, which falsely shows a debt instead of acknowledging my credit. As for the electricity, I have still not received a final bill at all.\r\n\r\nI live with mental health challenges, and it feels like OVO is banking on that to avoid accountability. But I will not stay silent or give up. My landlord is willing to confirm the correct readings, and I will pursue every possible avenue until this is resolved and my money is returned.\r\n\r\nThis is not just poor service\u2014this is unethical, and I urge others to be cautious.\r\n\r\nRoseline"

I have been with them since 2014. a few problems with system updates. 2021. they are sorting it out. Had part of it fixed. No hassle over payments or balance i owed them. Were great but will be leaving once all is sorted out.
