Thanks so much for your review Barbara :) We have used PayPal for a number of years and added Stripe as a partner about 4 years ago. Since then we have found Stripe to be a really good payment option; both for our creators and their guests. Unfortunately PayPal was the source of frustration for some of our creators' guests and the very tiny number of negative reviews we have ever received are all because of PayPal! So in all honesty, it was a decision that we came to over a period of time to improve the payment process for everyone. That's not to say in time that we won't return to PayPal - but we do want to make sure that when we do, it's because it's a genuinely good offering for all of our users! “Site functionality is ok, however prior to or post payment there doesn’t seem to be anything informing you of how your transaction will be confirmed, e.g. a screen showing you what you just ordered, an order confirmation number, information explaining what you need to show when you arrive at a venue, a message informing you that you will receive an email (and that said email should be used for entry to the venue). Thanks”

Hi there, Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review for Patchwork. We've been really happy to have been able to support school fundraising during ongoing uncertainty and have responded to lots of feedback from schools on our platform with some brilliant site updates and improvements. Patchwork is very much a self-service and freeform platform, so individuals or schools can create unique events in a very flexible and creative way. The downside of that is that we do rely on schools and individuals to add information to their page or their communications to ensure that visitors understand what the plan is and what they need to do! So I apologise if all the information wasn't made very clear by the school, but just wanted to explain how the platform works and that it's very much within the creator's control how they use the platform, and that will differ depending on the kind of event that's being hosted.
