“Excellent range of products and brands. Delivery was fast (England to Sweden in under a week) and free (special offer for Loake). They even included some bonuses, a free shoe horn and shoe wax. I will definitely come back as a customer.”

“I had been looking for a source for well made kilties for about a year and Pediwear was able to provide Trickers brand at a fair price. Shipping to the USA was very quick and the order was packed in the best manner. It is a shame that the same care is not shown by vendors here in the USA. They will be receiving future business from me soon.”

Dear Customer Thank you for your review, I am very sorry to see that we have let you down in this way, particularly as you are a regular customer. I hope you will bare with me while I take the time to explain why this happened. I am not making excuses - I agree that we failed on several counts in dealing with this matter - but I would like you to be aware of the circumstances. In fact we are as frustrated as you about the matter of these products. We were visited only a month ago by the representative who promised delivery if we ordered at that time - and we placed a significant order anticipating good demand. When the delivery arrived we put the images on our website - which was, I concede, a little hasty. We only realised that none of the colour you ordered were available when we received your order. We had falsely assumed that these would follow the first batch. Nobody had told us that there was any problem or that the item was discontinued. We only discovered this when we telephoned to enquire when the rest of our order would arrive. This manufacturer is not prone to these sorts of issues - but in future we will certainly check that we have received new items before advertising them. I am very sorry that we did not take the time to explain the situation in more detail to you at the time too. I will email you separately to try to resolve the matter. “I ordered a pair of Barker Boots online for a wedding, although they were my usual sizing the fit was too big. I called into the Halifax store on route to the event, although they didn't have the same colour boot in the size I needed, the team in store worked hard to make sure I left with something I was happy with (not easy when you're as indecisive as me). After making several trips to the Warehouse I finally had some footwear and wasn't forced to attend a woodland wedding barefoot. Great team of staff, my only minor gripe is that out of about 5 or 6 pairs I looked at and wanted to try, most were out of stock of the size I needed, but I realise companies hold less stock when they can order direct from the supplier. I would suggest maybe making a comment on the website when a shoe or boot fits bigger than usual to help customers get the right size first time. All my other shoes are an 8 but the size 7 Barker boots fit me perfectly (and also the Grenson boots I tried I needed a 7!).”

Hi Ben Thank you for your review. We are very pleased to hear that we did manage to fit you out with some shoes for the wedding and that you thought our team were great. They try hard and work to ensure we do all we can for our customers. Our website does offer a very wide range of footwear from many different manufacturers - all of which we can obtain with a day or two in most cases - which is fine for our internet customers who are very happy with such a wide range. Unfortunately it would not be economically viable to hold such a large range in stock in all sizes - I hope you will appreciate this. We do have a number of customers who ring us a few days before attending the shop to check what is in stock and if necessary order particular styles in for them to try. Regarding the fitting issue you mention - unfortunately this is a very thorny issue. Feet are very different and some people who consider themselves usually a size 8 might find as you did, but others will not because of the different morphology of their feet. It is unwise therefore for us to make suggestions on the product pages because customers understandably become most upset when they find their own feet fit differently. We prefer to treat all of our customers like the individuals they are and give the personalised advise via telephone or live chat based on their previous shoes and current requirements.
