“Very helpful. Had to return first pair of chukka boots (not to my taste). Second pair, (Loakes, which I should have gone for in the first place), were delivered with speed plus a wee freebie for by. Now a member of the Pediwear Loakes Club which entitles me to 10/% off further Loake purchases (and they may well be more).”

“Thank you for the delivery of shoes. Important note: when the shipment to Russia to be that price is specified in the invoice and the accompanying documents corresponded to the price of the paid goods. In my case I had to arrive at the customs office and fill in a lot of unnecessary documents explaining why I paid the same amount, and received the goods in another amount. It is due to the free investments from you, the cost of which has been indicated in the invoice. Thank you”

Dear Mr Vistyak Thank you for leaving a review and for leaving us 4 stars despite the problems you experienced. Unfortunately, a requirement of using UPS is using those invoices and even though we supply the shoe trees free we have to state their value to comply with UPS policies. We started using UPS to try to avoid the delays sometimes associated with Royal Mail and Parcelforce to Russia. Unfortunately it seems that these invoices have caused concerns for our customers and like you, they have been subjected to lots of form filling at customs. We have now decided to revert back to Royal Mail and Parcelforce instead of UPS (unless customers specifically request UPS) - so this problem should not recur. In the meantime we hope you enjoy your footwear and that you will not be put off ordering from us again. Kind Regards Mike Small Pediwear

Dear Mr Chell Thank you for your review, I am pleased to hear you are happy with your shoes. I cannot help but share in your frustration that you were not kept up to date in relation to your order. Whilst we cannot control the output from the factory, we have systems in place so that orders can be chased when they become overdue, and it seems this was not done in your case. I tightened up these systems two weeks ago in the hope of avoiding just such an incident. Please be assured that this sort of thing should not happen in future. Loake are usually very reliable when it comes to giving delivery time estimates, which is probably why Stephen felt able to confidently advise you, but we should have kept you updated when the shoes did not arrive. The contact with Pediwear has been good. The information I got by e-mail was fast and adequate.
