“My order was cancelled. The reason cited was because they ran out of sizes for the pair of shoe they were showing/selling on the site and the factory stopped production of the series. However, now i see the same pair of shoes that is supposed to run out of sizes are still on sales with the size available. This happened during the Black Friday Promotion.”

Dear Customer I am sorry to read about your experience with ordering from our site. I can understand why this experience was puzzling and frustrating. The shoes have been discontinued - part of a number of styles they have discontinued without notifying us. The shoes should have been removed from the website as soon as you were advised of this problem - it understandably causes frustration for customers when this does not happen immediately. We have removed them now and I have discussed this with the relevant brand manager so that they have been reminded of the need to remove such styles immediately. I hope you will appreciate that there was no intention to deceive and the shoes have been discontinued. In our defence we have had a very busy time following Black Friday which may have contributed to them omitting to carry out what should have been a routine task. “They sent me the best shoes I could ever dream of, have me a free shoe horn, free Prediwear polish and (which was included in the online offer anyway) a pair of lasted shoe trees. The Alfred Sargent Exclusive collection really surpasses the quality of the "old" AS Premier collection in many details (e.g. the "fiddle back" of the sole, the shape of the heel etc.). They must have improved their style, learning from G&G. The leather quality also is splendid. Alas, the shoes came "in the rough", not polished as in the picture. On the other hand, this leaves the fun of preparing them properly to the owner!”

“1. Change Russian courier company. Russian EMS now doesn't ship parcels home! I need to go to their office far from my home. So just use simple Russian Post. It's more cheaper and close to home. 2. You don't have more summer shoes like topsiders (Sperry, Sebago) or chukka boots (Clarks). 3. Add Russian sizes to your size chats”

Dear Customer Thank you for giving us 5 stars despite your concerns over Russian EMS. Unfortunately we do not have any choice regarding the shipping agents used within Russia - this is decided upon between Royal Mail and Parcelforce. We can use other couriers to some Russian customers - please do email before your next order if you would like to consider. We no longer stock Sebago and indeed have never stocked Sperry or Clarks. We specialise in premium Goodyear welted footwear and this will always be our main focus. However, many of the brands we sell do offer chukka boots and boat shoes - please use our footwear search to see these products. Finally - we have now added some Russian sizes to our sizing chart. It is not an area we have two much experience with so we would be very grateful for your views on whether our conversions appear accurate. “Cedar shoe trees were delivered promptly (with tracking) and in excellent condition. I have also noticed that Pediwear cedar shoe trees are of higher quality than several other brand name cedar shoe trees that I've come across, well done!”
