“I purchased the Backbone controller because of a game that I heavily play a game called “last day on earth”. I have no way of remapping the buttons on the Backbone controller without having to use the on screen buttons from the last day on earth game”

“The technology and software is remarkable. The connection is immediate, and it’s super easy and simple to set up on the newer devices. I haven’t tried the older models of iPhone yet, but so far so good!! The only thing I have to complain about is the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max adapter. It doesn’t properly fit my cell (the iPhone 13 Pro), and causes it to pop out of the Backbone controller a bit. I’ve tried to adjust it many ways, but it just doesn’t work. There’ll definitely need to be tweaks to it.”

“Absolutely love it! It actually came with the 13 Pro Max adapter and it fits perfectly. Only one little problem I’m having and that is the connection with the phone. If I adjust my hand in the right and move that side of the controller slightly, it disconnects, and starts to fight with itself connecting and disconnecting continuously until it stays connected. Other than that I really like this controller. I would’ve given it a 5th star if I weren’t having this issue. My phone is brand new and I haven’t had any issues connecting to my charger.”

“It’s a nice apparatus. Just wish it could accommodate cases Wish the thin sticks had like grip tape material on them like the Xbox controllers do. Might have to find a subtle way to do that myself.”

“This little thing is awesome! The only game I pretty much play is COD Mobile, and it makes it playable anywhere. There our over 1,000 little games to check out so I’m sure I’ll find others I enjoy as well. The controller is very responsive and I haven’t had much lag at all. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is a PlayStation biased reason…and more of a suggestion:) It’s more Xbox user friendly due to it’s layout of controls. It’s awesome that it’s compatible with both Android and Apple, so to have the option to choose between PLayStation and Xbox control layouts in the future would be awesome 🤙🏼”

“Very awesome product, especially for a first generation one. I love that this controller has software to back it up, which makes me hope that Apple takes notice and buys you guys so you are fully integrated into the OS, like an Xbox or PlayStation. I do have some criticisms of it, but they are very minor. 1) The charger is such an awesome feature for a controller that connects via the lightning port. But it charges slow, especially when playing a very cpu/gpu intensive game. If it supported power delivery, it would be awesome. Obviously this may mean changing some things to avoid heat being an issue. 2) This may be an issue of size as well, but the controller is a bit cramped when using for long periods of time, like 1:30. Maybe making it a bit more ergonomic, especially the button layout, would be awesome. Now as feature for gen two: 1). Adding a Bluetooth support in the future, with a switch to turn it on or off. This would mean having a battery, which means having a battery indicator be very nice. 2). A kickstand for when you just are too lazy to take out the phone and want to watch Netflix 3). Support for cases on the phone, even just slim ones would be nice.”

“Only issue I’ve had is the size. The controller potions are just a bit too small for my hands which start to feel uncomfortable after half an hour or so of gaming. Otherwise, great design, feels sturdy and the buttons are very responsive. Very happy with my purchase! If they come out with a Backbone XL, I’ll pick it up ASAP!”

“I like it, does what it advertised. I have big hands and this is made for smallish hands. I’ll even go as far as medium sized hands. But it works and is fun, just gotta get used to the small form.”

“The backbone is a pretty cool thing to have. I mostly bought it for work, when it’s a slow day. It’s amazing how many games you can play on it and I barely experience lag as well. The only thing that concerns me are the thumb sticks. They look like after playing on the backbone a few time that it will wear out and break. Also the sensitivity on it can feel weird at times.”

“Very nice product and a new level to mobile gaming, however the only down fall is you must remove the phone case to use this device. Design V2 to allow the case to stay on the phone.”
