“This controller works wonderfully, allowing me to game in situations where space is a limitation, like in a cramped airplane seat. The only drawback is having to remove my phone from its case—a small price to pay.”

“Great quality, shipped super fast, and overall a good product. My only complaint is that sometimes the remote doesn’t sync with the app, the backbone or Xbox cloud app. It’ll load everything but the remote won’t respond or connect and I’ll have to restart everything a few times for it to connect. A few times it had a late response to the controls and I would lag. I disconnected the remote and tried playing the games with just the touch screen to see if maybe it was my internet connection but that wasn’t the case because the game would run smoothly. Like I said overall it’s a great product and you are definitely getting your moneys worth.”

“Backbone feels solidly made and works great. I didn't realize how much the app adds to the device itself (although I also didn't realize that the app will cost a monthly fee after the first year). I did have some trouble in that I initially received only a one-month Game Pass free subscription even though when I purchased the agreement was for three months. After several days of emailing customer service, they worked it out and provided the three-month code.”

“Great device, works as advertised. Plug and play! Would love an XL version for my slightly larger hands, triggers a little too easy to press by accident. Included 13 Pro Max adapter, simple installation. Phone fits flush and feels secure. High level of finish, would recommend to anyone who plays games on an iPhone.”

“I highly recommend it, it’s on par with PlayStation or Xbox controller quality or better. It’s a bit pricey though, so it’s not for everyone. So if price is a concern, look elsewhere. A controller clip works just as good and are about 10-15 dollars. But if you got money to burn to get the best mobile gaming experience. This is the best controller to get.”

“So far I’ve enjoyed it quite a bit, but for larger games, like Xbox games that are played on the cloud, it can lag quite a bit. Works great with iPhone apps though. Overall fun product to use, and cheaper than the newer handheld gaming devices.”

“I love the controller and the software which makes life very easy. The only request is to give the grips more substance. If where you grab the controller the grip is more in line with the XBOX controller, this would be perfect.”

“I’ve had my Backbone for a little over a week. So far I’m very happy with it. It’s so easy to use, and combining it with remote play from my PlayStation and Xbox is awesome. One issue I’ve had pop up a couple of times is the controller has stopped registering inputs from any of the buttons in any game or app. After removing the controller from the phones lightning port and reinserting it works again. Lightly annoying but as long as it doesn’t happen more frequently I don’t feel it’s too big of a problem. I’d recommend it to anyone who’s thinks they’d be interested. Playing games in my phone is now something I do almost daily.”

“Good hardware just they sent a notification it was shipped then nothing for 2 weeks. I emailed and then maybe the next day it got shipped and only because I kept checking myself.”
