I was disappointed that Postscript Books used Evri to deliver the book, rather than Royal Mail. I would like Postscript Books to use Royal Mail because Royal Mail is unionised and has better conditions of employment for its employees than Evri, which is not unionised. Furthermore, giving trade to Royal Mail would help boost a company that delivers letters, which is an important public service.

Choosing the right delivery partner is a balance of reliability, cost, and service, but we take our customers' values seriously. With this in mind, we do also offer Royal Mail as an alternative means of sending your parcel. This can be selected at checkout when placing your order online. I am impressed by Postscript Books. Telephone service is prompt,friendly and efficient. The catalogue is interesting and regularly refreshed. Speed of selection and ordering is important and recommended, as titles which prove popular run swiftly out of stock.

Excellent service only let down by use of Evri who do not follow instructions. It is not helpful of them to leave parcels of books outside, often in the rain. Although the books are wrapped in bubble wrap, leaks can occur. Instructions say to leave in porch. They don't usually even ring the bell.

I ordered three recent but well discounted books on Scottish History / Archeaology. They arrived promptly & well packaged. As I had experienced with EVRI deliveries previously I asked Post Script to remind their courier to deliver their order to the door of my second floor flat rather than leaving them just outside the building because I am housebound & unable to nip downstairs to retrieve parcels as soon as I am informed of their delivery. This time the EVRI courier handed my parcel to me.

Pity about the delay ay your warehouse: first time I have ever had a problem due to Postscript. Evri was useless as usual: did not inform me of delivery window until ONE MINUTE before delivery, and then said it could come any time from 25 minutes previously! Their awfulness (not just with you, but whoever uses them) actually puts me off making orders. Can't you use a decent courier such as dpd?

I can see that our warehouse team dispatched this on the day of your order being placed, so I'm disappointed to hear that the parcel didn't arrive the following day as expected. It's unusual for a next day order to not arrive on the promised date, and after investigating we found that there were a few parcels that had not been scanned on time, resulting in a 24 hour delay. Please know that this has been escalated with the courier who has addressed this immediately. However, this doesn't account for the confusing updates and short notice delivery window, so we'll make sure that this is followed up. While this is an unusual occurrence, we understand that some customers would prefer to use a different courier for their deliveries, so we have added Royal Mail to our available options. Very swift delivery. But I didn't get a thank you for my email telling them they'd spelt John Lanchester's name wrong in their weekly email circular. In fact I almost didn't order the book because I thought 'John Lancaster' was some other author! So sometimes such mistakes may have more impact than you'd imagine - lost sales!

I have given up on the delivery time of 3 to 5 working days. From order to delivery it is more often 8 days so that I have adjusted my reading to cater for this longer lead time.

I have been a customer of Postscript Books for over 20 years and have always found them excellent. Recently the prices have gone up and the quality has gone down and I am buying fewer books. Too many series. Also, it would be good to include some large print books for older readers.

All ok, getting slightly concerned about the delivery of my books/other items though, but fingers crossed things will be better later on... if not, you may have to consider going elsewhere to get the books and other items delivered to customers. The ordering service online by Postsript is brill!
