“I have shopped at publix all my adult life. I am now boycotting because of there prices. They are so much higher than other stores. I stopped shopping there after the pandemic. I went back recently and have noticed the prices are going up again. They don't care about their customers at all.”
“Publix tries to justify its high prices for what they call good service? I shop at two different Publix and they both do not have good service. Not only are they unhelpful and rude, they are almost always out of something that I am going in there to shop for. The bakery bread I get is always out unless I get there early in the morning. I work. The self checkout does not allow you to get cash back. Why is that? Publix prices are higher than anyone. Everyone knows it. Usually most people go just because it’s the closest to their house. I have officially boycotted Publix and will only shop at grocery stores that offer cheaper prices and more organic options. I can’t tell you how many times I have gone to a Publix and they are out of what I’m looking for. They are so high-end they don’t even offer single Publix brand waters in their cases by the checkout lanes. Isn’t that interesting they make you pay almost 3 dollars for a bottle of water instead of $.50 like Walmart. Are people just so wealthy that they don’t need to save money by shopping at grocery stores that offer prices that are so much better. I have compared my grocery list for the same exact products and it is astounding. It may be a little bit more inconvenient to go to a super Walmart, Costco or Aldi but at the end of the day you would still save money. Do you really need to spend more on your groceries for sometimes a better experience they don’t even have that anymore. Good luck, Publix.”
“Do not buy chicken thighs at any Publix. The last two purchases consisted of processed meat, and Publix advertises as thighs on bone. I AM DONE!!!! For the money Publix charges the quality of meat and produce fall below 2.0.”
“It is a concern overall that these big corporations are making a huge profit from consumer's already, but to force their employees to continuously ask for donations every day with each transaction is somewhat harassing. Don't mind giving to March of Dimes because it is a good cause but forcing it on your employees to ask your customers for a donation or they are reprimanded for not asking.
I told a cashier I already donated yesterday, are you going to ask me everyday would you like to donate? Was informed we have to ask or get in trouble. Trouble?
Publix makes enough profit to donate to March of Dimes on their own accord with their skyrocketing product purchases. A bar of Aveeno Soap has skyrocketed to $4.09 from $2.49, Dove Bar Soap to $6.49, All detergent to $15.99. Publix donate some of those proceeds from skyrocketing prices to March of Dimes and stop the harassing of your customers.
Publix prohibits any type of solicitation in their parking lot but then Publix do it inside their stores.”
“How can you sell Tru Fruit chocolate covered bananas for $10? Price gouging is off the chain and you all should be ashamed. I've been a loyal customer for years but not anymore.”
“The Publix in Aiken is a mess. They are building another one, so that should relieve some of the overcrowding. My biggest complaint is about their self check out bags. Customers cannot get the bags apart because they have been to compressed and do not pull apart easily. It slows up the line, creates frustration and is counter productive to a self checkout concept. Their employees are aware of it and comment on it, stating that this happens all the time. Again, makes no sense. Find a vendor that is aware of these issue stand that will provide an easier bag to check out. Kinda simple, I think.”
“Just overall Publix has just become a second rate grocery store. Every time I enter to do weekly shopping, UGH!!!! Produce not fresh and on and on.
Sprouts is my go to now. Yes few more dollars, but quality counts.”
“My husband' favorite Publix brand yogurt (pineapple) was removed from the shelf. I've been waiting for 2 weeks, thinking it was just sold out, but to my amazement it was discontinued, just like a lot of my favorites. The strawberry publix yogurt no longer contains strawberrys, just a red coloring to imitate the color of a red strawberry. What a shame. I could go on and on about your discontinued merchandise. But it wouldn't do any good. You shrink the products and then raise the prices. That's why I shop with Walmart. Although they have raised their prices also. But not as high as Publix.”
“Publix is a great food market. They have quality foods, and I am sorry that this site only rates the store as a whole. Packaging remains a problem with hard to open containers and packages. I just bought Publix Reduced Fat Cobly Jack Cheese Sticks. It states easy to open. IT IS NOT! I have to use a scissors to open each one.”
“Don’t buy Boar’s Head grab and go sandwich. It looked like it had a lot of turkey in it, but it was just a little mound at the display point and over half was just dry bread”
“I use to like publix till today! While at the cold and hot bar getting lunch a publix worker reached right across my platter to grab or do something right next to me. This person has no idea how rude that was I just left my whole lunch there at the cold bar and left. Wow I never seen anything like it no one to my right or left and she was right there on top of my lunch a 20 seconds and she could have did what she wanted. Absolutely ruined my lunch”
“The process was smooth, and I finally felt a sense of closure after days of stress and uncertainty. This experience was a harsh wake-up call about the dangers of trusting online financial platforms. No matter how legitimate a company seems, it’s essential to conduct thorough research before making any investment. I now take extra precautions and encourage others to do the same. If something feels off, act quickly waiting too long can make all the difference in whether or not your funds are recoverable.””
“Borders Best watermelon is maybe the most disappointing watermelon I have ever had! It’s June 6th the peak of the Florida season and Publix store in Wesley Chapel “Their new store “ put this out as a quality product! I’m sorry it way below my expectations, I’m a watermelon consumer but I will never buy a another watermelon from Publix!”
“Your stores do not allow us to scan our united health cards we have to pull up the info on phone which doesn’t work
Inside a building with metal roof. Called corporate the provided an answer that their machines can’t scan the cards. Dollar general. Walmart and other very small stores can. Guess they don’t want to keep older customers. Goodbye they are many other grocery choices. Plus half the time their pharmacy can’t sell over the counter medications cause their computers won’t let the process the sale. Guess you guys need a real IT team/department”
“Publix employees have been generally polite and helpful . 5/29/25, we grabbed the last 4 of the Amy’s Pot Pies on sale and had wanted more. At customer service, Patrick who was not at all eagar to provide service after several minutes looking at his computer, said he could not give us a rain check as the product was not a manager’s special. We got rain checks before for butter, Coconut milk, pot pies that were on sale. Could not understand why Patrick refused us.”
“Ordered an Italian sub from the Banana River Publix in Cocoa Beach. Sub had the incorrect bread. Had no sauces on it or banana pepper. And was only a few minutes late.”
“Publix 504, today I went in for hoagie rolls and they were really hard, I'm use to the being soft in the past, but lately things have been going down hill at Publix 504, so I've been going to the Southgate public in New Port Richey, which everything is way better. I'm not happy with the Publix near my house although the people are still nice, the product isn't great...”
“East Lake Publix never have any bread for sandwiches, this is the second time within a month, and publix app allow you to continue to place order, and no phone call or email stating that they are out of bread.”
