Bought the carrot cake cupcakes, taste like a very mild spice cake nothing like carrot cake and the frosting was buttercream not the avertised cream cheese frosting. Very dissappointed.

Publix is biggest ripoff. There prices are double on 80% of there products Look for alternative stores trust me you would save half of your monthly grocery bill.

I brought today, Iced Cinnamon Swirl Cake $6.49/ expired 3/23/2026 , I've never had any bake good that was awful. Hardly any cinnamon. It was dry and the frosting tasted bad, too. Very disappointing in Publix bakery.

To expensive for people on fixed income. Publix up charges their Bogo items. Walmart is almost half the charge on same item. Publix half gallon flavored coffee creamer in half gallon is almost $10.00 and Walmart is $ 6.50. I encourage everyone to STOP shopping Publix

This is the 3rd time I have bought Chicken at Publix and it is not only tough and flavorless, but I have had two whole chickens I used as a beer can chicken on the grill and it came off like a piece of rubber. Today, I purchased two rib in breasts, 2 skin on thighs and package of wings, that I was putting in a frying pan to brown,(after the flour, salt and pepper). I then transferred to a large stock pot and put in the oven at 225 degrees for 1 and 1/2 hrs. Meat was falling off the bone but extremely tough and absolutely no flavor. I don't know who your supplier is, but I will never buy any Chicken or any other meat's at Publix. Especially when I pay lots more for product at Publix. Thank you; Tom Pifer, Spring Hill, Fl.

Hire a new assistant pharmacy manager, Will A. Was right on in his review . Our family will never set foot in a Publix again My physician sent a prescription electronically, it was for a controlled substance. We were told the prescription would be ready in a week. 8 days later, my wife goes to the pharmacy to pick up my medication and is told by the associate that they do not carry that medication. My wife shows the prescription and how they accepted the prescription. She then ask the associate, why would you accept a prescription for something you don't carry a tell us to pick it up on a specific date. My wife has documentation in her hand, the electronic transcript and prescription. The associate was flustered and the line was getting longer. The associate asked the assistant pharmacy manager Maria Elena, whom was on the phone like dealing with someone or something else, she yelled down that she didn't have time to deal with that woman and echoed what the associate said. When my wife came home fuming and upset that she couldn't get my medication for the pain I was in following a spinal fusion. I became livid, not about the medicine, but how she was treated at a store we go to for our entire family's prescription and shopping 2-3 times a week, guessing we spend about $50k a year. So being livid I called Publix headquarters, good luck getting someone on the phone with a pulse. I finally did and there solution was to have Maria Elena call to find out what happened. She had lots of questions, but when I told her the rude associate in question was her. Her tone immediately changed into the rude person that spoke to my wife. She said it never happened, it's not her nature to be rude to a client, but here she was on the phone being rude to me. She insisted it wasn't her. I then asked, is there another assistant manager , older, heavy set with thinning hair, as you can expect, that didn't go well and she dug in harder and said my wife was mistaken. I then said, there is 2 sides to the story, one with nothing to gain and the other defending bad behavior. So I said, if you are telling me the truth, then you're telling me my wife made this up and is lying to me. Her response was you are putting words in my mouth , I said no I am not. If your story is true, my wife lied. But I know my wife, she fought for my prescription and held up the line. I said mam, you are a rude person that has no place in the service industry, you were to call me and apologize, instead, she treated me just like my wife. Well PUBLIX, i know your a big corporation and we used to love shopping there, but we are taking our $50,000 dollars a year and going to Milan's, Walgreens any place other than Publix. Based upon other reviews on this site, you have a problem and folks are growing tired of how we are being treated. We are just the beginning of folks making choices about the way they wish to be treated. No need to contact me, I have already experienced how you handle your problems. No I don't need a fruit basket or a gift certificate...... there is a change coming and the message is out. WHAT amazes me is reading all the reviews and that pharmacy has a 1.8 rating and Publix to my knowledge has done nothing. Keep the reviews coming!

The romaine lettuce is always brown towards the bottom and they still put it on the shelves. I showed a worker and he agreed and took it off the shelf. Their prices are very high and the quality has dropped

This is the second time I had gastric distress after eating Publix cake. The first time was the tiramisu but I couldn’t imagine it being that, but this time it was the carrot cake. The abdominal pain followed by diarrhea made me aware it was from the cake.,unbelievable. Just last week the slices were BOGO, so this must have been the leftover cake. I have a cold so my taste buds are off. The cake was dry and it didn’t taste like the carrot cake I’m use to, but I thought it was because I have a cold. I’m all set and will not be buying cake from them anymore. Thank goodness I didn’t finish the whole slice of cake. I tried to upload a picture but it said unable to upload.

I went to your store in Palm Harbor and was given a guilt trip and attitude by my cashier when I couldn't donate to your charity. That was wrong of him. I was mortified!

How management in Chapin and Elgin stores have very good employees, show up everyday and work hard. When it comes to annual raise tells employee you missed days. Come to find out they were pto days, and tells employee, as they know they were pre-approved days off with time accrued for them, too bad cannot do nothing until next year. Same thing they said last year after screwing great employees out of money. Good luck keeping great employees that way. Hopefully management can do better than that. All them rumors of Publix as an great employer are going down hill.

Overpriced on almost everything. I only go there, because they have a particular cut of meat that other stores don't carry. There is a bone in the cut of meat. When I opened the package of the (overpriced) meat and turned it over to season it, the bone on the underside was at least 3 times the size of the side that showed in the package as well as a bunch of fat (it's not a fatty cut of meat). If I'm lucky, I might get a half a pound of meat from it. I'm on a fixed income, and I can't afford to throw money away on inedible product. Totally disgusted with Publix.

Working at Publix is definitely NOT a great experience. They hire you for 1 job and will just stick you doing other jobs you didnt sign up for. I got hired for a cashier and had to work in the bakery one night...never worked over there and never been trained to work over there. If you bag, you can be bagging a huge order but then the instacart phone rings and you get pulled away to take that out then a customer SWEARS something was bogo when it was actually buy TWO get 1 free and you have to stop to go check a price then another instacart order then go backs then cleaning and did I forget to mention cart duty?!! Which is a 30 minute rotation of bringing in carts. Then you might have to clean bathrooms or change all the trash cans, meanwhile back in the office the managers watch you on camera and critique your every move. They do however wave bye as they're leaving for the night. Then there's the lovely chores. Cleaning all the registers, sweeping, all while stopping to make sure customers dont have to wait in line. Its frustrating and exhausting. They constantly hire young kids and then all summer they call out because it's a pretty day and they dont want to be stuck at work but won't give the people who have been there their fair share of hours. The managers rotate like revolving doors and they will make you do 5 jobs at once instead of helping. Its like working in a factory with a nice green shirt and an apron.
