“Bought the carrot cake cupcakes, taste like a very mild spice cake nothing like carrot cake and the frosting was buttercream not the avertised cream cheese frosting. Very dissappointed.”
“Publix is biggest ripoff. There prices are double on 80% of there products
Look for alternative stores trust me you would save half of your monthly grocery bill.”
“I brought today, Iced Cinnamon Swirl Cake $6.49/ expired 3/23/2026 , I've never had any bake good that was awful. Hardly any cinnamon. It was dry and the frosting tasted bad, too. Very disappointing in Publix bakery.”
“To expensive for people on fixed income. Publix up charges their Bogo items. Walmart is almost half the charge on same item. Publix half gallon flavored coffee creamer in half gallon is almost $10.00 and Walmart is $ 6.50. I encourage everyone to STOP shopping Publix”
“This is the 3rd time I have bought Chicken at Publix and it is not only tough and flavorless, but I have had two whole chickens I used as a beer can chicken on the grill and it came off like a piece of rubber. Today, I purchased two rib in breasts, 2 skin on thighs and package of wings, that I was putting in a frying pan to brown,(after the flour, salt and pepper). I then transferred to a large stock pot and put in the oven at 225 degrees for 1 and 1/2 hrs. Meat was falling off the bone but extremely tough and absolutely no flavor. I don't know who your supplier is, but I will never buy any Chicken or any other meat's at Publix. Especially when I pay lots more for product at Publix. Thank you; Tom Pifer, Spring Hill, Fl.”
“I bought an apple pie from the Publix Hoffner and Conway Rd. location. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a lot of apples just filling. Very disappointed. I tried numerous of time loading a photo but it wouldn’t load.”

“Hire a new assistant pharmacy manager, Will A. Was right on in his review . Our family will never set foot in a Publix again
My physician sent a prescription electronically, it was for a controlled substance. We were told the prescription would be ready in a week. 8 days later, my wife goes to the pharmacy to pick up my medication and is told by the associate that they do not carry that medication. My wife shows the prescription and how they accepted the prescription. She then ask the associate, why would you accept a prescription for something you don't carry a tell us to pick it up on a specific date. My wife has documentation in her hand, the electronic transcript and prescription.
The associate was flustered and the line was getting longer. The associate asked the assistant pharmacy manager Maria Elena, whom was on the phone like dealing with someone or something else, she yelled down that she didn't have time to deal with that woman and echoed what the associate said.
When my wife came home fuming and upset that she couldn't get my medication for the pain I was in following a spinal fusion.
I became livid, not about the medicine, but how she was treated at a store we go to for our entire family's prescription and shopping 2-3 times a week, guessing we spend about $50k a year.
So being livid I called Publix headquarters, good luck getting someone on the phone with a pulse. I finally did and there solution was to have Maria Elena call to find out what happened. She had lots of questions, but when I told her the rude associate in question was her. Her tone immediately changed into the rude person that spoke to my wife. She said it never happened, it's not her nature to be rude to a client, but here she was on the phone being rude to me. She insisted it wasn't her. I then asked, is there another assistant manager , older, heavy set with thinning hair, as you can expect, that didn't go well and she dug in harder and said my wife was mistaken. I then said, there is 2 sides to the story, one with nothing to gain and the other defending bad behavior. So I said, if you are telling me the truth, then you're telling me my wife made this up and is lying to me. Her response was you are putting words in my mouth , I said no I am not. If your story is true, my wife lied. But I know my wife, she fought for my prescription and held up the line. I said mam, you are a rude person that has no place in the service industry, you were to call me and apologize, instead, she treated me just like my wife.
Well PUBLIX, i know your a big corporation and we used to love shopping there, but we are taking our $50,000 dollars a year and going to Milan's, Walgreens any place other than Publix.
Based upon other reviews on this site, you have a problem and folks are growing tired of how we are being treated. We are just the beginning of folks making choices about the way they wish to be treated.
No need to contact me, I have already experienced how you handle your problems. No I don't need a fruit basket or a gift certificate...... there is a change coming and the message is out.
WHAT amazes me is reading all the reviews and that pharmacy has a 1.8 rating and Publix to my knowledge has done nothing.
Keep the reviews coming!”
“Lakeside Village Windermere FL
Expected 10 family members for Thanksgiving… however our plans fell apart when some people in the group forgot to make reservations with the rest of us. OMG what to do the day before Thanksgiving… everything I tried fell through… so I googled Publix and they were advertising Thanksgiving Dinners. I crossed my fingers and called Tuesday night around 9:30pm and to my surprise they were still open. I ordered their dinner with no problem at all… the price was amazing…the customer service on the phone was awesome… very helpful indeed. Picked up my dinner on time and our dinner was awesome… the Turkey was just perfect… well seasoned and not dry at all … I was so pleased and impressed as to how my dinner turned out… just amazing in every way. I shop at this location 90% of the time with no complaints. Thank you PUBLIX you guys rock. You saved me.”

“Every person I encountered was super nice and helpful. Despite the very busy Sunday early afternoon, not a single worker was flustered. Just very friendly.
Mandy and Kristin in the deli were super friendly and patient.
Brody B was a nice young man helping customers throughout the store.”
“I have shopped at publix all my adult life. I am now boycotting because of there prices. They are so much higher than other stores. I stopped shopping there after the pandemic. I went back recently and have noticed the prices are going up again. They don't care about their customers at all.”
“I was visiting the High Point Publix store S1582 on 2005 N Main Street. I went to the deli and Mr. Hunter greeted me professionally, with kindness, and a great smile. I had a lot of questions about the sandwiches and the hot food as it was my first time at Publix. He gave me all the answers I needed and a lot of recommendations. The professionalism was just out of this world. I came back the next day because the sandwich was excellent and I got the same experience from the other employees. I commend you all on your professionalism and customer service. Thank you.”

“Publix worries about the wrong thing. Should worry about their increasing prices instead of shoes or apparel.
I commented on an employees shoes, that they are cute. Publix told employee they were not black? I would rather look at those than nose rings, pink blue hair, or tattoos”
“Publix tries to justify its high prices for what they call good service? I shop at two different Publix and they both do not have good service. Not only are they unhelpful and rude, they are almost always out of something that I am going in there to shop for. The bakery bread I get is always out unless I get there early in the morning. I work. The self checkout does not allow you to get cash back. Why is that? Publix prices are higher than anyone. Everyone knows it. Usually most people go just because it’s the closest to their house. I have officially boycotted Publix and will only shop at grocery stores that offer cheaper prices and more organic options. I can’t tell you how many times I have gone to a Publix and they are out of what I’m looking for. They are so high-end they don’t even offer single Publix brand waters in their cases by the checkout lanes. Isn’t that interesting they make you pay almost 3 dollars for a bottle of water instead of $.50 like Walmart. Are people just so wealthy that they don’t need to save money by shopping at grocery stores that offer prices that are so much better. I have compared my grocery list for the same exact products and it is astounding. It may be a little bit more inconvenient to go to a super Walmart, Costco or Aldi but at the end of the day you would still save money. Do you really need to spend more on your groceries for sometimes a better experience they don’t even have that anymore. Good luck, Publix.”
